A favorite and very frequent spot I visit every time i am in Miami which is my hometown. This place has a speakeasy in the back on weekends that has. small sized room with hits from Y2K. It has plenty of inforo and outdoor seating and also has bathrooms. They offer drink machines for refills and they also sell alcohol. The food is so good. I always get the shrimp tacos, street corn, La Rubia beer and a bowl of rice and beans. You wont regret it. A great spot to stop by before, during and after the club. We were in Miami for the night and we found Coyo Taco highly recommended on TikTok. It was in walking distance of the Moxy Hotel where we were staying. Came here for lunch after a local boat ride for a quick bite. It was pretty busy inside which I can understand why. The inside was pretty small and we had a group on 8 and couldnt all sit together. But I ended up order one of their burrito bowls and it was so freaking delicious. Im a sucker for a good burrito bowl. I was walking from the convention center to my hotel and decided to have dinner. Mexican sounded good, being one of my favorite foods. I took a while to order, because a young lady was not only taking by orders, but she was pouring the shots of tequilas as well. So I ordered two beef tacos that was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a burrito bowl with chicken. It was fantastic. The taste profile was a bit different that LA, but I enjoyed it. I sat outside on the patio. This was a great experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I love coming here on the weekends! The food is great, especially the quesadilla. The tacos are really good as well! If you like horchata, order a cup because it's exquisite. There's a speakeasy in the back, the dj always plays all the hits. From throwbacks to new music, it's always a fun time. My first Yelp event! I've been to Coyo Taco a few times and can say with confidence their quesadillas and burritos do not miss. They had a chips and salsa station, with a queso dip that was good but spicy. The salsa was made in house and delicious. The event offered two drink tickets which you could redeem at the bar for a premade margarita and your choice of a tajin rim, I give the drink 7/10. The full bar was available and the bartender was very friendly and efficient. It was a great experience as I had never been in the speakeasy. The Yelp community was so welcoming, I made new friends and danced. The live DJ set the mood perfectly playing all the bangers. HOLY COW!! Lick my nuts and tickle my taint because that has got to be some of the best tacos I've ever had in my life! The service was also astonishing. My food came quicker than a 13 year old watching porn for the first time. They even take your trash from you when you stand up to throw it away! The environment is also amazing. From Latin music inside and out to the cigarette smell from the homeless close by, they truly give you the Miami experience. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and both inside the restaurant and the patio were packed with people enjoying their food and drinks. They also received a lot of takeout and catering orders. Their menu is extensive and has so many variety of tacos; I couldn't decide which one to choose. Finally, we chose "Shrimp Tacos" and "Al Pastor Tacos". We got the birria, duck, and mahi tacos. And omg can I say I never knew how I needed duck on a taco before! Soooo very flavorful and just chefs kiss. I'm already planning my return to order again! Birria is my go to so they can never miss. Now the fish tacos, I was impressed by the nice fresh whole filet. Not the usual little shredded pieces I see some places. The fish was really good but could have used a little more seasoning. The mango salsa I believe is what we added to it made it very delish! My margarita did what a margarita should so that's always a good thing also! After we ate we went into the cute little party room in the back and enjoyed the music for a bit before heading in. Came in after the yelpies for a bite to eat. Jose was amazing !!! He served us and gave such great suggestions. We got the duck, birria, and fish tacos. They had a special tonight which was an extra taco on steak, birria, fish , and one more I can't remember . It was perfect as I was with two other people so we were each able to try one. Came here for a late night after arriving in Miami and I'm glad I did. The line is a bit long, but I'd definitely say it's worth the wait. I got the Mahi fish tacos and they were absolutely delicious! The fish was so fresh and well seasoned. They have a salsa bar with various types of salsas to choose from. I went on a Wednesday night which is their get 3 tacos for the price of 2 special. They also have a back room with a DJ and a bar. They played reggae and Afro beats music. Visited Coyo Taco last Monday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find it fairly busy with a bit of a line. That said, the line moved quickly, and I had no complaints about the wait. I decided to grab a margarita, and I was impressed by the thoughtful touch of offering both salt and tahini around the rim--definitely elevated the experience. Though all the outdoor seating was taken, I was able to find a comfortable spot inside with plenty of room. Camarón Taco // The taco was delicious, it had subtle heat from the chipotle aioli (not too spicy, but a slight kick). The shrimp was perfectly cooked and it had a refreshing citrus slaw that added a nice crunch. Margarita // well-balanced with just the right mix of sweet and tangy. It wasn't overly strong, but had the perfect refreshing flavor to pair with my meal. I opted for the tahini rim. The service, atmosphere, and food were all great! Very amazing, food and customer service was top tier I would recommend to anyone traveling in the miami area .

I attempted to stop by to eat some tacos in anticipation of going to the lounge in the back. Guess which one I succeeded in doing? We were going to give up if the line was way out the door for later this evening, which I've seen all too often, but the line had only a few people, and we were ordering in no time. The menus are in a hanging folder on the way to the order counter so that you can figure out what you want by the time you get there. The inside seating is not huge since it consists of 2 long tables and a few smaller individual tables, but there are picnic tables outside that you can share with strangers/possible future friends. I wouldn't be able to stand the picnic tables in the middle of summer/most of the year in Miami, but the cooler times of the year are perfect for them. The salsa and pickle bar is delightful. Not as roomy as the one at the Brickell location but still with that variety of colorful sauces and the innocent looking pickled jalapeños and onions that I will likely feel tomorrow. Still worth the munch. They have small plastic cups with lids attached to them for takeout purposes and nothing else available to hold the pickled vegetables that are twice their size. I asked for a container for the pickles and was offered a tray with paper laid down, the same platform you get for your tacos. Taco Tuesday seems to be an awesome day to be here. I had the cochinitas tacos ($9) which were part of the Taco Tuesday 50% off promotion, and I got 2 house margaritas (one of which I gave to a friend) for $5 each. 2 tacos, very sizable and filled with tender shredded marinated pork and topped with plenty of pickled onions and cilantro (yes please), for $4.50 on a Tuesday, just a little under the price of a similarly priced reasonably good margarita with excess salt on the rim. Pretttttay, prettttttay good if you ask me. I did lick all of the salt on the rim by the way, even though I'm not a huge salt with the margarita person, since the salt wasn't excessively---salty, dense, if you will. And I did take one whole taco with me in a takeout box because it was so hefty and I'd be so excited to eat it tomorrow. If you find the right time to go (not a Friday or Saturday night), which may be a Taco Tuesday, or a Monday or Wednesday for their other promotions, you may be rewarded with fast service and some great deals. I for one will have to return for the back lounge part of the whole reason to come here! read more
