I ordered cable last Saturday, May 7, 2022. The Technician came out and hours later the cable went out in one of the rooms. I called they could not fix it and put in a worked order for Monday. The Technician came out on Monday and did what I call a temporary fix. It went out hours later. I called Cox they could not fix it and said they would seen me a text when it get fix, no text. I called Cox, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, On Thursday they said it was the Contour box and to go to the store and get another one. I did, It did not work I called back on Friday they went through their rebooting. Then decide they would send out a technician on Saturday between the hours of 8 - 10 am. Saturday morning at 7:31 I get a text your appointment today TXT C to confirm I did. another txt put up pets have an adult. Another txt put up pets and an adult present. another tx we confirm your appt. 9:01 am your appt is on hold. text saying Text agent to chat I did. Response was (sorry agent did not get your text). I called Customer Service She said the technician called me 3 times. No call from COX I got (3) calls from a Spillman, Scharm at 8:18 and another call at 8:20 from kitchenplumbing. They are the only one in my area. I needed wired cable. They are slow as snails. I like the service once it gets figured out.

I ordered Internet service from Cox Communications on April 19, 2021. As Cox Communications is the only vendor in our section of my city, I had no other choice for "wired" internet in this area! Satellite Internet is the only other choice. I was given a install date 3 weeks later. First, Cox advertised new service at rate $29.99 a month, yet new service in my community is charged at a rate $59.99 a month! I was providing my own verified compatible equipment to be installed! I had to take a full day off of work to meet the installer for a "range of hours" that the install was to be supposedly completed. When the private contractor hired by Cox showed up at the absolute end time period of my install window, he came with no more than a 12 foot ladder! After examination, he said new cable would need to be run from the utility pole. However, the pole itself was not accessible to him with his ladder because of tree coverage from my neighbor's yard. I asked that Cox send a cherry picker lift truck with a bucket. This should have made pole accessibility possible, Cox denied my request. I requested that my complete order for Cox Internet be cancelled in a call with Cox on that same day! That was May 4th, what has happened since has shown out of touch Cox Communications is, an incompetent maze of unaccountable bureaucracy! Cox never cancelled the work order and in complete opposition to what I was "supposedly" told! Astonishingly, over the next two months Cox Cable turned the connection to dead pole, not to my home! They started billing for a non-existent service! I made 3 phone calls totaling over 5 hours to 5 different departments being assured that yes, I had cancelled my work order and any service with Cox! Here's the kicker over the next two months I continue to get bills and then collection notices from Cox! On July 19th, I spent 2 hours being transferred between 3 departments (collections, customer service, and retention), again being told the service was indeed cancelled! Yet, on Wednesday while I'm in a work meeting. I get a call from Cox Field Collections agent threatening to come to my home and get "Cox Cable's equipment!" Finally, on Wednesday July 21st, I took a day off of work to take care of this matter! I called the field agent and told him about the earlier cancellation, he stated that he had no access to the records! I called Cox and force each call center rep to let me speak to their direct supervisor! Finally after whole hour of calls and being transferred, the Retention Department provided with a confirmation of cancellation by email! How disgraceful this whole process was, demeaning as well!
