Do not use Cox especially for their Home life security system. I am in the process of relocating. Cox has told me the system is being discontinued as soon as one year. worst customer service ever! cox complete should not exist. i was involved in the transition from cox email to yahoo. no one in technical support knew how to sync it with outlook, so they signed me up for cox complete free of charge to take care of it. that department should never be allowed to touch any customer's computer. one idiot agent deleted my saved email files after i warned her this could not happen. she hung up when i asked to see the files she claimed were there. her supervisor could not find them either and did a microsoft repair that deleted more files. i spoke with a real computer company today who said they hear this about cox everyday. my 5-year old grandson would do better in tech support than these incompetent people. now i can pay the real computer people $500-$700 to restore my computer if they are able to do so. read more

Since nobody at Cox will put me through to a supervisor, tell me where I can send photos and keeps shuffling me around or disconnecting me when all I want to do is solve an issue, I will resort to showing you all their handiwork. They sent a kid to fix my cable and I will not go in to all the details of what little he knew. But this is the what he did and how he left me hanging * Cox sends kid who looks straight out of high school to fix my internet * Doesn't know the difference between a router and a modem * Needs to borrow a screwdriver to open cable box because he doesn't have one (but kindly left some pliers behind as seen in the photos) * Pulls hundreds of feet of cable from under the street, can't figure out how to replace it, fills my garbage can with that cable * Figures way to solve problem is to hook a cable to neighbors house, run it to mine, leaving cables exposed, cable box open, tool on ground * Leaves me to find this fiasco PLEASE LOOK AT ALL 8 PHOTOS I am disgusted with Cox customer service and next time I go to Google, it will be to search for "Internet service in my area that treat their customers WAY better than this" I tried so hard to reach out to Cox to discuss this and their customer service would not let me speak to anyone in charge, send someone out to look at what I was describing or tell me where I could send photos. Worse customer service ever! I have had internet with Cox and decided to also add cable. Waited at home for a tech to come and took off work. No one showed. Called and spoke to 3 different people and was told I had no appt even though I had a text confirmation. Then was told the tech did go out but he didn't need to see me in person. Cox is hands down the worst internet provider on the planet. There are I contacted tribes in the Amazon rainforest that have better internet than what Cox provides. In Phoenix, AZ, there are 300 days of sunshine on average every year. also 300 days on average, there is an outage with Cox. Gas station sushi is more reliable than Cox internet. As if the service itself isn't bad enough, the repair teams responsible are somehow worse. Don't even get me started on customer service. There's that one painting of the dogs playing poker, all of them are better at poker than Cox is at customer service. Our business used to use Cox internet and we struggled more with our WiFi than we did with the recession. Want to cancel? Sure! That's the final boss. A monk that has practiced meditation for 65 years and reached nirvana twice would lose their mind trying to cancel with Cox. if you want to ruin your blood pressure, your cholesterol, your hairline, and your relationship with your own spirit, get Cox to streamline all of that. read more

So my 84yr old mother recently passed. She had Cox Cable. I would pay her bill. I paid $92.50 for BASIC cable. SMH. Well she passed on 12/1/22. I closed the account, took the equipment to the Cox store and asked the Cox rep if there was anything else I needed to do. I was told no, I am was good. Well then I then get an email stating I $64.78. I thought this was incorrect and Cox's system just needed to catch up on the equipment drop off. We then I got another email and when I logged into my account I see a DUE IMMEDIATELY notice and a threat to "act now to avoid possible assignment to a collection agency and to protect your credit rating." I called in, explained the issue and asked for the amount to be waived as a customer service gesture as my mother was in the hospital before her passing. I was told no, that I needed to pay the due amount. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and after 20+ minutes I was told by the rep "I cannot find a supervisor" someone will need to call you back. Well you can can guess. No one called me back that day or the next or the next after that. So I paid Cox their $65 dollars and I am voicing my displeasure with Cox and giving them a 1-Star for customer service. Signed Not a Cox Customer for Long. read more

COX I am currently paying $86 for 150mb of high speed internet service, which in reality has been more around 30-50mb if it's working, which working is a 20% success rate at that. I have called and chatted to customer service seeking a resolution to my slow and spotty Internet at least 4 times since February 15th and have been blown off getting a prewritten generic answer "Due to COVID the increase of people working from home has caused our services to not be reliable". Which I get it, COX was not prepared for the large amounts of people using the internet all at once but let me tell you what else they are not prepared to stop doing and that's taking your overpriced monthly payment... right? So I asked polity to all the representatives to please be credited for the months of spotty service and again I get the generic answer. "Our system will automatically refund you for any problems or outages I am unable to refund you" which let me assure you their system will refund you $5 if you're lucky and only take in consideration of 10% of the actual outages. Keep in mind I'm paying almost $100 a month for Internet that is not usable at all... due I get to say. "sorry I'm not paying this month because you did not supply our agreed product I purchased?" NO they will shut you off. Oh can I switch service providers? NO they own the contract for my neighborhood no other service providers are allowed to provide quality services in their area... As we speak I'm sitting on my couch on my cell phone writing this Because guess what there is no Internet again. So what does it take for me to get what I pay for? Spamming every social media outlet telling all my friends maybe protesting? Will see where this goes I will keep you all posted thanks for listening to me vent. Worst customer service on the planet, and don't be fooled, they don't care if you remain a customer. Multiple phone calls to "customer retention" after my bill continued to increase and charges for items that I don't want/need. My call was dropped THREE TIMES and I had to restart every time. At the end of the day, I was told that I was getting a great deal and there was nothing that they could or would do to retain my business. In addition, they tried to tack on another years contract when I transferred, not started, my service after a move. I'll be streaming soon. read more

So tired of cox being the only internet option in my area. Been having internet troubles for MONTHS!!! Upgraded my service back in October and service got worst, support recommended I upgrade my modem and I did. Now my internet gets dropped multiple times a day and I just added on a 500gb package and I can't even use it correctly half the time. If I didn't need internet for work and for school I would cancel it in a heartbeat. The customer service sucks, their system is always down when I need help and if they send a tech out because their system sucks I get charged for it so that's never a good option. If you have the choice of no internet or Cox, go with no internet. I'm so tired of cox and their horrible service. read more

They offer promotions and cheaper deals to gain new customers, all the while overcharging and annually increasing a loyal customers prices. Also I purchased the best internet package offered, and after multiple diagnostics and internet speed test, I found that the internet is running at 1/5th the speed that I am paying for. Not too big of a deal if it weren't for the appalling annual price increase, and then offering AMAZING deals for new customers I would have stayed. You might want to look into loyalty programs, or loyalty pricing, and giving customers the speed they're paying for when it comes to internet. read more

I've been reaching out to Cox all month and every time there's something different that there's an outage going on and that it will be up in running tomorrow assuring me of that because I've been paying and outrageous amount of money and my internet wasn't working I am a work from home worker and they got me fired from my job cause they assured me that the internet was going to be working and didn't and didn't want to help all they wanted to do is make excuses I have all the chats from march first til March 29th I will never be in business with COX EVER AGAIN THEY ARE A TERRIBLE COMPANY AND HAVE SHIT CUSTOMER SERVICE IM DONE BEING LIED TO!! Our cable service has been experiencing recording issues and we have had three service calls scheduled to fix the issue. The first service tech was 2 hrs late and because it was now dark and he wouldn't be able to work on the outside connections we had to re schedule. The next service tech came out late also but was quite nice but his fix left exposed coax on the ground and drooped over our gas meter which was quite an eye sore and he thought we needed a new cable box but didn't have one on his truck. So required another service call which was scheduled for today between 8 and 10 am. Just received a call the tech is running an hour late. I told them cancel as I can't sit around all day waiting for them. I've been a Cox customers for many years pay them over $400 a month and would have given them minus stars if I could. There is no other cable service and I tried the dish which wasn't any better and don't want that hanging off my house. Wish there was another cable company to go to. Guess this is the kind of service that you get when there is no real option. Very sad. read more

Worst customer service. Wanted to transfer service on internet and drop cable. Was scheduled for a Monday when we move in. First had to call 3 times due to 20+ min on hold each time. 2nd felt unwelcome due to dropping cable after having service since 1994. 3rd they turned everything off on Friday when I called to transfer on Monday. 4th they never showed up Monday so called and was told next day. Took day off so wife didn't have to figure what was needed. Now I have to take more time off or have someone else be there. read more
