After placing us on a brief hold, she confirmed that a technician would arrive between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM... on a Sunday! Honestly, we weren't sure it would happen--but right at 8:40 AM a COX truck pulled up in front of our house. The technician was extremely courteous and professional. He fixed the issue quickly and even gave us his personal cell number, saying, "Anytime you have an issue, call me." That level of service is rare these days. WHAT A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. Our call was handed off to multiple people and disconnected twice and we had to call back. Customer service clearly didn't want to talk to us, thus the handoff, and the people we did talk to could not have been more UNSYMPATHETIC!! We will be forced to end our COX service most likely if they don't adjust their pricing soon and get more in line with their competition. In the meantime, we'll look for alternatives and hopefully find a TV and internet service we can better afford soon.

It tripled in two years. I called customer service and talked to some Indian who went by the name of "Mike". He assured me my bill was going to be lowered to $66 a month, which to me is fair. My problem is that unless I called and made some noise they would keep jacking my rate. As soon as I complained they lowered the lowered the rate. Just a scam. How many people are they charging $150 a month because they didn't call and complain?

We tried to reset the system, called the 1-800 number for Direct TV, etc. No help. So, I checked trusty Yelp, of course, and found this nice, local, independent Direct TV provider. They answered promptly and we're able to come by right away since they happened to be working nearby. I knew it was just a user error, some kind of configuration issue, but how wonderful to get the system all functioning properly and so quickly! It sure beat having to call my husband, who got left behind this trip, and have him try for an hour or more to walk us through the issue. The two guys who came were very pleasant as well as prompt; the price was reasonable for a service call. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again in a minute.

Just remember that the price does not include modem rental if you're renting. If you don't rent the modem you will need to purchase one for 100.00. Taxes will probably be 10.00 depending on your city. Also a month in advance payment will be required . So your first month's payment will most likely be ( for the 55.00 plan) 55.00 + 10.00 (tax) + 55.00 + 10.00 (month in advance plus tax) + modem rental 10.00 X 2 for months if you rent. Total first bill :150.00 and that's a conservative estimate. If you're not a current customer doing a lateral change but a new customer there may be an additional activation fee. If you don't rent the modem but purchase it, the first month's bill will be about 130.00 + 100.00 for a one time purchase. The subsequent bills will be 65.00 -70.00 without a modem rental. 75.00-80.00 with a modem rental for the advertised plan of 55.00 a month. Just wanting to help you make an informed decision. The wiring was laid across the alley floor and was driven over by multiple vehicles, including a CenturyLink technician's truck and a garbage truck, within three hours of being laid. (can't imagine how much beating that spaghetti sized wire can take in hot AZ summer) Furthermore, I was initially told by century link after still not have internet that the technician gave me the wrong router, and another one was shipped to me. However, the technical department later confirmed that the original router was indeed the correct one. All of this confusion occurred within a single day. To add to my frustration, I was charged for this unsatisfactory installation. Every time I call to discuss this issue, I was forced to explain the entire situation repeatedly. I truly believe that any positive reviews are bots. They then sent me a bill for the installation charge for WHAT! I'm still having to argue with them on the daily to get that removed. Absolute Nightmare - From Yard Destruction to Billing Deceptions…read more I am beyond finished with Wyyerd. If you value your property or your sanity, stay far away. This company has proven to be nothing more than a repeat of the "Century Link" style billing fiascos and technical incompetence. The "Installation" Disaster: To start, their installation team completely trashed my front yard. I had just spent $500 to have shrubs removed and the yard professionally leveled. Wyyerd came in, trenched through the property to run the cable, and left it a total mess. Their "solution"? They sent someone out to rake some rocks. I had to shell out an additional $200 of my own money just to fix the damage they caused and get my yard back to a level state. Technical Failures: After two months, the service began "freezing" constantly. The most frustrating part? Speed tests show everything is "fine," yet all four adults working in this house experience the exact same connection freeze at the exact same time. It's clearly an infrastructure or equipment issue on their end, but they refuse to acknowledge it. The Bait and Switch: When they finally sent someone out to install a mesh system to "rectify" the freezing, the technician explicitly told me there would be no cost. I checked my very next bill, and what do I see? A price increase for that exact equipment. Zero Customer Retention: When I called to cancel over this unauthorized $5 charge, I didn't get an apology or even a basic attempt to keep my business. The representative was more than happy to just process the cancellation without a single question. That speaks VOLUMES about how little they value their customers. In a market with plenty of options, there is zero reason to put up with a company that destroys your landscaping, fails to provide a stable connection for working professionals, and lies about billing.
