    I purchased my 5th Kia today at Kia of Covina, and once again had a great experience. Anthony Rubil helped me a lot with the pricing--he was extremely professional, patient, and easy to work with. He truly treats customers like friends, not just buyers. The GM Johnny (the handsome gentleman ) was also very helpful and made the whole process smooth. Overall, excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend!

    Recently had to have some repairs done on my 2013 Kia Optima hybrid. There were complications with Kia Americas stand on safety issues on the vehicle but thanks to Adam S. Service manager and The very capable service department My problems were resolved and Adam S. Made sure I was treated fairly and had a point of contact to resolve my issues. Adam S. also help verify what Omar in sales has looked up on the phone for me in regards to possible replacement vehicle. Adam S. Is an outstanding employee and an asset to this dealership. When I picked up the car Eric P. Very diligently picked up from where Adam left off due to his day off to make sure everything went smoothly greatly appreciated. Shy of the phone system being impossible to get through to most people at the dealership, this dealership has always been a reliable source to go to for my needs.     Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. This is my new go-to shop for any issues involving our family vehicles. Thank you, Hye-Tech Auto Repair, for a very positive experience.

It's nice to see you can get quotes at the touch of a button on your phone. This morning, I had time off, so I headed in to get my service done. I did not have an appointment and that did not seem to matter. I arrived first thing in the morning at 8 AM and ask if the service could be done. Harry was an exceptional young man, he took me in with no problems, no questions. He said they could do it this morning. I told him I would have to wait. He had no problem with that either. Prior to bring in the car in this morning, as I said, I used a yelp project and had several people reach out and give me quotes. After looking at all the yelp reviews I decided to give this place a try. I am super happy that I did. This place is a hidden gem, excellence, service, quality, and value for what you receive. There are not very many shops where you could feel comfortable and put your trust in them. As I spent time in the lobby, I was able to see customer service on the phone and customer service entering the facility. Every customer that walked in, seem satisfied and was treated with dignity and respect. I highly recommend this place if you have any automotive questions whatsoever.

Brought my car in, went over some paperwork and was told I'd be contacted once the inspection was complete. Sure enough Matt called me to let me know there were some items found during inspection and which ones needed to be addressed right away. After agreeing to the updated quote they got to work. I came back to the shop prior to being told my car was ready, and I think there may have been a delay in getting parts needed (dropped the car off at 9am, wasn't done until 4pm). Other than that, the quoted price is what I paid, there wasn't any pushing to buy a service that wasn't needed. I will definitely be bringing my car back for the additional work needed.

    I requested a quote through Yelp and my request was sent to multiple auto shops. I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.
