After reading good restaurant reviews, we decided to try the Covered Bridge. My dinner (steak tips, mashed potatoes & vegetable medley) was just Ok. Steak tips were tasty and tasted fine, however, the mashed potatoes and vegetable medley was luke warm at best. My daughter's taco dish looked less than appetizing and presentation was awful. My wife's greek salad was just OK. There were pieces of brown lettuce mixed in that didn't look appetizing. Overall, not our best dining experience and needless to say, we will not return to dine here. The place was very well attended and would have expected a better meal for the price. read more

Great view of the Blair Bridge (did you read "Blair" hearing Mrs Garrett's voice?); nice vibe inside. Our server--can't remember her name, but long brown hair and tattoos--was off-the-charts good. Food was very good as well: big mussels in a tasty sauce with a whole mini-loaf, a very fresh salad, a just-okay veggie burger, and some of the best onion rings--pickled!--that we've ever had. After a long day of hiking the Whites, we were looking for a nice spot with good food, and this place looked promising. The idea of a covered bridge view certainly didn't hurt. We asked for a table with a view when we walked in, and we got a beautiful one, perfect for watching the sunset. The food itself exceeded our expectations, for the most part. My teriyaki steak tips were okay. I think they needed more seasoning, but they were cooked to a nice medium-rare, which was much appreciated. The mashed potatoes were great, and the portion was generous enough. My husband had the real winner though with his order of fish and chips. The fish was so crispy, and the fries done perfectly. I found myself fighting the urge to sneak bite after bite, all dipped in their lovely tartar sauce. It really hit the spot! The place itself is casual but romantic, and the service was great. While it's not the first place we'd rush back to, you can't go wrong here, especially in an area with limited dining options. read more

On our third visit to the Covered Bridge Farm Table I found myself wishing we lived closer. One of the most diverse menus you will find but everything I had was excellent. This visit it was a special fried chicken sandwich on a fresh biscuit. Supple, flaky biscuit, ample, juicy, crispy chicken; great seasoning. I also enjoyed their red onion rings which are crispy and have a great spicy sauce. My family loved their meals as well. Another great meal! Had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. They were fresh and chilled perfectly. Some had the Curry Amok, which had a large amount of chicken and the light sauce was a perfect compliment. I had the special which was fried pork bellies, ham, fried eggs, etc. on a fried bed of vermicelli. I wanted something different and was not disappointed. The Covered Bridge Farm Table restaurant has a beautiful view of the river and covered bridge. It was a beautiful evening so my husband and I were able to set outside. My husband ordered the fried clam basket and he enjoyed it very much. I ordeted the chicken lettuce wrap appetizer as my entree but I was very disappointed. It was gray colored ground up chicken on a bed of plain white rice with wilted lettuce leaves, the chicken had an unusual odor, to me it was inediable. My original plan was to order the delicious charcuterie board I had seen on the online menu when I was checking out the restaurant. My husband and I were also going to share our favorite dessert, carrot cake which was also on the online menu. I could not eat the chicken lettuce wrap so my husband shared his entree with me. When the server came back I just politely said I wasn't going to eat it BUT I would like a slice of carrot cake for dessert. She then said we no longer have carrot cake. read more

Long waits on a Saturday night. The hostess said it would be 45 minutes, but the manager said it would be "at least an hour". It ended up being 70 minutes. Once we got in, we were glad we waited. The Owner(s) have made meticulous improvement during Covid to bolster this already wonderful restaurant into a epic place for locals, families, out of towners and pass thru hikers and skiers. Also great for bigger groups too. The bar is a vibe on its own accord. And... the deck views are wicked with the covered bridge and relaxing water sounds reverberating they when doors are open for summer. We've also caught some great live music here too! Such a great spot and happy we stopped many years ago. Like a fine wine, it's gotten better and ample improvements invested into their business along the way to really make this a hit for us! The owners are wonderfully friendly, they pay ample attention to each patron and dish that is carefully curated in their new kitchen. The employees are a caring group and so happy we don't live closer because my stove would gather cobwebs, I'd lose direction to the grocery store and I'd be 100lbs heavier. People would know me by name, I'd have to buy Xmas gifts and birthday gifts. It'd be weird; know what I'm saying? They'd probably put a plaque on a dedicated chair, probably name a whiskey drink after me, or have a button in their ordering system with my name on it. After being a local for years and years we finally decided to try the place out. Everyone seems to love it so why not. So we get "smash burgers" that weren't "smashed" which they take a patty and make it really flat sorta. Well we just got a regular old burger. Sure it was ok, but here's also the kicker... the prices were more by a dollar or two then the menu. I got the smallest smash and it was $8 and apparently $2 extra for fries but the burger was 10 and 2 for fries. Same for my husband his was on the menu as $11 and was charged $13 for it plus the $2 for fries. I just think if your going to up the price atleast have the new menus to go. Great restaurant in Campton, NH. I suggest trying to get a table at the back of the restaurant, facing the covered bridge for a nice view of the water and outdoors. The food portions are huge! I ordered the Seafood bake and pickled onion rings, which I could have just ordered the seafood bake alone as it was already very filling. The onion rings comes out in a huge basket and I suggest ordering this if you're dining in a group. This was sort of a hit or miss experience. First, I believe the seating areas make a major difference. We chose to eat inside and unfortunately we didn't even get in the inside with the view. Just a blah big open space with no view if you're in that first dining room. Definitely try to get a table with a view, I wish we did. Our appetizer of street corn was delicious! The side salads were good. Our entrees were just so-so. Prime Rib was ok but not the best ever. The scallops with pepper jelly risotto was terrible. The scallops were cooked just fine (I can do that at home, too) but the sugar sweet risotto was disgusting. The key lime pie was awesome and the mai tai was tasty. Not sure it would be worth a trip back but if you have out of towners with you, a view of an NH covered bridge would be worth it alone. Just stay clear of the sugared risotto! read more

Going down hill fast . Went there yesterday with my wife for lunch. Waited for the Hostess (owner) and she arrived and started to escort us to the table. oops we got cut off by what I believe was a bartender and put another couple in front of us rudely. Well low and behold we didn't get the last window table. SMH oh well. Waitress came and poured water umm room temperature water . Asked us if we needed ice, well not realizing the water wasn't cold I turned it down. Ordered the food. Burger was good but overcooked quite a bit. NO FRIES .. No more fries with a burger you must order separately. Now okay I get it make as much as you can but at least tell us somehow or ask if we want fries with it. Just because you sell sides of fries doesn't mean they don't come with it. When did this change. $16 for a burger with no fries or pickle or garnish. Served up in a chintzy plastic little basket. (plastic forks next?) My wife's sandwich tasted good but you can't eat it like a sandwich it disintegrates in your hand, The outer was fried Plantain and that takes the place of bread I guess. Not a sandwich to be eaten without a fork and knife. Water glass was empty and when we were done eating the waitress appears with a carafe of WARM water in a disgusting looking carafe ( didn't appear clean). No ice in it either lol. Gave the waitress my credit card and WTH It took longer to find her to get my card back then it did to eat our entire meal. Literally had to go on a hunt for her. Seriously? Conclusion: this use to be one of our favorite restaurants and now we may not return. read more

We haven't been to the Covered Bridge in a very long time, I'm not sure why but we were blown away by tonight's meal. I loved the New England Baked Seafood, along with the veggies and rice that came with. Unfortunately my family kept wanting to 'taste' it too. Everytime I have had a meal here, it has been very good. Good enough to leave a memory of exactly what I had. The atmosphere is great depending on where you sit. In the area with the big glass windows looking out on the river is very relaxing and made my first time great. The service is also great. Nothing to make a comment on other than we felt welcomed and comfortable. I would say my only complaint is how long the food can take to come out. Since it's farm to table it is really hard to complain about it, but being asked if we would like an appetizer or something else to pay attention to would be nice for the time being. But usually between the time you order and when the food comes out there isn't much, if any visits from your server. Definitely recommend visiting at least once because the food does have thought and time put into it. read more

I'm torn about this one, while the food was very good and the scenery was beautiful, the service was a disappointment. We had to ask for things like, chocolate milk, vinegar, fries, side of aioli, all after we already had our meals, and the waitress forgot ALL of it. The restaurant was empty so No excuse there. Also, it might be just me, but when guests are finished eating the plates should be removed. Waitress came to the take several times including to drop off the bill yet she not once took back anything. Dirty plates on the table is just gross. While I do know the name of the waitress I won't post it here instead I ask management to train the staff better. read more

I've been 3 times in the past 3 months. The food is consistently good, the wait staff always nice and great service. The Peruvian Chicken sandwich with pickled red onion rings is a delicious meal! Stopped by while in the Campton area after a couple of recommendations. We ordered buffalo chicken tenders for an appetizer as well as a lobster roll and Peruvian chicken wrap. We also ordered the Tennessee mule. The service was really slow and it felt like we were bothering the server when asking for simple things. Asked for a pitcher of water but it was dirty and he took a while to replace it. Also, some of the plates were dirty. My Peruvian chicken was bland and did not have any of the usual spices that I am used to. The lobster roll was bland. Nice view but that was the only positive. read more

This was such a great find in New Hampshire! It had a beautiful view of the river running right beneath the covered bridge next door. We both had a cup of clam chowder - delicious! Then we had the prosciutto grilled cheese with sweet potato puffs and the fried scallop basket with fries. All fresh ingredients and so flavorful! What a hidden gem! Stopped here for brunch, on our way back from a weekend of skiing. What a fortunate find! Lovely, cozy atmosphere with an amazing view of the river and covered bridge. Ate here on a Wednesday night, they had a live band, which was nice but REALLY loud. My 2 year old son was with us so thankfully we could sit outside. The outdoor seating has really great views of the river and the bridge. They allow pets which is big perk for me (no pet for me right now but i love when i can bring my dog with me), there were several dogs out there with us (they had little water bowls as well - so kind). The food was really good! Big portions. The one order came out wrong so they took it back before it even made it to the table so that part was good, but the food they brought out correctly was cold? It was dip sandwich, so the au jus was cold as was the sandwich. I had the buffalo mac and cheese, it was really good. We had the cowboy chips, also good. The desserts were good!! Lemon berry cake and chocolate torte. We also got mocktails for drinks because we are big tea fans. I had the hibiscus which was delicious and my mom got mango pineapple which she also really liked. read more
