I rarely leave reviews, but am disappointed, so I decided to share my experience. Facts not feelings. I called before purchasing a ring floodlight camera. Talked to owner. He asked where floodlight would be (second story stucco wall above a shed that can be stood on, so access would be knee level). He asked if there as existing floodlight (no) said he could install it outside an inside electrical outlet and attach to electric straight through the wall. (All his suggestion) He said that install would be $120.00. I went and bought the floodlight. I called to make appointment and asked the woman (who picked up) to confirm with the owner that it could be installed for $120.00. She called me back 20 min later and said, yes. I made appointment. She said arrival window would be between 10am and 1pm. The technician called and arrived shortly before 1pm. Technician started mentioning additional costs for this and that (the owner had already suggested going through wall to inside outlet and gave $120.00 price for that, again, it was owners idea) He opened the ring box and poked around, flipping through the install booklet, as if he hadn't seen one before. (It better be returnable now) The technician finally said it would cost $250.00 to install it. I told him that's not what the company owner told me on the phone. I had him call his boss on his own phone, he was talking to him for some time. He hung up and said, "Yes, $250.00. I'm sorry it's $250.00. Said we thought it was a ring doorbell." Then why the suggestion of going through a stucco wall to an inside outlet?? I told him that is our food money we are squeezing for immediate security needs. We were told $120.00. The tech stood his ground. I told him then 'I' am sorry, if they can't install for the price the owner suggested, as install and cost himself, then it won't be installed by this company. read more

We had electric problems which caused our internet to go down. Which is a major problem when you work from home. I called Coverall on a Thursday night and they had a technician , Moe, here the next morning. He found the problem and had it fixed within an hour. Plus Scott drove over the switch that was needed. It is pouring rain outside due to the Storm of the Century when I noticed a puddle underneath the electrical transformer in the warehouse of our office. I looked up and could not find the leak in the roof I imagined. Nope, the water was dripping from our electrical panel. Ugh! I freaked out and called Coverall Electric which is in the industrial center of Valencia. Mike was over in just literally 5 min. WOW!! He opened up the panel and saw that a small amount of water was dripping through one of the electrical pipes connected to the top of the panel box. That specific pipe was traced to the roof where it feeds the roof top AC unit. The water was draining out of the bottom of it and it really was not that much and he said it was not touching or running down anything that might be immediately dangerous. The fix is to check the pipe at the roof penetration and seal it. So, glad we called Coverall Electric. The price was right for such a fast and professional company! P.S., I see them in the neighborhood all the time as they also maintain the lights for the HOA. If you need an honest (and fast) electrical person, I highly recommend them. read more

Mike truly wants to solve the problem; not just get paid for time served. He even followed up with me multiple times days after to make sure things were ok. After buying our new Tesla, Coverall was one of three recommended installers for our charging station. I had all three come out for estimates, but went with Coverall because of the personal attention and competitive price given by company owner Mike. His electricians came out when promised and did a quick and efficient job. Mike also patiently walked me through the city permit process as well as help navigate the DWP rebate program for installing a new Time Of Use meter. His prices were much lower than one, a tad higher than the other and in my view very fair. I'll be calling them again when I need more electrical work for sure. read more

Mike and David were great. They arrived at the expected time and did outstanding work. When they were troubleshooting and could it find the solution, they came back to our home on a subsequent day and worked until they found the problem and solved it. Not only did they do a great job, provided excellent service, but did so with something I as a former New Yorker I have learned to value highly; a friendly attitude. What made me pick Mike above other estimates I had was that he was honest with providing information prior to the installs, didnt just say yes to every question I had but provided a realistic solution from the start. There was even a change in the installation mid-work the owner for my rental ordered a change in where the cable should be drawn which was met with a 'no problem' and no additional cost. I am the VP of my HOA and needed to know what options we had to retro fit in our garage electric charging. My first port of call was our local Tesla maintenance depot which is walking distance from our building so seemed like a sensible place to start the research. After a 10 minute talk with the receptionist who was most helpful, he gave me the email of the department that deals with helping apartment buildings and condo's install charging points and they referred me to Coverall Electric. Mike came over observed the situation and in laymen terms explained the process from his end and what he will need from us so now I understand our options more clearly. Coverall was one of the electricians I contacted about getting an EV car charging outlet installed in my garage. Mike D was the rep from the company that visited my house and advised me on a path forward. As the estimate process continued, I found myself in a bit of a complicated situation due to electrical service limitations to my home. As a result, Mike was always there via phone or email to discuss possible paths forward. As a customer, I admit that I was probably a bit needy, but Mike was always extremely patient with me along the way and great in providing clear explanations/logic around one path forward vs. another. Ultimately, as a result of several bids, I did not end up going with Coverall, however, I think it's worth reviewing their customer service and noting my belief that if their workmanship is anywhere near as good as their customer service, the end product would have been solid. Should I need any additional electrical work in the future I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Coverall. read more

I have used coverall electric since 2009 multiple times since they were called Valencia electric. I have always been happy with their work. Ian was the electrician who wired a dedicated circuit to my 150 gallon salt water reef aquarium. Over the years, he's done an excellent job installing my EV charger, assorted low and high voltage lighting, as well as maintenance electrical issues I've needed. There must be a major shortage of electricians however, because in the past year, it has been IMPOSSIBLE to get any electrician to respond including Coverall and Ian. It's not just this company. I've contacted several highly rated electricians and no one bothers to come for an estimate. If I do get an estimate, I can't get them to return once I've decided to do the job. He was trying to avoid a service call. He was trying to save me money. I did have to have a service call. I had Coverall move my Tesla Model S charger from a previous residence. Everything worked fine and I had no complaints. However, upon completing my solar installation and getting final inspection the inspector asked for the Telsa EV charger permits and I told them I wasn't aware that any were pulled. The inspector said that permits were required for EV chargers and, in addition, the installation that was done was not up to code. The solar company contacted Coverall and requested they pull a permit and bring the installation up to code so I could pass my solar inspection. They balked at the request since I apparently told them not to pull a permit, I guess that's an optional thing? I'm surprised they are a Tesla recommended EV installer completing work without permits. Fair enough though, maybe I did say 'no thanks I'd like an illegal installation please'. We asked them if they could pull a permit and also bring it up to code and even said we'd pay more, because, well I said I didn't want a permit right? You'd think they'd at least bring the work up to code even for the additional payment, but sadly no. In the end the solar company pulled the permit and redid the installation up to code and I passed final inspection. Long story short, If you use them for your EV installation make sure they pull the permit for it. read more
