We wholeheartedly recommend NEV Electrical! When our 45 year old electrical panel began to fail we were intermittently losing power to different circuits throughout the house. An internet search revealed that our old Zinsco panel was obsolete and that the aged breakers were a fire risk. A trusted friend (general contractor) highly recommended NEV. Norland was fantastic! He handled all the permits & inspections with Santa Clarita Building & Safety, expeditiously installed an upgraded panel and helped arrange the necessary stucco repair. His bid was clear, fair and easy to understand. When he said he'd come at a certain time, he was there on the dot. (We are happy to put away our lanterns and extension cords.) read more

I requested a quote for some recessed lighting and Norland was very fast in replying. He showed up on time and gave us the best quote. (we asked a couple of other electricians) He also showed up on time on installation day. They were the 2 of them and both were friendly and professional. It took them 2 days to install about 25 recessed lightings, a fan and a regular light. We are very happy with their service and would definitely recommend them to our family and friends. read more

This review is long overdue, Norland has been to our residence several times now and every time he has done work for us we have been highly impressed with his expertise and high quality work. Norland is always quick to diagnose the problem and get things fixed. He is also very fair with his pricing! He was here today and I was blown away by how quickly he was able to figure out and fix a wiring issue with a ceiling fan we attempted to put up ourselves. He also installed another ceiling fan for us so quickly and they both work great and look perfect!! Thank you Norland for all of your incredible work! read more

If you need any electrical work done whether at your house or your place of business, look no further. Norland is my new go-to licensed electrician. NEV Electric's prices are extremely competitive. Not only that, Norland does an extremely great job. He's very upfront and honest. He recently installed a GFI electrical outlet underneath my toilet bowl (I'm installing a bidet), and he did a real clean install. And he did it in record time. After the install, he cleaned up and vacuumed the area, and left the area nice and clean. No need to look any further. Norland is very professional. You will be 100% happy and satisfied with his work. Thanks, Norland. read more

I called around 5pm and Norland picked up. I told him my outdoor lighting system was broken and asked if he could repair it ASAP. Norland asked me to send some photos so he could try to assess the scope of work before driving out. I send photos and he replied that the fix was simple and he instructed me how by text. Norland saved me $$$ - another electrician told me the whole system was broken and quoted $400 in parts and $300 in labor to replace it! I thanked Norland for his HONESTY. I will definitely be calling NEV Electric in the future for my electrical needs. Lots of electricians have licenses, but Norland is a salt of the earth honest man to do business with! read more

Norland and his team did excellent work for us. He was very responsive, and reasonable. Finished on time and did a great job providing advice through the process. Cleaned up after he was done, and did minimal, clean cuts in the wall/ceiling to get the job done which made it easier for us to patch up. Strongly recommend. read more

Norland is an excellent electrician. He recently installed a sauna heater in my garage and did an outstanding job. Prior to hiring NEV Electric I got several quotes from other electricians in the area and NEV was the most reasonable and professional reply I received. I highly recommend him, he's my electrician from here on out. I hope this review helps those who are looking for a dependable and trustworthy electrician. Norland was great from start to finish. We had outdoor landscape uplighting done throughout both of our yards, which turned out beautifully. We met with several companies, as well as had experience with electricians who wouldn't even respond to our inquiries! Pricewise Norland was fair, and although he wasnt the "cheapest", he provided us with quality workmanship and materials, which goes a long way. He was always quick to respond to our messages, and if there was ever a problem, he was there right away. So glad we didn't end up going with someone who'd be no where to be seen if we needed them. Great customer service goes a long way. Thanks Norland for A+++ service! read more

First I want to to be known that I am a true verifiable customer. We started a home remodel about 2 months ago. The house built in 1980 and has remained untouched. We started with cabinets, countertops and all that then we looked up above and saw the same old panel lighting that flickers all day long. I looked on Yelp and contacted a few vendors. One replied with, Send me some pictures of what you want. What??? I thought whole estimate process was that YOU COME TO ME and I explain and show you what I want. Must be a Millennial. Second guy came over, I showed him, sent me his estimate and I thought ok, maybe my son doesn't need to go to college anyways. Now Norland from NEV. Showed him everything all over again from the second guy, he emailed me his estimate and my jaw dropped. Norland quoted me well beyond 50% below from what the second guy quoted. I called him to verify he knew what I wanted and he said "Yes. Everything you showed me" YOU ARE HIRED!!!! Norland came, over a period of a week only because we kept changing plans on him, my fault. He kept me constantly updated and informed of his entire process and even consulted with me before he made the smallest of changes and wanted my approval. When he was done, I was looking at an entire new first floor. New lighting everywhere. New switches, new SMART switches. I have him coming back next month to start phase 2 of the remodeling. You can Yelp, Google or Facebook all the others you want. You will not meet a more better, honest, professional and reliable electrician than Norland. read more

Great guy Great service. Scheduled a pm call that morning. He had a cancellation and called me to see if he could come earlier. He waited at my place till I got home. Found and fixed my problem in under an hour. I highly recommend him. read more

Norland just left our house a bit ago after installing three ceiling fans, and he did an amazing job! So glad I came across NEV electric, Norland was so helpful! He responded right away and was able to accommodate me the very next day in the morning. I had an unusual situation where we used an air fryer that shorty circuited after resetting the circuit breaker we had low voltage in our living room and weren't able to use our TV or any of our devices. Norland was able to discover the issue within minutes, showed up on time, was very respectful of the space, and charged a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend him for any electrical issues and wouldn't hesitate to call him again if I have any electrical issues in the future. I am very appreciative of his quality service. Thanks Norland! read more

Amazing service and the owner is a very well rounded hard worker and a good business owner in general. NEV electric are a very efficient, kind, and considerate electrical business. Norland (owner) came out to do a small job for me. I needed to retrofit 4 existing GU-24 4-pin socket can lights with LED 120vac retrofit can lights. I'm an Electrical Engineer myself, I'm very handy, and typically would do my own minor electrical work, but this task required an experienced professional in the trade who was responsive, on time, and gets it done right. Highly recommend. Thank you Norland. Will do business with you again. read more

I didn't know any local electricians but saw all the positive reviews so I called on Monday July 11 because my pool pump wasn't getting power and I suspected a bad breaker. Norland asked for pictures of the box and quoted me a price. He said he could fix it the next morning. Next day at 8 AM sharp he arrived and proceeded to replace the breaker at the agreed upon price. My wife and I live in Stevenson Ranch (Santa Clarita Valley) and needed a Tesla Wall Connector installed inside our garage. Norland showed up a few minutes earlier than the 8am scheduled time, was very friendly and approachable, completed the entire job in about 3 hours, and did the cleanest, most professional installation we could have hoped for. And on top of that (probably because he's an owner/operator) his price was far more competitive than other bids! Before he left, I asked him for a quote on some other electrical work we need done and he gave me a very fair price on the spot. We'll definitely hire Norland again and will be referring him to any of our friends in the market for an EV. read more
