We signed a paper contract when they dropped off the unit, although I don't really remember signing a contract. But then 3.5 years later, they sent us a digital contract and asked us to sign it. But because I don't remember the paper contract, I refused to sign the digital contract. Even though we were paying every month on time for the last four years, they refused to give us one more month with the unit because we refused to sign the contract. Additionally, after returning the unit, my credit card was charged two months in a row, and I had to call the company to get a refund on my credit card. I would recommend the business because the delivery and pickup of the unit was simple. But everything else involved with renting this unit, I don't recommend.

My only gripe is that they get you in with a free month then raise rates within a few months And then keep raising them every few months so for long-term renters the monthly cost is always going up. It irks me that as a long-term renter, I'm paying so much more as a valued customer than someone coming off the street renting for the first time. There should be a long term renter discount.

In the course of 2 years, company decided to raise my agreed rental rate 3 times for up to 50% more than initially agreed. After confronting the manager, I was told this is out of their hands since corporate decides when and how much the rental increases occur. Instead of moving my business elsewhere, manager offered a smaller unit at a much lesser rate, taking into account that "rate will not increase for at least a year and even if it does, increase will be marginal". Trusting this company I decided to go ahead with the downgrade. To my surprise, less than 4 months later I receive ANOTHER RATE INCREASE NOTICE!! This time the increase would be for more than 50% starting next month. This increase like all the others happen for NO JUSTIFIABLE reason. As expressed by many others, this company has a long history of PREDATORY BILLING PRACTICES. They purposely wait for you to be settled with your storage to increase your rates, not by a marginal amount but increases of over 50% of your agreed rental agreement. I appealed this with their superiors in writing but they failed to even respond. I am now in the process of starting to take legal action against this company and needless to say I recommend everyone to stay away from this corporation completely!

They tell you to move to a bigger unit to lower rent then 4 months later it is increased. The elevators work occasionally. The temperature control doesn't work. It's very dim in the building in certain areas. There is never carts available and trash is always lying around. I wouldn't waste my time or money. They make the front lobby look nice but the rest of the area is nasty and outdated. It's not a safe area. Pick a newer storage place. There are so many nearby.

In between transitions of a move following my rental that I was moving into falling through a few days short of our move-in date, I had little to no choice but to get a storage unit for basically every item that I owned. Easy storage was running a promotion offering "one month free rent" on their units. I rented two units from them in a period of three days, and neither time was I informed that they go by calendar date not my anniversary date as far as when the "free period" on the unit starts and stops. I will take some responsibility as far as my involvement because the first time I went in I was in a rush to get to work and just asked to sign the paperwork and please be informed of anything imperative about the agreement. I was impressed that I was in and out within five minutes, But now I see why. So for a unit I have had less than two months this facility is trying to charge me $800 due to late fees and storage facility fees. I also signed up for a duplicate unit a few days later and the girl who signed me up the second time told me all of the rental agreements are the same and I would be getting the same one months free as I did on my previous unit. All in all I got less than a month free from both of the units combined. Being a mother expecting her third child in less than a month and will not be receiving any type of maternity leave pay, spending that kind of money just to get my own things back is impossible, and seems a little outrageous and unattainable for damn near anyone. I have called and talked to customer service as well as supervisors for this business all of which were extremely unaccommodating, and essentially blamed me for not taking the time to read the entire rental agreement. They do not offer any sort of payment plans, and also informed me if I don't pay the $800 within the next day they will be tacking on $200 more to the current amount for additional late fees. I had also rented a unit at extra space in Arnold same size unit, which is costing me $60 a month, and they have been wonderful. This place even though it may appear to be great, is an absolute rip off with hands-down the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. So beware of any promotional offers they are running as they clearly are a gimmick to get you in the door and charge insane prices thereafter. The customer service is just as piss poor as the pricing on the units themselves. I am grossly disappointed and extremely regretful for ever extending my business to this company at the Arnold location. I would absolutely recommend any other storage facility before giving your business to these people. What a joke.
