This is a new Vietnamese tofu pudding place on Bellaire and Eldridge. Their tofu pudding is light and not too sweet. They use fresh ingredients and doesn't contain preservatives. I highly recommend this for your desserts! You can add fruits to it as well. This is a pick up restaurant not much of a hang out spot. Service was nice and friendly. I absolutely INHALED this tofu pudding, sooooo goooood! The pinnacle of "not too sweet". The texture is so silky smooth. I honestly wouldn't mess with any extra toppings, the tofu pudding is amazing as is. No ginger sauce to drizzle on top, but everything is already incorporated into the cup. It got me craving more, and it honestly sent me on a slippery slope. I'd be broke if I wanted to eat as much of this as I wanted, so it inspired me to try making it at home for cheaper. But even then $3 per cup ain't bad for the convenience. Speaking of convenience, you don't have to drive all the way out here to snag these bad boys. I've seen the exact same CoVang cups sold at H-Mart, Hong Kong Market, and Viet Hoa for the same price. read more

Bought a package of 4, didn't have the silky texture like I usually bought. I spoke to the owner that I ate the other two that did not taste right and I opened up the other 2 while she was on the phone, . She blamed it on that I left it out long time and my refrigerator was not cold enough, asked me to text her the pictures of the tofu, the expiring date on the bottom of the cup along with temperature of my fridge to proof it to her. She told me that she will give me only 2. Very poor customer service, I did not feel that the store treating the situation fairly. American store would not do this extensive, you just need to give them proof and gladly refund it give you another one without doing all of this. Cheaply handling customer service especially she is the owner of the store and she if she thinks that every single cup of her tofu can never go wrong, think again. read more

They sell one item: silken, sweetened tofu cups. And they do it very well. Each cup is individually packaged and chilled. The texture is silky smooth and the taste is not too sweet. There's a hint of coconut I think? This is definitely a nostalgic treat and reminds me of my childhood. There's one table inside that fits maybe 6-8 people. A quick and delicious treat! read more

I was impressed by: - great product photos in their marketing, fun design and art on the cups - flavor and texture of the tofu pudding was excellent. I loved it! Opportunities for improvement: - I felt misled by the depictions of the tofu pudding topped with fresh fruits. The only offerings you could buy at the store were syrups and jellies to put on top. The toppings were just OK. $1 add-on for a tiny splash of fruit jelly. - the store interior was very lacking and unfinished. Obviously the business caters primarily to take-out customers who don't care what the in-store experience is... but don't come here expecting an "ice cream store" vibe. More like a "are you open right now? am I in the right place?" vibe. Been wanting to try this place out for a while now and am so happy to have gotten the chance to stop by this weekend! I got two cups of tofu pudding. The texture reminds me of flan - soft, silky, jiggly. The dessert is light and refreshing. I can taste the soybean and hints of ginger. Toppings like boba are available but tbh the pudding tastes delightful on its own! There's a small circular table to sit at, but customers generally just come in and out. Easily the best silken tofu pudding you can buy anywhere in the city! To echo what others have said, it's sweet without being too sweet and it's incredibly smooth and silky. This is one of those desserts that you don't just eat, but instead you inhale it. My wife always has to buy multiples because she loves it so much. read more

I stopped by after grabbing bánh mì nearby, excited to try this spot since I love tofu pudding. I ate plenty of tofufa 豆腐花 in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Given that it's a Vietnamese shopping center, I was hoping for a pandan tofu pudding. When I walked in, I saw that it was $3 per cup, with toppings for an additional $0.50 or $1. Toppings were limited. The tofu pudding is only available cold and served in a small yellow cup (maybe 4 oz or less). I ordered one with matcha crystal boba for $4. The tofu was silky and mildly sweet, and the crystal boba was a nice touch. However, for the portion size, $4 felt a bit steep. I appreciate that they offer both bulk and cash discounts, but I do wish they had larger size options--especially a family-size container. A more sustainable approach would be great for those who want to enjoy more while reducing waste. They only sell in 1 size. This is my first time, everyone here very nice and i love tofu Here's an 85-word English review of tofu: I recently tried this tofu, and it turned out to be surprisingly delicious. The texture was firm enough to hold its shape while still soft on the inside, which made it perfect for stir-fries and soups. It absorbed seasoning really well, especially soy sauce and garlic. Thank you, Yelp, for leading me to this place! Light, silky, and not too sweet - the perfect Asian dessert! Each cup is just the right size to enjoy and not feel over indulgent. As others have mentioned, don't expect to sit down and eat here. I don't think I even saw any tables. They do one thing - sell tofu pudding. And like ECK and their egg tarts, Covang excels at tofu pudding. Each cup comes with a plastic seal, which is a nice touch. There's even an expiration date at the bottom. So much better than the stuff at Star Snow that goes bad 24 hours later and is 2x more expensive. And no need for extra sauce or toppings imo - the pudding itself has a sweetness to it that's just right. Given the expiration looks to be about 2 weeks, I will be back to stock up on these babies. Service is as you would expect. Very transactional, which is fine with me. Just want some tofu pudding! Pro tip: Buy 12 and the price goes from $3 to $2.50/cup. On top of that you also get a coupon that you can use immediately. My coupon was 10% so price went down to $2.25/cup. What a deal! read more

There should be some kind of FDA warning label on their tofu cause it's too damn addictive to be legal. Airy, tasty, and light (not overly sweet), it's a perfect dessert for those who want something sweet but don't want to feel too full and gross afterwards. My husband and I have a very sweet memory of a tofu pudding breakfast in Hanoi, Vietnamese for our honeymoon. The moment we saw a business strictly dedicated to tofu pudding, we knew we had to check it out. 1: the space is more like a production facility- the food is packaged for grab and go. This place is not close to me at all, they only sell one thing, and I still make it a point to come almost every week. I'm so freakin addicted to these little Tofu pots. They're the perfect sweetness to satisfy my dessert craving without being too heavy. I love that they're already portioned so you can just grab and go. Pro tip: Buying more than 6 with cash gives you a discount. Also, buying in bulk adds additional discount. I usually buy 15-20 at a time. 50 or more gives the best discount but I don't think I can (or should) eat that many before they go bad. read more

Cute shop that only sells 1 main thing LOL tofu pudding!! I love tofu pudding and was so excited to try. Theres seating inside but its a good item to grab and go also. I wasn't expecting much but was delighted by the cold temperature and silky smoothness. It's lighter, bouncier and sweeter than my favorite grocery version (Plum brand). Toppings are a dollar more but it's sweet enough plain as it's flavored with sugar cane, ginger and pandan. All the old Vietnamese ladies came in a rush with money in hand to grab it for themselves. Located on Bellaire near Dairy Ashford, Covang Tofu Pudding sells tofu pudding for $3 a cup. If you buy more than 12, you can get it for a discount of $2.40-$2.50 each. Toppings are 50 cents for jelly and $1 for boba. There's not much seating, so most people take it to go. If you are a fan of tofu and jello, this is a must try. I suggest taking it home and pairing it with fruit but it's sweet enough to eat as is. read more

The bakers were busy prepping more goodies in the back while my cousin and I browsed all the Filipino baked goods we really miss from back home in the Philippines. They even had suman, sapin-sapin, biko, and other kakanin, which was nice to see. I specifically looked for the chicken empanada, and my cousin wanted to try the ube white chocolate chip cookie. We also saw different kinds of siopao and planned to come back later to buy some before heading back to San Antonio. We tried the ube white chocolate chip cookie first, but honestly we weren't totally satisfied. It tasted more like a regular white chocolate chip cookie with purple coloring and didn't really have much ube flavor. I also tried the chicken empanada. My cousin didn't like it because it was sweeter than expected--we were both expecting it to be savory. There seemed to be caramelized sugar in the outside of the pastry, which probably added to the sweetness. I still like it, though it was definitely sweeter than what I'm used to. Red Ribbon's chicken empanada is still my favorite. Later that day before leaving Houston, we came back for the siopao we planned to take home. We finally decided to just buy a couple pieces for ourselves, heat them up in the bakery, and try them fresh. When we saw the price for a four-pack, we were honestly disappointed. It felt expensive for the size. The siopao wasn't huge, and while I like the dough, there wasn't much chicken filling inside. For the portion, taste, and quality, it felt overpriced. Overall, it's probably not worth making another trip back for us. We did enjoy the cassava ube suman, and I like the chicken empanada, but not enough to drive all the way to Houston just for those. If I live nearby, I might come back to try other baked goods, but based on this visit, I'm not sure the rest would impress my palate. I still give them credit for cleanliness and customer service, although we did notice fruit flies on one of the shelves and reported it. The staff was friendly, and the bakery itself was welcoming. At the end of the day, since they're a bakery, the expectation is great-tasting, quality, mouthwatering Filipino breads, pastries ", and kakanin. While some items were enjoyable, overall it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us.

From the moment I walked in, the place felt welcoming, spotless, and well organized. Everything was clean, fresh, and thoughtfully arranged, which made the experience even better.
