A few days later a couple guys came out, ripped off the warping shingles and replace them. I will give it a couple days to settle in and post new pictures of the repair. For now I will up their rating to 3 stars, still a little perturbed that it took a negative review to get a response, but if the repair is good, I will be fair and update it again. Our salesperson, Filomena, was fantastic with listening to our specific requirements as well as explaining every detailed step of the process to us. She was there at the beginning, mid-way, and completion of the install to be sure we were totally satisfied. Beyond that, she quickly returned our calls and/or texts when we had concerns during the process. Our installers, Kyle and Seth, were so diligent and careful during the removal of the existing patio and sliding doors as well as with the installation of the new Pella products. Our existing trim was removed carefully, our surrounding wallpaper was undamaged, and when we requested some special trim work at the bottom of the doors, Kyle's skill and workmanship became very obvious. Regarding the painting that was necessary around the new doors, Seth was meticulously neat and particular both on the exterior as well as the interior. These three individuals clearly have expertise in their domains and deserve acknowledgement and are a credit to Pella.

Pella is called and they send a tech they does a couple of adjustments and tells us , he doesn't have everything he needs, weeks go by we do not hear from Pella. Call them and they send someone else out. The guy spends an hour adjusting the door, says poor install. The door is now easier to close and I currently do not see light!! Fingers crossed that after 9 plus months from order to adjustments. Fingers crossed We won't have any more issues. This company does not communicate well. I do like my door, just unhappy with install & customer service.

I called again recently to get a new opener. I admit that I could have been better prepared with the door size etc but in a couple of minutes I was able to supply the info. I found that the woman who answered the phone was rude. I felt like I was interrupting her day so I politely said that I would get back to her and hung up. I called a competitor that one of my friends used and the woman answering the phone was very polite and answered all of my questions. She gave me a good price for major mfg plus install. I felt bad about the situation because I originally dealt with one of the owners. He was a senior gentleman who was great, so I planned to keep Parma as my door people, but if I can't get through the first call without feeling uncomfortable, I didn't think that I wanted to do business with Parma. I hope that the owner reads this review and corrects the attitude of his help. It's not easy to be in business in this area and a customer's first impression is important. I wish them well.

We had contacted 4 other plasterers in the area but every single one either A) didn't return the call for a request for a quote, B) never showed up to give a quote, C) gave a quote that was too high, or D) never returned the call to schedule the job after coming and giving a quote! My husband and I couldn't believe that nobody wanted to do some work, given the covid-related economic environment at the time. But Joe and his guys acted like you would hope and expect good tradesmen to act: professional, prompt, fair, and talented in their craft! Would HIGHLY recommend!!
