Their menu consists largely of Mac & Cheese, wraps, paninis and frozen custard. Being a Wisconsinite it really resonates with me. I get the classic "original" mac and cheese every time. It's always consistently good and it's still warm after my 20 minute drive home. They use a less common noodle that is quite large and the portion is generous too. The other menu item I'm always to is the shake of the week. They always have a different one and they're always good. Oh, and I have to mention their salads. Not for me, but my mother likes them as much a salad she gets anywhere else. Another thing I appreciate is the fact they have an app. An app for a local place isn't common in my experience. This makes it easy to order in advance so you can skip the line, skip the phone call and better still earn rewards. Finally, I have to commend a few of the guys who work here. Two gentlemen in particular who both are always pleasant and personable, which alone is commendable, but they've also both been there a few years. They both seem to be managers, but I'm not sure, though I wanted to recognize them. Both are older than the general staff and both are there various weekdays.

I think you're better off getting food to go, as the seating area is very small, but they've done a good job of making it welcoming. The tables aren't on top of each other, there's a TV so you don't feel trapped in a basement, and hey, you can always walk through the curtain and get a drink at the bar!

The fries were crispy and lightly salted. I was able to sample 2 of their IPA beers to decide which one I wanted. The Punch IPA was hoppy with strong citrus notes. She did ask if we wanted dessert, which was great, though we declined. We got the check and a box, then we paid and left. I called less than 5 minutes later because I had forgotten my box. The host that answered the phone was not interested in helping with this issue, so I told her "you can see the booth from the host stand", and she alerted me she didn't see the box on the table, but did not offer to follow up or check with the server. It's my fault I left my box, but the host on the phone just didn't seem bothered about helping us. Atmosphere was great. Service, food, and beer all could have been better, so this wouldn't be my first choice for a return trip. As a side note, we've been to the other location a few times and had good experiences.
