Ordered subs today for the office. Everyone's bread was hard, definitely not freshly baked. Disappointing:(

Tucked away behind (and attached to) The Steerage, this is a little sandwich place they run during…read morethe day. The staff was friendly and helpful - we were kinda lost when we walked into the back room of a restaurant we'd been to before, and they had a self-ordering station set up. The sandwiches themselves were great! Simple, but piled with high quality shaved meat on a tasty sesame sandwich bun (unexpected but it works). I think you're better off getting food to go, as the seating area is very small, but they've done a good job of making it welcoming. The tables aren't on top of each other, there's a TV so you don't feel trapped in a basement, and hey, you can always walk through the curtain and get a drink at the bar!

You walk through an alley and it feels kind of like a speakeasy sub spot. You walk into the "basement" and are pleasantly surprised that this is a cute little dining area, not your typical sub spot. You order at the screen in front and subs are brought to your table when they are ready. (Freaky fast! Better than jimmy johns!). We got the Irish baby (corned beef - served cold, which was a delightful surprise. It was not heavy or too fatty like corned beef can be sometimes, it was really just right) and the turkey baby. We liked them both with some giardinara and the oils form the giardinara added. They were a good size, didn't skimp on the meat (I couldn't even finish mine, but my husband literally licked his plate clean). Service was very friendly and helpful. We walked through the restaurant it is connected to and that also looks like a cool spot, we will definitely be back for both places!

Took my bestie here for her birthday lunch in November. It was cute little cafe. Great decor,…read more looks like a ship. Food was very flavourful. Bestie got the turkey sandwich, I got the fish & chips. We both had drinks. They were also well made. Only downside - not handicapped accessible unless there's a hidden elevator. We didn't see one. Definitely still be back.

We were shown a quiet booth immediately by a nice woman and given cold water and menus. We ordered cocktails - both of which were refreshing. Mine was supposed to be neat, but came with a ton of ice, but it was a small inconvenience. Note - they do have a massive gin selection you can access via /QR code if that's your jam. I ordered the German Kasespatzle, their main vegetarian offering, $20.00 - Hand Made Spaetzle, Caramelized Onion, Roasted Carrot, and Mushrooms with Mozzarella and Gruyere Cheese. We got Bernie's Bacon on the side for $4 for my mom to eat with her half. She ordered the crab cake special, which we also shared, which was as the server promised, no filler. Overall, this was a nice meal and tasty. The Spaetzle was rich and luxurious, very much like my grandma used to make. The roasted carrot was a new addition for me, but not a bad one. The crab cakes were very good, but basically came with a bunch of shredded plain lettuce and nothing else. I'm glad we visited and I would come again if I was in town, but this is definitely a place that favors a meat eater.
