My wife and I needed a quick lunch in Menomonee Falls before a movie and I suggested Firehouse Subs because she's never been there and I had only been there once right after they opened. I got a medium New York Steamer (corned beef and pastrami) without mustard and added a side of fries, which seems to be a new option for them. I thought the fries were really good. Thicker like steak fries, but battered and crispy unlike normal steak fries. I'd rather have these than fries from most other chain restaurants. The sandwich tasted great with the Italian dressing really complementing the corned beef and pastrami. While eating I was disappointed in the price to portion size ratio, but thinking back on it, I don't know if $10 for a medium New York Steamer is that much more than what I'd pay for a similar size sandwich from a different sub shop and there aren't too many places that have both corned beef and pastrami, let alone one of them as an option. Given everything, I'd get the New York Steamer again. read more

Firehouse is a great sandwich shop. I've tried many and keep going through the menu and each one has been excellent so far. The service is always super friendly, fast and they get the orders right every time, which is impressive considering the kids are always customizing their sandwiches. They also love the soda machine and watching the cooking station that is always on too. This is a go-to spot for an easy family meal out of the house, and prefect location for grabbing some cheap custard and cookies at Costco across the street for dessert. read more

My wife went In on Sunday 8/27 around 2. Place was empty, girl and guy were working. She got me the Cajun chix cause the girl said it was her fav. Ewwwww The most disgusting sub I have ever had. I she made it. The bread was so soggy and half of it wasn't even toasted but the most disgusting thing was the cup of Cajun mayo slopped all over the chix that wasn't hot, no cheese but the mayo was soap. I finally had the chance to try out Firehouse Subs for the first time last week, and it was a good experience. I went around 2 pm on a Tuesday and it was pretty dead but the restaurant was clean and I loved the fun firehouse/dalmatian decor, it's really unique and fun. I tried their roast beef sub, untoasted, and it was decent, although this is probably a place where you want to get your sub toasted. Their bread reminds me a lot of Subway bread, it's very light and airy. If I went back, I would probably get something else because the roast beef was too finely shredded for my taste, and it wasn't too flavorful. They have a lot of great options though and you get a pickle with your sub which is another cool thing that they do! read more

My first ever visit to a Firehouse Subs was at the Menomonee Falls location. I thought the restaurant was spacious and nicely decorated in typical firefighter decor as was expected. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor/quality of the sandwich. I really liked that the sandwich was served warm without having to ask. The bread had good taste/texture and plenty of meat (roast beef). I also liked whatever mayonnaise that they use. This is of course a sandwich shop so there isn't a whole lot to say. I found Firehouse to be much better than Subway and Jimmy John's. The sandwich was comparable to Quizno's. Firehouse offers chips but not french fries. I hope one day they consider adding fries as a side rather than just chips. All in all I was pretty impressed and will return. There's the added benefit that a portion of proceeds no matter how small is going to benefit public safety. read more

I have been here a few times and their sandwiches offer a difference from the other sandwich spots in the Falls. The steamer is one of my favorites and that is my go to choice. Firehouse Subs is a nicely run chain restaurant and very clean throughout the store from what I can see. I ordered again through the Google app as I was on the go on this beautiful day. Everything was prepared as ordered, however the ends of the sandwich could have used even meat throughout the sandwich but it was still good and I will order this again. I hear their chili is really good and they also offer mac and cheese as a side, maybe next time I will try it. read more

I had a coupon for a free medium sub, I've never eaten here before. The firehouse steak and cheese sandwich was just ok but the service was on point. The team says hello and gives a open welcome to everyone that comes in. I thought the chili was pretty good but the cheddar cheese was not melted it only laid on top. The restaurant could have been a little cleaner too. If I go back I'll try a different sandwich, I'm willing to dine inside again to see if I selected the wrong sandwich for my taste. read more

First of all I have been to firehouse subs before and let me start by saying that I thought the sub sandwich is outstanding. Their signature Loaded Potato soup however was so awful that I could not eat it. So what do you do if you purchase something that is so awful that you can't eat it? You approach the employee who sold it to you and let them know. That is what I attempted to do and I can't believe what I heard. Nothing, I mean not a word. This young cashier who obviously has not been trained said not one single word and looked at me like a deer in the headlights. I'm not kidding. On my way out cleaning up my table and throwing away my trash again I approached the cashier to perhaps have a conversation in regards to why I left my soup with her at the register, again not one single word. Extraordinary, I have never ever seen anything like it. No rebuttal, no question, no explanation, apology, just a blank stare and not a single word. Holy cow. I guess had I not ordered the soup I would never have understood how poorly trained this individual was. Clearly just in order taker and nothing more. Either that or nothing ever has gone wrong with this establishment that facilitated further conversation other than what would you like to eat... Not one to complain all that much, I do find it very disturbing at the lack of indifference. But with this new generation, this must be how they do things. read more

On 4/7 at 5:50pm I went to get dinner for me and my daughter. I love their brownies so i instantly asked if I could get two. The cashier asked the guy who was making the brownies if we had some and he said "if we do they are frozen" and walked away. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. The staff is kind and you receive your food quickly. My favorite is the Engineer. I like you can order a small, medium, or large sub. I wish the seating had more spacing but hat would be my only negative. I use their rewards app and when I went in for my birthday when I left the lady at the counter even said goodbye using my name. No food on the subs it was so small we had to go out down the street and buy some more food . the owner e mail me and told me he was sending us a cup for two free subs that was 8 days ago . I would stay away from this place as they do not keep there word . it cost me over $21 dollars for 2 subs and drinks with chips and we had to still go somewere and buy more food. They are small. I went to Firehouse Subs for the first time yesterday and I must say it was a pleasant experience worth repeating. First, when I entered they greeted me well and said some respondent code (it was a unique and cute greeting). Second, the gentleman who took my order was patient with me and my questions about the subs and how I wanted my sub (I'm kind of a picky eater). Third, the place is super clean...now I didn't use the restroom but if the rest of the restaurant is any indicator of the restrooms then they are spotless too. Now there is a little wait for your sub but it's understandable...it's being made fresh. My sub was hot and delicious! Oh and one more thing...Their brownies are friggen amazing!!! read more

I've been 2-3 times now, really trying to give this Firehouse a second chance. I'm a huge fan from my college days-- Firehouse was always my "treat yourself" meal! 1st time: Observed manager verbally laying into a young teen worker while I was waiting for my food. From what I could hear, the young man had clocked in early and was "taking up more minutes than the manager had scheduled" and the manager was visibly upset. I completely understand needing to explain this to employees, but please be professional and do it in private. I ended up taking my sandwich to go, rather than eating in the restaurant. 2nd time: Ordered a Turkey, Bacon, Ranch with no onions and no mayo. Somewhere in translation, the ranch got lost too..so my sandwich was turkey, cheese, bacon and lettuce. Still not world-ending, until I had to pull off most of the bacon because it was all fatty ends and not edible. I must have missed a string, because I ended up choking on the bacon fat. I had taken my sandwich to go, so nothing could really be done. Overall, I think it just needs more time--but it will be a long time before I think about returning. read more

My family and I went to fire house subs. We have never been there before and my wife told the person getting our order. No reply just staring at us at that point. Awkward. The whole experience was very poor. He could have said well welcome to firehouse subs let me know when you are ready. It was not busy there at all. We had our food and it was marginal at best very smoky meats which are just ok. If I had to compare it to another sub company it would be like Quiznos.
