    Steak and Brat sub
    John Z.

Visited Milwaukee for work and my boss suggested cousins. Suggested it was better than Jersey mikes which I'm a huge fan of. Well let me tell ya, cousins gave Jersey Mike's a run for their money. I ordered a new sandwich which had Philly steak and sliced brat. It was DELICIOUS! The steak and brat together was a combination i never heard of. Both tasted amazing with pickles, tomatoes, lettuce and onions. Then they had a mustard that had a Smokeyness to it. When I make the trip out to Milwaukee again, definitely going to stop by and grab a sub!

My favorite place for subs for the past 45 years. I wish they would wipe off the tables more frequently.

Worked for Cousins when I was in high school (1984-1988). Still my favorite sandwich! The Club Sub with extra mayo, extra onions! Yum!

The people that run this place are super friendly and have a regular clientele. The deli counter has smoked meats, cold cuts and cheeses, etc. and in the aisles they have Polish beer, liquor, candy (some even contains alcohol), various condiments, pickled veggies, jams, canned herring, and plenty more. They even have a small refrigerator/ frozen section with cold single bottle beers, more smoked meats, perogies, hunter stew, and Czarnnina. There's a small self serve bakery section and when we recently stopped in on a Sunday for hot ham and rolls a gentlemen ahead of me got the last few remaining rolls. We got lucky however, minutes later an oven bell rang and fresh rolls were out of the oven and into a paper bag for us as we checked out. During the week they will gladly make you a tasty sandwich with generous portions. I had the roast beef and the Mrs had a ham sandwich. This place is a hidden gem! Prices are reasonable, and the service is good, check it out!

It's not the best food I've ever had, but where else can you go to get a matzah ball like this? Food: The food is good, but I wouldn't call it spectacular. I usually order the chicken soup with matzah balls. For me, the soup itself has always been a bit blah, more like a very thin chicken broth. The matzah ball is really the star of the show. I also noticed what other people were eating, and the corned beef sandwich and potato pancakes looked very good. Most people cleaned their plates, which is always a good sign. Service: Service has always been very good. Quick and efficient is the name of the game here. I got a spot at the counter, seated between two other people. Menus, ordering, and the check all happened without much waiting. The servers are friendly, but always on the move. There's not much idle chatter. Atmosphere: The place feels worn, but clean. The large windows bring in lots of natural light. There is booth, table, and counter seating. They fit a lot of people into the space, but it doesn't feel overcrowded. With that many people, the noise level can get loud. Pro tip: The parking lot is small and shared with several other businesses. It's usually best to find a spot on the street.
