Went here yesterday (6/9) ordered ahead of time, went there after the pickup time and my order wasn't even started mind you it was dead at the time. I got my sub and fries and went along with my day until I took a bite and the sub tased like i was eating a salt block. I was insanely hungry so I ate the sub anyways and ended up getting food poisoning. Never stepping foot on another cousins subs property. read more

After a Lawrence University baseball game was delayed for 2 hours, with 45 starving players and coaches, I called to see if they might be able to accommodate a large order with a very short turnaround. Boy, did they ever! In 30 minutes I had two huge bags of subs and the team loved them. It wasn't just the food, though. The three employees were pleasant, cheerful, and wished us good luck. I stopped in for a sub on 10/21/20 around 1pm the man working the counter was a taller dark haired guy with glasses, he was extremely pleasant, he took our order we sat down and he brought out food to the table, half way through the meal he stopped to check how everything was! Ok reviewing the best darn sub shop in the world should be easy. However, I think this post would be littered with all the great things I have to say about this place. If your from Wisconsin you should know that this is a company that started in Milwaukee. In my opinion they serve the best tuna sub on earth. Everything is fantastic every time. Pretty disappointed today. Normally i love Cousins but there wasn't anything i could like about my first time at this location. At first, we were the only 2 I there and others showed up after we ordered. We each got a 7.5" sub and fries. We waited as others ordered and began getting their food. Once they called our # we saw they didn't have our food I bags to go so they had to start transferring it. They also forgot the other order of fries and had to make them. As we waited even longer, again more customers were ordering as being served their food and leaving. In all, 2 subs to go took about 15 minutes when we ordered at the empty restaurant. Getting home and eating also wasn't great. My fries were the first cooked and were mostly ruined. They were mostly soggy, cold and chewy-all things fries shouldn't be. My sub had leaked badly through their paper and most of the meat was hanging out of the sub since they packed a lot of lettuce into the crease before the meat. Very unenjoyable! read more

Disappointing. Cousins has always been my favorite sub for the past 30 years. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it, but I eat cousins on average once a week, usually the Northland Ave. location, however we were close to this location today so we stopped. I wish we would have just driven the extra couple of miles to our usual location. Upon entering, the remodel looks great until you get to the counter to order. The area directly behind the register had employee drinks, a disheveled pile of paper and receipts, so much so I asked if the store was still under remodel, to which the employee gave a duh, no kind of answer. Then on to the sub when we got home...ripped bread, Parmesan Asiago sans the Parmesan Asiago, sparsely sprinkled lettuce, minimal spinach on a veggie sub? (hint that is suppose to be what actually fills a veggie sub...same price as a meat sub)...add a little veggie! And the worst part, NO oregano...which is what helps to make a cousins sub a cousins sub. One look at the pictures will tell you why I took the time to write a review about a sub...This visit was "sub"standard. read more

First I'd like to say that I like cousins Subs a lot. And I like the fact that they have fries too. I've never had a "bad" sub from them and the bread is really good too. They have a pulled pork topped with cole slaw sometimes and it's awesome. BUT, one time we ate inside the restaurant (we usually take it to-go) and there was a bunch of high school girls in there...AND a mouse running around the hallway back by the bathrooms and soda machine. The girls started screaming and I just about gave up eating my lunch. Loud, and although it wasn't like any of the employees actually brought their pet mouse to work, it was pretty weird. We no longer eat inside the restaurant. Kinda grossed me out! read more
