Not a huge hotel or anything but out bedroom was very nice and the bathroom was especially awesome. Staff there is very kind and welcoming and if you're planning on going to 6 flags this hotel is literally across of it and within walking distance so you don't have to struggle to find parking! Overall enjoyed my stay here Tip: if you do plan on going to 6 flags the Marriott will give you a pretty good discount on the ticket ($45 per head). read more

Bad neighborhood, poor service, cops called one night due to a rowdy crowd in the parking lot. We tried to get breakfast but gave up after waiting 30 minutes with only 2 people in front of us. Had to give one star. No choice to give zero which is accurate. I have stayed here for many years. Happy every time. In April 2020 I had the misfortune to stay here one last time. I was in town for my Mothers funeral. Sad occasion to begin with but the staff made it miserable. I know it is during Covid so I understand the closure of the restaurant and pool. Fine. Good rate to make up for that. One problem was not once did they clean the room. The garbage was also not emptied ever. When the restaurant is closed you have to eat in your room so garbage is essential. 2nd day I decided to empty it myself but the garbage in common area was overflowing. Let front desk know and nothing done. Disgusting! Actually had to take it to my Mom's and put in her garbage can. Same set of dirty sheets down the hall were outside a room the entire stay. Not good germ control people! Finally the 3rd morning I let them know I was moving down the street to a different hotel that had NO problem having housekeeping. When I checked out I asked for an adjusted bill but the manager said no. She also said I shouldn't be complaining because I was given written notice of no housekeeping. I told her I was not and I never would have checked in if I had. Who would?? I called corporate and they said I must deal with the local manager. My 2nd attempts to deal with her went nowhere. In short do NOT stay here even after Covid. I know it is convenient to Discovery Kingdom but right down the street are several great choices in American Canyon. Being born and raised and escaped Vallejo you don't want to have your family there. read more

We stayed at this property for three nights. It is not far from Napa, Yountville and the other places we wanted to visit during our trip. We did not mind the short drive for a better hotel rate. Upon arrival, a bit of problem, as we were given a room with a faulty AC. We called the front desk and two technicians were sent up promptly. However, it took them a little while to confirm what we had already discovered and reported: the AC was not cooling the room. We were given another room, but it had a connecting door to another room, so we kindly asked to get another room. And so they did give us another room with a working AC and no connecting doors. For the inconvenience with the AC, the manager gave us a voucher to buy breakfast at the bar the next day. We got to see three different rooms and they all looked the same. The bed is placed against the bathroom wall, which is a very good idea to avoid unwanted noises coming from other rooms. However, there is very little space between the right side of the bed and the room side wall. It was not a problem for us, but for someone a bit larger sleeping on that side of the bed, it can be challenging to get in/out of the bed. The rooms seemed overall clean, but they should do a better job vacuuming the carpet and mopping the bathroom floors - there were old crumbs (or whatever that was) on the carpet when we first got to the room, and old shoe footprints in the bathroom. Also, some toiletries were not replenished and we had to leave a note asking for it. There is not a full-service breakfast area, it takes place at the hotel bar and it consists in an assortment of pre-arranged dishes, with Starbucks coffee drinks. It was decent and they had from light to more meal-like options. Everybody of the staff with whom we interacted at this hotel was kind and friendly, even over the phone, prior to arrival, and they did very well in resolving the problem with our room. read more

I had to ask another customer to order a beer for me because the girl would not look at me or ask me if I wanted anything. I waited 20 minutes for an order of fries. Then I reminded them. If I could trade more stars for a better experience...but this will be my final review of this chain, lingering in the same brand position as Motel 6 and Holiday Inn. Why do I say that? *room smelled, a vague mixture of damp room & detergent. *unremarkable bed with low quality sheets *TV with no movie service *no hot water for my evening shower (though there was, mercifully, hot water in the morning) All of these except the hot water problem have been common elements at my last two experiences with this chain in two separate locations, making a coin flip for a third unnecessary, the luck definitely not running over. read more

I have never stayed at this establishment, but I meet here weekly with some friends in the restaurant/bar/lobby. We've been meeting here for over 10 years. We usually order drinks and food while knitting/crocheting and catching up. Last Thursday(8/8/19) I got there before the rest of my group and while sitting in the lobby area I was approached by Vallejo PD and was asked if I was a guest and why was I there. Someone in that establishment had called the police on me! I was the only sole black female in the lobby. I had not talked to anyone, nor was I being loud or making a mess; I was simply sitting on a sofa browsing my phone until the rest of my group arrived. I was finally able to get the bartender to confirm who I was and why I was there. We were both dumfounded and embarrased. This is no way to treat your guest. Please train your new staff before they interact with the public. read more

So we had a blast at Six Flags until it wasn't a blast because right before we left, at closing time,I went on Batman & I'm pretty sure that's where I lost our car keys. The car was stuck and so were we. As I looked for the keys in the closed park the wife booked a room across the street at the Courtyard. Dru, the gal at the front desk was amazing! She empathized with our plight and was super helpful. While I waited for a friend to drive to pick me and the kids up so I could go home, sleep, and try to find a spare set we sat at the bar/cafe and RC, bartender, cook, and busser all in one was fun to talk with and made sure we were taken care of until my ride showed up. The wife was going to meet a locksmith at the car if I couldn't find a spare. Long story short, I was able to find a spare to drive out to Vallejo and get the car. Dru & RC made what was a stressful experience into a pleasant one with the way they treated us. We live close enough (an hour+) to drive to the park and go home on the same day but from now on we plan on staying at the Courtyard on future visits just to visit with the amazing staff and show appreciation by giving them our business. read more

While booking my stay at Courtyard Marriott Vallejo I received exceptional customer service. The lady that I spoke with was very pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and very accommodating. As I was on the line with her, I explained that I needed to book a room for two nights for a very important event in Napa. While my friends were frantically calling other places to secure their room I had no problems in booking my stay. She maintained a courteous and cheery disposition and went above and beyond her duty in making my experience pleasant and stress free. Pretty great place until we went downstairs to leave and saw this. It seemed like about 4 cars were hit in one night. Management did not seem too surprised or able to offer much help to us other than a vacuum and some tape. Our stay here was ok but not great. The rooms were clean but our room faced the pool where they played music all night long. I called the front desk and they assured me twice that they would turn the pool speaker off and never did. Might seem petty but something for those light sleepers out there. I had a weird feeling about this hotel . The hotel sits alone off the highway near a convenience store across the street from a 6 flags park . When we pulled up there was a group of 18 something looking kids loitering around a car ,drinking ,smoking ,and cursing . The front door there were sketchy looking people , obliviously drunk and also smoking . As I was checking in I told the front desk about the riff raff outside , she said she tried calling police but her phones wouldn't Dial out , nor would her cell phone . She was working alone with only one young security attendant . I found that odd due to the size of the hotel . No security cameras . I let her use my phone to call 911 . The police showed up with a dog , people scattered . Because it was late and we were exhausted , we decided to overlook the conditions and stay . As we were walking down the hall on the 2nd floor ,I canno help but to hear a party in the room next to mine , ( this was around 12:30pm .) I call front desk to ask if they would assist us by checking the floor and aski them to quiet down. Meanwhile , our room is one up from street level , and we hear a group of Gang looking people arguing . I called the front desk again and they said they called police, things seemed to quiet down ( still no police) I fell asleep . At 2:18 am I was awakened by a screaming woman in hall , than all hell broke loose . There was a group fighting in hall next to our room. No security no police . I called 911 they said they got the call and would send a officer when there was one available . It would get quiet for moment than fighting would start . This time a older sounding woman starts banging on the door demanding the door to be open . Than right under my window they are throwing stones at the window demanding whoever was in the room to come out , several of the people had dark clothes and hoods on . at this point Im waiting for Gun shots . Its now 258am still no police , people are arguing outside , using obscene profane language . I hear security banging on the door and no one will open , theres a woman in the hall screaming to open the door shes auntie , she is joined by a half dozen kids ,they were kicking the door , The room was full of kids drinking . At this point Im afraid to go out to leave , theres no assurance its safe , I feel like a hostage . At 3:25 swarms of police finally come ,the hall next to my room has a dozen police pulling out kids under 18 . 3:33 They cleared out the room . big ice cooler about six 17 -18 year olds were escorted out . Than another fiasco at 3:45 with 6 Police cars still in front of hotel the fighting starts again, this time the police using their fog horns . I will NEVER stay at a Marriott courtyard again . The reviews are far from what we experianced . The amenities are subpar , the pool is barren , no atmosphere , the food is Horrible , the beds are old . Stay away from his hotel , its more like a local party hotel . I am Frustrated and extremely dissapointed . read more

We arrived here at 11:00 PM. There was 4 people in our group, and we were given a handicap room on the first floor. As soon as we got into the room, we were hit with a strong cigarette odor; Strong, as if someone had smoked a pack that day and then left. We brought this up to the staff, and because they were full, according to them, there wasn't much they could do, besides "spray it". One of our group went to use the bathroom, and there was barely any water pressure in the toilet. We checked the shower, and what do you know, no water came out for about 30 seconds, and then proceeded to trickle out. After bringing this up to the staff, they essentially shrugged their shoulders and recommended they could spray the room. We informed them we wouldn't be staying, as we had a mixed gender group and without a properly working toilet, it's just not a good situation. They did not suggest offering another Marriott or any compensation or really any help in terms of finding another place to stay. I was very disappointed with the lack of any consideration and care from the staff. I expect great quality from any Marriott I go, and I usually am pleased by the people who work there. But this was a disappointing and frustrating experience, as we now have to find other lodging on our own. Would not recommend after this experience to anyone else. read more

Made a reservation for my Halloween birthday celebration here, since I'll be attending Fright Fest across the street! My stay was absolutely amazing, and I didn't want to leave. Haha Bed was so comfy, I slept like a baby. Showers were wonderful, hot and steamy! And my view of the park was beautiful. Everything about this hotel was perfect. And free parking for hotel guests. There is a security guard present, but just let him know you are a guest, I always showed my room card just in case. And FREE WIFI YES. To get to the park, just a little walk across the street, but other than that, a comfy stay with wifi, amusement park across the street and free parking?? I'll for sure be back. This Marriott Courtyard has the best location if you are planning to visit the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom park. It is just directly across the park, quite near the entrance. We actually parked at the Six Flags parking on the first day and hotel parking the second day, and the hotel parking was actually nearer to the entrance!! It is a quick 5-10 minute walk to the gates from the hotel lobby. I used my Marriott points to book the rooms this time (so yes, I am a regular Marriott fan). We took a double queen room. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom looks updated. Free wifi in the hotel. Parking was inclusive too! Costs $17/day if you are not a hotel guest. We asked for early check-in and late check-out and the request was accepted without any issue. Not guaranteed but do ask! Late check-out at 2pm was great for us. The hotel has a pool and a hot-tub although I did not try it. I see others having fun in them, and they are open till 10pm I think. For families, if you need a microwave, the room does not have one but there is a communal one available near the breakfast area. On the downside, breakfast was not included with the room but it looked like a decent spread for $10+ per head. There is a Carl's Jr around the corner in the next block though. read more

Warning as of 5/15/11 Last night we parked in the Hotel Lot and someone threw a huge rock thru our car window. The Hotel Security saw nothing .( Unfortunatly threre are no cameras ). So when you go to this othererwise beautiful hotel, please leave nothing in your car and try to park the car near the entrance where are more people around. (Or at lease where you can keep an eye on your car.) Remember you will not be compensed for any loss. Otherwise you should have a good experience. read more

Pretty decent hotel. Staying here with my family for the night during our trip to sf (only a 30 mile drive from downtown sf) and RIGHT across the street from 6 Flags. Like I can literally look out my window and see loop-dee-loops etc. The lobby is great, very spacious with lots of seating area and staff were very helpful. They do have a fitness center which is nice but I haven't done much exploring yet. They do have complimentary breakfast for guests so we'll see how that goes tomorrow morning. The rooms are standard. Long bed is very large and spacious with a sofa bed to the side. One thing is that the sheets for the sofa bed didn't seem neatly folded so makes me question the cleanliness? But whatever, I've seen worse (ahem, for example like staying at a motel for coachella, gives me chills just thinking about that dump). But anyway this place is MUCH x100 better than that lol. And I don't doubt the sheets are clean but they should at least fold them nicer/iron or press them. Tv has a great selection of channels, can't go wrong with a little Real Housewives on bravo. If I could give less than one start I would, worst costumer service they don't care about anything that happens to you, your property or your stay. Had it booked for two nights and had to cancel the second. On the first night in the parking lot two broken windows and stolen luggage, a total nightmare. This hotel is not SAFE!!!!!! You would think management would care, nope not even a bit, no calls no investigation, no compensations. I talked to the front desk agent and they told the me the manager will call me to have a conversation about what happened and discuss further action, 4 days later no calls, nothing, and $3,000 dollars loss in valuables and car repairs. Thanks you Marriot!!!. If you're thinking about staying here it's not safe, don't stay at this hotel, they have no cameras outside and security is a joke, don't let this happen to you or your family. read more

Spent a day at Six Flags. This was the post theme park crash site. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and appeared to be updated. Didn't like the odd location of the TV. It was sort of hidden from view behind a wardrobe. Even after twisting it and pulling it out a bit, it wasn't completely visible from one side of the bed. No complaints otherwise. Six Flags is an easy walk, which will save you $15 on parking. There are a lot of restaurants within a 5 minute drive. Front desk gave us a listing with directions. All were chains, but still. Breakfast was pretty good. The Continental portion is free, but you have to pay if you want hot items and the omelet bar. I think it was around $12 per person. Not bad for the food offerings and convenience. read more

We arrived around 3:30am, had to get buzzed in so I could check in at the front desk, and warned by a security guard about break-ins occurring in the parking lot. I didn't know I was checking into a prison facility. After checking in, the guard ESCORTED me to my car in his van and then had me get in my car and follow him to a parking spot closer to the front entrance so that our car would be safe, as would-be vandals like to target cars that are parked far from the entrance and in areas where light doesn't shine as much. Since the guard was Filipino, I think he was really genuine in looking out for us, as he was playing the "Oh, you're Filipino? Me too!" card. However, after this experience, I'll never come back to this area again. Also, there were chips and gummy bears in the fold out bed in our couch and the tv's suck. I think me rating this hotel at 2 stars is being WAAAAYYY too generous. read more

The rooms are decent sized. Nothing beyond amazing about them, but perfect for a one night stay. The bed is super comfortable, which is one of the reasons I gave them 4 stars. They have a huge lobby area which includes an area for their continental breakfast. Our stay didn't include this, but they said we can still take advantage of it for $10.99 per person. I came here because I had an interview for school. The reason I chose this hotel is because they offer a free shuttle to and from the school. They are also one of the only stops in the Vallejo area if you are taking the shuttle from the airport. I loved that the manager asked us about our stay and that the staff extended our check out by an hour since the interview ran late. Free parking Magic kingdom located literally right across the street. Overall, highly recommend if you are going to magic mountain or need a place to stay because there is something going on in the area. read more

I really liked our room, and the hotel itself was nice, what I didn't like was being called at 1030 pm about 20 mins after we went to sleep! They called to say they forgot to charge us for the security deposit. My husband tells the guy he will take care of it in the morning first thing etc. my husband goes there at 7am and the guy says we did charge you. My husband expressed how annoying it was for the late call etc. later on we get another call!!!! They didn't charge us for that Saturday, got it fixed whatever. Get home and we see a charge for $159, 18 and 29 dollars, they told us the day we left they couldn't print receipts and they told us what we were charged for, 159 for the stay and 18 dollars for the drinks and snacks we got, so...... what is that 29 dollar charge??? We came here for a night with our kids to spend a day at six flags. You can't really beat the location. We walked to the park from our hotel... its right across the street. We saw a line of cars waiting to pull into the park's lot so I felt like we made the right decision with the hotel right away. The beds were super comfy and rooms were pretty standard for a courtyard. Clean, up to date... the kids used the pool the morning before we checked out and it was nothing luxurious but enough to burn their energy before the drive home. I have to say - I was SO impressed with the service. I've stayed in bed and breakfast resorts in Napa with ridiculous nightly rates and we did not feel the friendliness there that we did at this Marriott. The bistro employees are kind and the food was great and inexpensive. The kids breakfast especially impressed me (eggs scramble included a generous serving of fruit, bacon, potatoes and milk). Check in and check out was smooth and smiley. We were even able to check in around 11am which I did not expect. There was one shady character smoking outside that kind of creeped me out as he was staring at the kids as we were walking back from six flags, but... no harm. Basically - if you come to six flags. This hotel was a pretty decent place to spend the night. It has the Bistro downstairs which makes buying some breakfast or any other meal a breeze. While it's not the reason we stayed there, the Six Flags across the street makes this a great place to stay with the kids. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in the area. read more

When we planned for a weekend tour of Napa Valley wineries, we decided to book a room at this Marriott Courtyard. It is close to the highway and may be the closest hotel to 6 Flags Park which many feel is a real strong point. We checked in at 8:30 on a Saturday night a bit tired and very hungry and not knowing the area asked the person who checked us in at the front desk for dinner suggestions. The lady who was very nice informed us that since it was approaching 9PM the only restaurant in the area that would be open would be Applebees and suggested that we eat in their own dining room which said would still be open for a while. Since were weren't at all familiar with the area we took the menus that she gave to us and headed up to our room. The room was nice. It was clean I must say although the layout was a little weird. The old TV set that was on the dresser wasn't facing the bed at all although you could turn it a bit. The stations were fuzzy although the premium channels where clear but we couldn't get the remote to work. When we headed down to the restaurant it was about 9 and we discovered it was really just some tables in a bar area and folks were watching the football game. The food wasn't very good, the burger and fries and the Fish & Chips were just fried food that set us back $30 bucks. The bed in our room was uncomfortably hard and right above us was the smoke detector which emitted green beacons of lights every couple of seconds which was very distracting. The next morning we asked the front desk about a good breakfast place and she suggested their own. In the daylight we could see a shopping center across the highway with what looked to be a lot of activity. When we asked about what was there she suggested the Big Bear Cafe, When we explored the shopping area we discovered that there were lots of restaurant's Chevy's, a Cha Am and a few more that, according to their hours, were indeed open on a Saturday night. So besides the mattress which was too hard, the old TV that was fuzzy, the smoke detector lights flashing all night long, and the folks at the front desk which sold us on their crummy restaurant instead of giving us solid nearby alternatives, I'd have to say that this is a Marriott that I will not be returning to again. read more

I've stayed here 2 nights of 3 scheduled and I feel let down by my overall experience here. I'll start with the positive. When I arrived for check in after working a 12 hour shift, I got to my room an heard a baby, so I promptly went downstairs to the front desk and said something about it. The woman at the front desk was great and moved me immediately. That morning I woke up and that is when I noticed somethings that weren't quite right. The sink has a slow (very slow) drain. Okay I can work with that. I picked up one of the glasses for a sip of water and saw that it hadn't been cleaned but was positioned like it had been. No biggie, I bring my own cup so I just drank from it. I told the front desk and they said they would let maintenance and house keeping know. The glass never got cleaned and the sink is still slow. Not cool. The other problem I have a bigger issue with is the bistro downstairs doesn't have crap for a selection and there are no restaurants near by. When I have asked for something on the menu, both days I have been given bad news with a smile. They don't have it. They also don't have iced tea. This bistro is worthless. I wouldn't stay here if I didn't have to. If I'm here on business again, I will find my own hotel. read more

(You hearing me upper management? ;) Ok on with MY review: PROS: Beautiful Hotel. Easy parking. Wheeled racks for luggage. Bar, food, snacks, drinks, meals and even elegant complimentary ice water and juice in lobby when you walk in. Guest services went above and beyond my expectations. The guest service person who checked us in, Aimet, was very professional, cheerful and friendly. She gave us an early check-in hold on our room when I called ahead to let them know we would be early. She set the positive tone for our visit. The lobby is modern and high quality to the eyes. Our room was immaculate with comfortable beds and perfectly soft pillows. DURING OUR STAY: Refrigerator wasn't working, guy was there in 2 minutes (Ken is awesome!) and fixed it, then reception called to make sure it was fixed 1 minute later. No, seriously, one minute later. (Aimet again!) Needed more towels, guy was there there in 2 minutes with HOT towels.Yes, 2 minutes with HOT towels. Pool was heated, well stocked with towels and peaceful, and it has its own restrooms. Every time we walked out to lobby, the reception gave us a friendly acknowledgement. CONS: Hot water takes 2-3 minutes to really get to your room, then to adjust to cooler takes again 2-3 minutes. Pool needs a bottom cleaner machine. A/C needs a "stay on all night" option. Kept starting then stopping. (little loud) Walk to Six Flags park could be easier with a cross walk directly from hotel! FINAL THOUGHTS: $250 a night is a bit pricey for a 2-bed room, BUT it is the closest to Six Flags, its summer season and its service and facilities are totally worth it in the end. Myself and two of my classmates stayed here for callback testing at the graduate school nearby. On the first night of our stay my car and my classmates car got broken into and had a lot of valuable stuff stolen. Yes there are signs outside saying that the hotel is not responsible for whatever goes on in their parking lot, and yes it was silly to leave our stuff in the car but we were very tired from a long drive and living out of our cars as grad students for the past year. We took our most valuable things inside upon arrival. After discovering the damage the next day the hotel told us we could keep the rest of the contents of our cars in the hotel office for safekeeping, which we did. We called the police, who did not show up ever, 2 additional cars were broken into on this occasion as well. We were told by hotel staff that the camera that surveys the parking lot was blocked by a tree and the security guard must not have been around at the time our cars were broken into. So they would not show us the surveillance footage. We were then offered a comped night at the hotel, which we were told would be negotiated at the end of our stay. We asked repeatedly on our next 3 nights where a safe place to park our empty windowless cars would be and were told there was nowhere safe. Upon leaving we went into the office to collect the rest of our belongings that they had stowed for us, and our stuff had been moved to an entirely separate area where we were not allowed to go. So someone carried the rest of our belongings out from the maids closet and met us at our cars and rushed us out in the rain. We checked out, without being comped anything. It was not until I got to my next location that I realized they had intentionally kept a bag of my groceries which included a unopened bottle of kettle one vodka and several unused food items. I have used this hotel multiple times in the past for various school events and recommended it for my family, classmates, and friends to stay for several occasions when I lived in the area, I will no longer be doing so. It was made known to staff that I was unhappy about how the situation was being handled and no one even made an effort to put our minds at ease. Our room smelled heavily of smoke. We spoke to the front desk and they promised to send maintenance but no one ever came for assistance. While we were waiting to speak to the front desk the attendant was rolling her eyes as other guests were calling with issues. We were excited they had a Starbucks available however the bistro attendants were extremely slow and inattentive. After standing at the counter for 13 min I was told they could not make a mocha. We were on a 10 day road trip and this was our only poor experience. read more

I'm not a huge Marriott fan to begin with... but sometimes nothing else is available :) Lets start with the positives: Location/Property: +Directly across the street from Marine World. Would make a great choice if you live far away and wanted to turn Marine World into an overnight trip. +Walking distance to a few fast food places. +20 minutes or so from Napa Valley. +Property itself was clean but dated. And the things I didn't like: -Despite requesting a non-smoking room, our room smelled of smoke. -The bed is a cheap matress. I still have a sore back a few days later. -Perhaps it is just Vallejo, but there seems to be a "thug like-baggy pants" element that frequents this place. Bottom Line: Cheap place to stay... I would be extra carefull not to leave anything valuable in my car and it might be a tough night for someone who has smoke allergies or issues with cheap matresses. read more

I love mobile check in. Our room was ready when we arrived (slightly before standard check-in time). We were greeted and given our room key in 2 minutes. Room was clean & neat. Convenient location. I would give more of a 3.5 stars if they offered it. Considering all of the Marriott brand hotels I have stayed at, rooms seemed quite small and basic. HOWEVER, the location to Six Flags is amazing and I probably would not stay anywhere else because of that (not to mention the fact that the other hotels on the same street looked meh). Service was great, both in person and on the phone and the convenience of a restaurant is a plus (although can't give specifics because we did not eat there). read more

Awesome! There was a special arrangement for Touro interviewees. We were provided with a free shuttle that got us to the campus on time and it was even on time to take us back to the hotel. The checkout time was even extended so interviewees would be able to go back to their rooms and change/pack after the interview. I had a transportation issue where the local cab companies could not take me to an Amtrak bus stop 4 minutes away, so the hotel staff provided me with a shuttle ride that allowed me to catch the bus on time. Staff is friendly and very encouraging. I would strongly recommend this hotel to all those who are in need of housing for the Touro interview. read more
