Check-in was a breeze, and the front desk girl was friendly and welcoming. Our room was also a very comfortable size. The absolute best part of this location is the shuttle service. It picks you up right in front of the lobby and takes you directly to and from Six Flags. It completely eliminated the stress of parking, walking a long way, or transferring to other shuttles. Getting to the park was completely straightforward.Overall, it was a wonderful, hassle-free stay. We would definitely stay here again for future park visits!

Rated 3.5 Just…read morereturned from a family vacation to Six Flags, for which we stayed at this nice establishment. Overall the experience was good and we may choose to stay here again. Checking in was easy and the front desk staff was very friendly! We were arriving late night on Friday so I had called that day for them to leave a note on my reservation. We noticed their small store next to the front desk with food, drink, and personal care items available and thought the selection was well done (I didn't buy anything from it so cannot comment on the prices). The room was clean and tucked in the back by the parking lot. We were actually able to see both the theme park coasters and our car from our room. Score! Unfortunately, this is where they lose points for me. The options of what to watch on the TV were meh with bad channels and half of them losing signal. The Wifi was spotty and slow, but useable. The bed was soooo hard that I tossed and turned both nights and ended up with a sore back and neck. The other members of my party did too, one of which was sleeping on the sofa bed and commented it wasn't so comfortable either. This is obviously a personal preference, but it is a big deal for someone about to go enjoy the day at a theme park! The walls are thin, being able to hear people pretty clearly in their rooms as you walk through the halls ( *.* ) and when in your room, but we didn't have actual issues that stemmed from this. We ate from their breakfast spread both days we were there. They offered several juices, coffee, premade omelets, sausage rounds, potatoes, muffins, scones, bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal with regular and almond milk, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and two waffle machines with vanilla or red velvet batter. The food was meh lacking in flavor, but it also wasn't the worst we have had so we were happy it was included in the price to stay. On a side note, Dutch Bros is a literal 1 minute walk from the entrance of the hotel! Blessedly they had a shuttle that ran all day from Six Flags to the hotel which saved us $50 in parking. We had to call when we were ready to be picked up and they were there within just a few minutes. We decided to swim and enjoy the hot tub after our day at the park. It was fairly full of people and one of the cabana mattress covers was ripped up making it unusable, but the experience was fine. There were towels available by the door and the outside pool was heated, but still cool enough for enjoyment. The hot tub helped our sore muscles, but the jets aren't really usable on your body as they are way too strong. Ultimately, if the beds were softer and the breakfast a little better we would have no hesitation returning next time we wanted to go to Six Flags. We may try another hotel next time since those are important, but we wouldn't say no to staying here again. Thanks for the friendly service and clean hotel!

Yoshi showed us around when we arrived and give us a tour of the various rooms. The rooms feature wonderful Victorian pieces, my wife was in seventh heaven admiring everything! We asked if we could change rooms as the Pink Palace had better views, and Yoshi easily accommodated us - nice! A private parking lot is in the back; you don't have to park on the street. Our room was on the top floor and looked out over the Carquinez Strait. During our stay we loved watching the trains on the opposite shore, the changing tides, Egrets, Bay fog and the distant Carquinez Bridge. It was wonderful enjoying waterfront views without having to drive to the coast. The room featured three armchairs, table and chairs, nightstands with lamps, TV and mini fridge. Three complimentary water bottles were provided. Lovely art prints adorned the walls. The rooms have no air conditioning but they have portable units they can bring in on request. There was a good wind (as is often the case in Benicia) and that was sufficient on this day. The breakfast was amazing: hard boiled eggs (and an offer to make scrambled if we wanted), muffins, Bacon, cereal, rolls/pastries, bagels, cheeses, ham, milk, OJ and mango juice as options. Benicia is a quaint explore, lots of artisan shops. Look in on the One House Bakery for some delish sweets! Just a great stay, wish we could have extended. Look forward to a return visit!

The staff was professional, welcoming, and very understanding and accommodating of our needs throughout our stay. We were attending our 4th Annual Growing In The Spirit (GITS) Ladies Conference, and we especially want to recognize the banquet and event staff. They were exceptional--attentive, courteous, professional, and responsive to our needs throughout the conference. Their service helped make our event run smoothly and contributed to a wonderful overall experience for our attendees. We truly appreciate the hospitality shown to our group and the level of service we received. Based on our experience, we would definitely consider returning to the DoubleTree by Hilton Napa Valley American Canyon for another stay and future GITS events. Thank you to the entire team for helping make our visit and conference experience a memorable one!

Location is very good, close to everything we needed. However, cleaning was a whole other story. When arriving, we did not get a sense the room was clean, but seemed okay still. Our suspicions were right when we had the room "cleaned" a couple of days later. It was obvious the carpet had not been vacuumed in months (see photo) and felt "dirty" as well (debris sticking to your feet). Additionally, the coffee wasn't re-stocked completely and whatever coffee the service provided left a mess (see photo). Towels were not re-stocked and I had to contact the front desk for new towels. With this said, I would be unlikely to stay here again when I am in the area again.

There's a variety of food places next to the hotel as well as Walmart if you forgot to pack something. It's about 10-15 minutes from downtown Napa (depending what time you leave). The landscaping out in front of check in is brown and dead, the check in area itself is cramped and not welcoming at all. As I walked to my room on the first floor, the odor of cat urine was strong. The room was an adequate size, but had stains on the carpet and my shoes stuck to the tile inside the doorway. Amenities are few and linens are basic and rough. There is a small armoire, a desk and a strange little chair in the corner. Stains on the carpet and the bed. While this location is listed as animal friendly, I was not traveling with an animal, but based on the incessant barking, my neighbors were. The website shows a large pool; again, a wonderful use of camera angles. The patio area is large and clean, but the pool is small & inside an additional safety fence.
