This is a remodeled Marriott Courtyard across the street from Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. The lobby door is tiny. Once you get through you see a nice lobby with front desk, computer stations, lounge seats, The Bistro eatery and a big screen TV. The room we reserved had one king bed and a view of Six Flags. Basic amenities. Our stay was uneventful. One big added star for the staff calling me when I left an electronic device at the hotel after checkout. They said they would have it waiting for me when I was ready to pick it up. She. I arrived, it was all in one piece and Jasmine at the front desk was super polite and professional. 3 stars + 1 for the electronic device save! Super convenient that they serve pretty good food in the lounge area. The french fries are yummy. The lounge area has nice booth tables with outlets and a tv screen. How cool is that? :) I felt like I got my work done more efficiently. The room is great with a nice love seat couch/lounger. Bed is good. Despite Vallejo stereotypes and some former reviews' claims, this past weekend proves that this hotel is actually normal so nothing like any of the chaotic horrors one imagines or reads. Entry and parking are fine, there's a sign that says $20/d to park here, inside sign says $5/d which is the real rate. No clue if for guests only. The lot is brightly lit and had no shady characters. A hotel shuttle is frequently awaiting outside. I noticed 2 motorcoach companies made stops here, no clue if regular service. Area is Vallejo's northernmost blocks before American Canyon then Napa so very much quiet flatlands broken only by the Interstates and Six Flags whose noise is not as much as I feared. The interior is the latest Courtyard architecture with the social lobby with restaurant and bar set on the outside and plentiful (this lobby is unusually spacious for a Courtyard) featuring all types from rotating to 4-person and 6-person tables and couches and loveseats and a tv sports area with pool table. There's a long and wide walk to the elevators, a minor downside of this layout. Front desk staff are knowledgeable and eager to help, their speed and familiarity with the area pleased the 4 in line ahead of me. Rooms are the Courtyard standard, this hotel was clearly remodelled from an earlier variant which is more spread out than a brand new built Courtyard which is helpful. All in all, superb everything, priced it but it's near Napa and in a safe area across the street from Six Flags during peak season thus expected. read more

Absolutely my worst Marriott experience in the world. Pulled up to the main entrance and greeted by a bunch of chicken bones someone ate and left their trash there. Housekeeper just pushed cart out of the main entrance and did not pick up. So, you have to maneuver your luggage to avoid rolling over the bones. Disgusting. This is the only Marriott that doesn't do room service. And I don't mean delivering food. I mean for basic service like bringing more cream and sugar to your room. The Front Desk said to go downstairs to the restaurant and get them myself, so I did. Went down to the lobby only to be told by the restaurant staff that there's no cream/sugar set and that she doesn't know what I'm talking about or doesn't care what the Front Desk said, but simply, there's no cream/sugar set that customers can just come and grab. For Vallejo, I give it 5 stars. I've stayed here a few times and it's actually not that bad. Every front desk person I've met there has been very helpful and kind. The rooms are decent and clean, the walls maybe needing some wipe down but overall clean bed clean room and clean bathroom. They have a cafe down stairs which isn't so bad either. I would stay here again any time I'm in the area. read more

They saved my mini vacation! The motels in and around six flags leave a lot to be desired. I unfortunately booked 3 nights at one of them for my son and i. It was a nightmare. I called this motel and spoke to Ebony. She took care of us above and beyond. I can't thank her enough. My previous motel of choice was best western. Ebony changed my mind. I will now be booking all my motel needs with these guys and if they can deliver on half the standard that Ebony has set them i will be happy. read more

Pretty surprised that this is a three star hotel. Lobby was fine but as soon as you step in to the elevator it is an entirely different story. The carpet had such a grime to it that it was sticky. Couch was also filthy. Every piece of furniture was scratched including the headboard which was exceedingly disgusting. Bathroom handle was broken and the shower was old. read more

The staff in general were all very kind. Location wise it is across from six flags and we should have just walked and not paid for parking. The rooms are beat down and worn. The hallways throughout the hotel had wrappers and nit well kept. The shower would be hot then go to cold all of a sudden. The window was closed but had a large gap that I ended up sticking a towel in to prevent the cold air from drafting in. All of the laundry machines had signs posted that they are out of order. read more

The pictures online must be very outdated. We chose this hotel because it was right across from Discovery Kingdom. Unfortunately it's past due for many upgrades. I ripped my sock on staple that were sticking out of the floor on the entry where the carpet was completely worn. I am leaving a one star review for this hotel based on previous reviews and what happened to me during our last stay. Security at this hotel needs to be improved. There is no reason why review after review about broken car windows are still being written. We were here for a dog show and were paying a ridiculous $300 a night. I enjoy this hotel, it is convenient, rooms are comfortable and they are dog friendly. I felt it was a 'safer' option since j travel alone with a teenage daughter. The first night we were there (stayed 4 nights) I came out the next morning to find my back window smashed. Ok inconvenient and irritating but nothing seemed to be missing. Told the front desk and got a 'oh gee too bad' When I went to get the window fixed, the guy told me they have to replace Windows all the time at this hotel and that is when I started getting angry, esp reading previous reviews. The front desk blamed the people leaving valuables in their cars for why windows are smashed so often. So it is my fault, not theirs basically. Since this is a pattern and at a hotel that charges $250 + a night for rooms, I feel that security should be made a priority. This shouldn't be a reoccurring theme, it shouldn't be that easy to get away with! I really hope the hotel hires more security and maybe a dedicated guard to the parking lot behind the hotel. This hotel is clean, comfortable and the location is perfect if you're going to six flags. Literally right across the street from there. I like the fact that they had Paul Mitchell hair products and Neutrogena makeup remover wipes. The beds were comfortable. Housekeeping did tidy the room early and the lobby was decorated beautifully for Christmas. One complaint is that the heating/AC unit is too loud and there also wasn't a luggage rack. It was a quick drive to Napa which is where my son lives so that was a plus. Parking was also free. read more

I've spent several years in the lobby of this hotel. I've never made it upstairs into a room (we don't live all that far away), but we've used it as a meeting place for a French Club that my husband and his family are members of. The Frenchies meet here for various outings (Reno trip, Napa trip, etc.) and a luxury bus will pick up 50 or so members of the club for the trip. The participants can park in the lots for a discounted daily rate and our vehicles have never had a problem. It's a very safe parking lot and a great place to meet! The hotel lobby was renovated this year and has a sleek, modern feel now when you walk inside. There's a computer area and a sort of library, as well as seats for lounging and a café in the morning with hot food and Starbucks coffee, and a bar for drinks (which opens later in the day/evening). Staff is warm and pleasant. If we didn't live so close we would definitely stay here for a night! And if any of the Reno or Napa French Club trips get too crazy, it's good to know our car is already parked in a safe spot - we'd book a room before drinking and driving! (Across the street is Six Flags Discovery Kingdom - saw lots of guests staying here before/after their fun adventure.) Also, the Napa BottleRock concert series probably led to the sell-out status of this hotel this year. I bet next year will be even crazier. Book Memorial weekend now if youre going! read more

I landed here in mid move and ended up staying way longer than planned and I'm so grateful I did, management and staff are some of the warmest people I've met. Rooms are spotless, my dog was with me during my stay and there was lots of grass in front and the back of the hotel to walk her. It didn't start off that well, to be honest. Booked the hotel via hotels dot com and asked them twice to confirm that there was no pet fee included and to ask for a room on the first floor near an exit. Arrived to check in only to find that of course, there was a rather hefty $75 pet fee and nope, we are going to let you and your dog ride that elevator up and down 87 times for the next 48 hours to your room on the 5th floor. I was pretty upset, to be honest. Not at the hotel, but at that third party website. Fortunately, in my case, the guy at the front desk was kind enough to waive the pet fee - thank you very much, and that is the reason I gave this hotel four stars. (Also, while I was obviously upset, at no time did I yell or scream or threaten anyone - I believe in being persistent but polite, and I hope that's why they waived the fee.) Nice, understanding staff. Easy access off I-80. Free wifi in the room - decent, not great. Starbucks in the lobby. Room was spacious, great air-conditioning, very comfy bed. Room insulated so you couldn't hear all the screaming from the people on the roller coasters. Basic amenities in bathroom - shampoo, conditioner, but no hair dryer that I saw. Fridge in room (didn't use it). LESSON LEARNED: Book hotel directly, not through a third party website. More likely they will match or better another website's pricing. read more

Got this room by doing my Priceline bidding thing, as I always try to do. Of course, it always helps when you win it at a cool (almost 50%) discount, sometimes more. But sometimes (quite rarely) the joy is lost when you see what you got. This is an older Marriott Courtyard and sadly not as well maintained as I would expect. This Courtyard is listed on Priceline as a 3 star, the only 3 star in Vallejo. It is not 3 stars. It is closer to a 2 or 2 1/2 star even by Priceline standards. My 1st impression was sitting in the lobby in lounge chairs that were worn and visibly dirty. My 2nd/3rd impressions were loudly burbling plumbing and a big sloshy, wet spot in the rug of our room. We were moved, but that 2nd room failed in my estimation too after seeing fairly obviously peeling, dirty wallpaper, a badly patched/never re-painted ceiling, and worn wood furniture. So while I am being the picky customer, I want to point out that there is a sign posted at the entry to the parking lot that states $20/day parking fee. The desk clerk said the charges are for non-hotel customers. I can see that, being precisely across the street from Six Flags, non customers could be sorely tempted to park there, but frankly who is monitoring this? I saw no one. And they did not take down my car license to separate me from the riff raff. How ya gonna enforce that, Marriott? Pluses: proximity to Six Flags, freeway, Napa wines, and other charming SF Bay Area sites. To their credit, the staff were wonderful, the beds comfortable, and the room was clean, with new carpet. Free wifi, refrigerator in the room. Still, I am glad I did not pay full price (well, honestly, I say that about all my hotel rooms). Negatives: property condition. It needs some serious love. And I do not find Vallejo endearing at all. I probably would not do a Priceline bid on this area again. read more

I would give it a -0 stars but thats not possible. We paid online for 4days starting friday and at first everything was Jolly friendly receptionist and clean. But it soon turned ugly. On sunday morning at about 11am we walked towards our car only to notice that my passenger window was broken and several of my items missing as I walked to lobby and asked the manager to call the Police she said "No, they wont come".. Here. And handed me a copy of instructions on how to file a Police Report. I was in utter disbelief. I said so you have these pre-printed? Does this mean it happens often? She simply said "Guests Park at their own Risk" At that point Several other people came in with the same Complaint. THERE WAS OVER 10 Vehicle's vandalized and staff was nonchalant about it. That night I didn't sleep worried and concerned about our 2nd car. From 9pm -11pm The "socalled security guard" spent most of his time in the computer area cleaning up, taking out garbage and going into the kitchen than he did outside watching the cars. It was unreal. You'd think that for what they charge a night they would at least have cameras outside but Nooo. On monday morning I asked to speak to Manager Thomas Carrion and asked if they had even considered compensating the affected guest and he said " I Dont Know" shrugged shoulders and starred at me. This was the worst experience EVER, No sense of Empathy whatsoever. Its more than obvious customer service is NOT a priority in this Marriot. read more

I have been staying here on and off on business for the past few years. While I like the convenient location of this hotel it really doesn't have much to write about. It is like most Courtyards. It is a little older and hasn't bee updated in some time. The staff is always friendly which is nice, but that is about it. There is also nothing right convenient to eat or in walking distance. The other draw back is that it is directly across the street from the theme park which always draws a ton of families which is fine but when on business the noise is somewhat annoying at times. The only thing is that when in this area there are not a lot of choices and you for sure don't want to go off adventuring out at night around here to far...the area and even across the street to grab a water or snack can be a little shady. The one thing nice is they do have a bar downstairs at night that opens to chill out in and the drink prices are somewhat fair for a hotel. Only one TV to watch so not the greatest place to chill out and catch a game but a good option regardless. Another drawback with not having good food options is that they don't offer any food either? They could seriously cash in on his availability. Other Courtyards I have been to offer a small menu with great options for late night dinner options. read more

They were too slammed to really make complaining worthwhile and I just don't complain anyways. . . No ketchup for fries. Margarita was all sweet and sour. Dumped it out. I stayed here for two nights a couple of weeks ago with my fiance in a King size room. We arrived at the hotel fairly late on a Friday night after a cross country flight but had an easy check in. Whenever we got to our room I was surprised to see that it was set up a little differently than pretty much every other hotel room that I have ever been in. That is to say that the bed was facing in the opposite direction from the door and not directly at the TV which was off to the side and on a desk. None of this was a bad thing but is worth mentioning and I believe this actually made more room for the bathroom which was pretty large. We didn't really spend too much time in this hotel but it seemed to be somewhat new, everything was clean and the price was good. It was also conveniently located to the Six Flags across the street, not that we took advantage of that at all. The bottom line for me is that I would recommend this hotel to someone in the future. Solid and newly renovated hotel. I stayed there a week for work and found it clean and nicely set up. You could tell it was recently given a makeover. My bed was cozy and the room was clean and modern. There's a nice LCD TV and outlet plugs conveniently located next to each side of the bed. It's still a tub shower setup but it was clean and the bathroom had nice touches. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did a great job and the front desk let me have a late 1pm checkout which I really appreciated. If you are going there for Six Flags, one of the roller coasters are literally right across the street but I heard no extra noise from the amusement park. If I was the area, I'd stay here again. We had a 3 night stay at this location and the experience was not as good as I had expected. The check in process was seamless. The lobby was clean, inviting and open space for social Distancing. The issues we had especially having our family with us, everywhere in the facility, inside or outside, no matter where we went it always had the very strong smell of marijuana and a few of us are allergic to the drug. We ended up getting headaches and couldn't sleep. This was around 1am lasted til 4am. The main issue is no matter what room you'd be in you'll smell it. So even if I requested to move to a different room, wouldn't make a difference. This is very sad and I've never had an experience like this with any Marriott. I really wish and hope something can be done about this and sadly I don't feel that the brand name is being represented the right way. read more

We were in town for a wedding, and stayed for 3 days/2 nights over the Labor day weekend. I called ahead to get a map of local wineries, and by the quick response, I should have known that this would be a great experience. We were a little concerned because you are literally in the shadows of the Six Flags roller coasters, but since our rooms were facing opposite the park, there was no noise. The only hindrance from the proximity is that they check your room status when driving into the parking area, but nothing major. The property is very clean, up to date, and very welcoming. When you enter the lobby, you are immediately greeted by the front desk staff. A theme you will find throughout the staff. Everyone was smiling, even though they were fully booked for the weekend. They have a restaurant onsite, which while not creative, or overly expensive, provides solid food. Pizza delivery available from the local vendors, a Carl's Jr. is within walking distance, and there are a few chain restaurants within 5 minutes drive time. Wireless access is free throughout the property and there is a computer and printer in the lobby if you need to print out maps or boarding passes. Our rooms were spacious, held 2 Queen beds, a desk, dress, and armoire, a wet bar, and a small refrigerator. The bathroom was also very spacious. We had a couple of maintenance issues which were not quickly addressed, and when we brought them up to the manager, he quickly ensured that we were accommodated to our satisfaction, without any prompting. What Service! You are within 30 minutes drive to many of the area wineries, so rather than pay a huge rate for some of the boutique hotels, this is a great alternative. If you are looking for something close to Six Flags, this is the place. Overall a good experience, made excellent by the staff. read more

My daughter is a single mom whom has my two granddaughters . She rented a room to complete the girls weekend spending time at Six Flaggs . Unfortunately my 8 year old granddaughter had jumped on an ottoman which had wheels she fell from under it and it hit the wall causing damages about 2x2 area . My daughter did the right thing and told management about the accident and was dealt with in a rude manner and also charged $150. I have. We stayed here in June 09 and had a great experience. We took advantage of the room package deal that had tickets to Six Flags; and a full breakfast in the morning. They even special made omelets any way we wanted them. Lots of choices for everyone, even my pickiest kid left with a full tummy. Nice and friendly hotel staff with everyone we came in contact with. Seems everyone was smiling. Made out stay nice for sure. Rooms were very clean as well as the bathroom. Plenty of clean towels. Pool and jacuzzi were nice and clean and even heated too. Lots of pool towels. This hotel is right across the street from Six Flags and we left our car in the parking lot at the hotel and walked across the street (saved 15.00 parking). VERY CONVENIENT. I stay in courtyards about 14 nights a month, they're all starting to look the same. This is one that's been remodeled, had the nice carpets, the "market," the bistro, upgraded furniture, a business center, fitness center and a nice lobby. I needed to be in Napa for work one day this week and the hotels in actual Napa were extremely expensive so I stayed here which was only 20 minutes south. What I didn't realize that Vallejo isn't the nicest of all areas, but I'm not from N CA so I didn't know where I was booking! But the room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the fitness center at this courtyard is great. It has 2 ellipticals, 2 treadmills, a bike, free weights and workout balls. One of the main reasons for booking this hotel was for its newly remodeled gym but I didn't realize a strange person would be knocking on my car window at 9pm in the parking lot. So for a courtyard this one is definitely a 5, the area itself is a 3 so overall it's a 4 star stay! read more

Not the best Courtyard I've been to bit definitely not the worst. I would give this place a 3.5 star rating. I have stayed at a handful of hotels and i had a good overall experience. Check in was quick and easy! They accepted our government id and discount. Also, because we were Marriott elite...we got free breakfast! The room was roomy and spacious. Flat screen tv and nice King sized bed. There was a fridge in the room and a couch, desk and free wifi. I like that this hotel did not have thin walls. Thank goodness! The fitness room was big but no extras like no weights, yoga mats or workout balls. The fitness room was COLD! Ac was broken I think. The "non smoking" room we reserved smelled of lingering cigarette smoke which I i didn't like. The ironing board was REALLY old and needed replacement. Drug addicts hanging out in front intimidating people going thru the front door at night (I work with addicts so I know); who then were in the lobby in the morning! The person in the lobby in the morning was very large, was talking to himself, and had no mask on. Even after I talked to staff, he was there for at least a half hour and there when we left. We felt endangered. Additionally, we contracted thru Priceline for $122.99 for the night. But Marriot posted $222.99 to our charge card without our knowledge. When I called them, they could provide no reason / evidence for the extra charge. We had our CC company dispute, but then Marriot re-charged the $100 to my account! Talk about sleazeballs. Our CC company ate the charge themselves. Folks - I've probably stayed at a Marriott's over 400 nights, and this is a different Marriot these days. read more

Worst experience ever!! I was awakened at 530am by a cockroach crawling on my arm laying eggs!!!! They changed the betting right away, but it still doesn't change the fact that a damn roach was on my damn arm laying eggs!!! Disgusting and traumatizing !!! Couldn't go back to sleep knowing the the room is infested with roaches. There was an electrical outlet without a face plate covering, which is where the roach probably came from!!! We went to complain to the front she wrote a report and told us management would be in touch and no one got back to us. We called back and we're told management wouldn't be in until 12!! And apparently report was never made. She also wanted us to provide the pictures so I will be posting them along with this review! So disappointed and disgusted!!!!! read more

This hotel is directly across the street from Six Flags Discovery Kingdom so if you stay here, don't bother to pay for park parking. However, Bistro hours are not always true to what they're posted operating hours state, and their WiFi coverage is spotty and really slow at night. Prices for a king room are good but their suites are double that cost...very strange considering this location caters to families. read more

I was here on business and it was torture! Six Flags is literally across the street. I was able to check in early which was awesome. The cleaning folks are extremely nice and helpful.. As is the front desk. Parking was not an issue at all. They have (overpriced) Starbucks in limited quantity. Their Bistro items are also in low quantity because they are switching out the menu. My quesadilla wasn't horrible and it held me over the first night. If you are into it-- they have a happy hour. The room was spacious and clean. The cable channel variety is decent. I am extremely pleased with this hotel. It is very clean, modern, and professional. The interior decor is stunning. Well kept up, everything was clean and stocked. The employees were very pleasant, although I noticed one of the employees had her boyfriend hanging around the front desk. However she was very professional and helped us out before talking to him. The rooms were nice and clean. The toilet took a while to flush. The printer would not print my directions to my destination the next day, but it was not a big issue. One thing I would advise people, Six Flags is literally across the street. The mass of people screaming to their death can be heard from the hotel. The hotel has a bistro with very nice servers and delicious looking food. I did not have time to try the food, but maybe next time. I would say overall my stay was very pleasant. read more

Extremely disappointing stay here for my family and me this last week. We arrived at check-in time (after leaving early from Reno) with full intent on using the pool and were met with the sign stating that the pool was closed due to maintenance. I'm an understanding person but with 3 kids and mid-July weather, a huge disappointment. Especially when we went to look at the pool and no one was working on it on Monday around 3pm. We didn't let it ruin our trip and walked across the street to the Six Flags and spent our evening there. That night we used the A/C Unit but it kept turning off and the mode to have a continuous fan was disabled. Having a hotel right next to a theme park and freeway with no way to block out the noise is just not right! So, I didn't get much sleep and had to endure a jam packed day at the park. read more
