It's clear that this is an older Holiday Inn, but it's been recently renovated so that it feels quite a bit newer. However, it also retains some of the older elements of the hotel that you wouldn't find in a newer Holiday Inn. For example, there is a gorgeous tree sculpture at the front entrance and a nice grassy area by the pool/hot tub. This Holiday Inn is also in a quieter neighborhood so you don't need to listen to highway noise. Sadly, the pool was closed when we stayed, but it did look like a nice area to take a dip - not like other Holiday Inns where the pool area looks like it's part of a prison facility. Our room was spacious, the mattresses were relatively new, and we didn't hear other doors slamming while we were sleeping, so I'm grateful for a night of good sleep. I also appreciated the healthier breakfast options like the egg white omelette and the no sugar added yogurt with 15 grams of protein. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is right in the middle of the action, making it convenient to walk to restaurants, shops, nightlife, and events without worrying about driving or parking. It is a full-service Marriott with everything you need for a comfortable stay: a nice gym, outdoor swimming pool, restaurant with a breakfast buffet, and a bar for evening cocktails. There is also an espresso machine in the morning, which is a great touch. This place covers everything you need to enjoy this part of Scottsdale. The hotel is well maintained and it's been a while since the last remodel, but I could not find anything wrong with the physical hotel or my overall experience. Everything felt clean, comfortable, and in good shape. If you need a dependable, nice hotel in a prime Old Town Scottsdale location, this is an excellent choice. Enjoy!

I'm not sure what this exactly entailed because my dad bought it so I can't speak about that or pricing. We stayed in a room with one queen and a murphy bed. I slept in the murphy bed which was quite comfortable. There was also a small tv, small balcony, desk to work from, private doors to room and bathroom with tub. Overall the room felt dirty and smelled a bit musty from the A/C. What reeked me the most was how outdated the room was and the condensation in the bathroom that gave mold vibes almost. There was no fan in the bathroom so maybe that's why. The tile was dirty and there was hair on the floor too. Something about it and the colors of the bathroom shower were just uncomfortable compared to other Marriott stays haha. Prob would come back for Spring Training but if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't go back.

We had the opportunity to attend Sunset & Sparks at Vīb Hotel Tempe, where guests enjoyed an evening filled with rooftop views, a buffet dinner, complimentary cocktails, lawn games, live music, a photo booth, and of course, fireworks to end the night. As much as we love our usual Independence Day traditions, this was a refreshing change of pace. Instead of rushing around, we were able to slow down, take in an incredible Arizona sunset, enjoy some good food, listen to live music, and simply spend quality time together. The buffet featured grilled chicken, burgers with all the fixings, creamy potato salad, coleslaw, fresh toppings, patriotic desserts, and plenty of drinks to keep everyone cool throughout the evening. Sometimes it's not about doing the biggest celebration--it's about finding the right atmosphere to relax and enjoy the holiday. This rooftop event delivered exactly that. Thank you to Vīb Hotel Tempe for inviting us out to experience Sunset & Sparks. We had a wonderful evening and loved seeing another unique way to celebrate the Fourth of July in the Valley.

The first thing I noticed about our room was the layout. Typical hotel rooms have the headboards of the bed against the wall. Our room was totally different. There was a long desk which was the headboard of the bed and the foot of the bed faced the window. As a result, there was very little space between one side of the bed and the wall. It wasn't a big deal but worth noting. Our room was clean and quiet which was appreciated. I also really liked the fragrance of the body wash and lotion. It was definitely a little detail that I noticed. All in all our stay was comfortable and relaxing. If we are back in the area we would probably stay at the Vib Hotel again.

Excellent customer service upon greeting and when I had to unexpectedly extend my stay two nights. Pet friendly and my two dogs were welcomed for a small fee. Bed and pillows were comfortable; room was large and clean; and amenities were great. Room stayed cool with the A/C and double shades. Room had a desk, mini fridge, microwave, and lots of storage. I had to telework and the internet worked great for what I needed - I was even able to stream videos, etc. Small perks which make it more desirable: breakfast has a ton of options; free waters because AZ is so hot; great covered parking; and complimentary cookies in the afternoon! Only small (and I mean minor) critique: this is an extremely pet friendly hotel. I only wished there had a been a dedicated, fenced space for my dogs to do their business. I felt bad walking them all over the property to do use the restroom. The hotel is also very close to a highly trafficked 4-lane street. It made me nervous walking them so close to that busy of a roadway. Maybe they could rededicate some of their space in the back to a small dog run.

Other than the location, I didn't like much about this hotel. First of all, the room felt really…read moredated, with yellowed plastic fixtures in the bathroom, dated carpet, etc. The shower curtain rod was also broken at the edge, with a sharp piece sticking out that actually poked me in the finger. The shower curtain looked like it had seen better days as well. Another annoying thing was the AC. I like to set the temperature to a certain degree, for example, 72, and have the AC stop once it reaches that temperature and turn back on when needed, rather than constantly running. However, there was no "Auto" option for the fan. It was either on or off. Because of that, I had to turn it off overnight to avoid freezing, and then I woke up sweating. The breakfast wasn't very good either. The options were very limited, and what they did have didn't look very appetizing. The fitness room is on a level called "B," which takes a bit of navigating to get to, and that entire level feels like a dungeon. The fitness room itself also feels like an afterthought. Although the staff was very helpful, I would not recommend this hotel. Overall, it feels like the property is in need of a renovation.

Are the soaps are actually nice that are provided as well as the shampoo and conditioners, it doesn't dry out your skin like most. They have toothbrushes and toothpaste and other travel needs just in case you forgot something. I continue staying here because this is actually better than my apartment even though I live at the Broadstone Scottsdale Quarter. I've been here for about a month, and already the staff feels like friends! The rooms are nice clean and tidy, there's a recycle can and a trashcan in your room located under the desk. I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel, I wish there was one of these in every part of the United States with the same warm staff lol.
