Bath, serviceable, towels a bit cheap
    Kris L.

The rooms are large and the bed was very comfortable plus the fitness center was decent and seemed new and clean. Some drawbacks - the towels are cheap and a bit rough and the wall AC is noisy ( i also carry noise canceling earbuds so didn't bother me), I won't knock the rating down too much for this because the price is very good for the Camelback Biltmore area. The one thing that was off putting was the pool in August had green algae! The water was too hot to swim in anyway, but they really should look after this better.

    Hottub, outside pool and firepit!

Our stay here was decent enough; our fridge didn't work so we were given another room quickly. There's no laundry room on site, but they have a nice outside pool and hottub. Our room was right above the firepit but you couldn't tell because it was nice and quiet! Recommended.

We arrived at the Hampton Inn here on Highland Ave after our long flight from Jacksonville Florida. The hotel is super clean. The staff is super friendly. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to a grocery store and restaurants. The hotel is on a somewhat busy road but you can't hear anything from inside the room. We also liked the Continental breakfast in the morning. Everything was hot and fresh and very tasty. I definitely recommend this hotel while in Phoenix! We were here only one night but would definitely stay here again! Thanks Hampton Inn for a great hotel stay!

The hotel was 1 star, but I gave them 2 more because of the two stars at the front desk--Sarah and Brian. My first night here, my toilet began to overflow. Although they did not have any maintenance at 7pm, and did not have a plunger at hand, Sarah helped me out and was able to get me into another room. When I went down to get my key, I met a lady in the elevator that was going down to complain about her sink not draining. This second room had a toilet that flushed, a sink that drained, and a nice comfy bed that I was so excited to sleep in before my first day at my new job. However, I was unable to sleep due to the dog next door barking every time I would doze off... at around 2am, needing to sleep, I put in my noise canceling headphones and played some lofi music to sleep for the next 4 hours. I woke up the next morning, and got their breakfast. Though the food looked mediocre, I thought the omelet they had SLAPPED! That thing was smack-a-lacking. Then I got some coffee from their serve station before I was off and it didn't taste terrible! (I was going to need it after not sleeping). When I came back from work, I was so excited to take a nap because I was so tired from the lack of my first nights sleep. However, the dog had somehow gotten worse! I absolutely hate going down to complain, but I had to be that guy bc it was so bad, and Sarah gave me some ear plugs to help with the noise. When I went back up, my neighbors were outside because they had just complained too. Brian and Sarah both came up to check it out, knocked on the door, and made sure the dog was safe before leaving again. It was a cute Frenchie like dog, but boy, did it have something so say. I then put the ear plugs Sarah had given to me in, and put my headphones on to doze off to the LEGO Movie, when the dog continued screaming bloody murder--putting me into fight or flight. I said f-it to my nap and I took a shower with music to calm tf down. I was rinsing out my conditioner (which was the hotels' and worked wonders in my hair), when I heard a thump and a shatter that scared me shitless. I immediately got out, and saw that something glass had fallen. I had no clue what it was, but still in fight or flight, I put on my crocs and used a towel to clean up the glass. Between the dog, and the glass, and the lack of sleep I felt like I was going mad, and recorded a 40-second video of the dog going batshit. I then went back down to the front desk--towel still in my hair. When I showed Brian at the front desk my video, he responded with empathy. Even though he had to relay the bad news that there was not much he could do--as the room next door was technically not breaking any rules--he gave me an email to send my video to. I went back upstairs to my room, feeling exhausted and defeated, and on the verge of sleepless tears, I called my friend to vent. Thankfully, after a few minutes, I got a ring on the hotel phone from Brian saying they found me another room on the opposite side of the building to stay in. They also offered to come up to help me pack up my things and move with a luggage cart. I am now in a new room, free from the yipping, and I am slowly gaining my sanity back thanks to Sarah and Brian. You guys are real ones. Thank you for the help and for having great communication and empathy in this insane situation.

I ended up staying here for a night but transferring to a work event on the other side of town today. It was easy to book this location on line. Check in was easy and the staff is very friendly. I booked a King Bedroom and was surprised how large it was. It was an end room and had a private entrance with lots of space and a separate bathroom area. Unfortunately the room was too warm and I couldn't get it too cool down. This was frustrating. They serve breakfast and coffee in the morning which is a nice option. Overall, clean

We had to make a very quick trip to Phoenix due to a death in the family, and the Hampton was able to accomodate us. The room here was large and comfortable, with a view down to the pool. Although it was spring break week with lots of families, we found our week there to be very quiet. There are lots of restaurants and food stores in the general neighborhood, so we kept the fridge and microwave here busy. Night is special when they turn on the fire pit next to the pool, and we made good use of the hot tub. The reason that they got five stars boils down to the staff, who made us feel welcome every second in a difficult time. We salute them!

We stayed here for an event and this place hits all the right notes. The parking can get a bit full but drive down and there's more space underneath. The staff here are friendly and and appreciative as they'll go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Rooms are clean, spacious and top notched. They do only have one elevator and can take a few tries during busy hours. The beds were a bit soft for my preference and the A/C unit worked well. The in-room beverage fridge, coffee maker and additional sink was nice touch. Their morning breakfast was more than your typical continental breakfast. they have slight variations of their hot plates and ample coffee and fruits for your taking.

All the staff were kind and helpful. All contact has been limited as I reserved the room through the app, checked in with the app, and obtained my room key as well through the app. I was Leery of using the app for everything but it is way better than calling the central booking line. The room was very well lit. The air was on and the room was cool before I got in. The room is spacious and laid out well. Met Art when I came in and he was very kind and cheerful. We had a few laughs, and he thanked me for choosing to stay here. Art reminded me of breakfast in the morning and did such a great description of everything that I was becoming hungry just hearing about it.

The hotel was in a great location. We had a large room, it was nice, but the bathroom toilet had dried pee spots around it on the floor that hadn't been cleaned up.

It was a pleasant two night stay here for a meeting I had to attend in Phoenix. It's a short walk to the Biltmore shopping centers for dinner. My room was spacious and quiet which I very much appreciate. The gym was equipped with the standard fare and a bit small. I did appreciate the refilling water station. The front desk staff were all very professional and helpful. The maps provide a good breakdown of the services near the hotel. Breakfast spread has something for everyone. Most folks were interested in the waffles. I had scrambled eggs one morning and a western omelet another morning. Peanut butter with my oatmeal was a plus too!

Ah the ambience of that high end composite shearing that's been sitting there for four frickin' days!
    david h.

Four stars?! Four stars?! What a f'ing joke! The pool area has zero ambience. There's some frickin sheets of plywood and some yellow tape at the entrance; it looks like some extremely lazy contractors staged it there and called it good. Might as well have a pile of retaining wall bricks there as well. The TV in the gym is broken and has been for a while and they don't give a shit about that. Half of the mini TVs on the machines have dead remotes. They put me next to the elevators, which make whirring and thudding noises as they slowly creep up and down just as I'm trying to sleep. These things are stupidly slow - just use the stairs lazy ass! Oh and I love the specially designed "slam loud" doors! Awesome! This place gets two stars for being clean and the housekeeping staff does a great job. Otherwise that's it - right where it belongs. Unfortunately many milquetoast business travelers have been very pleased by this beacon of sub mediocrity and now you too, will have been fooled by it's insanely inaccurate 4 star rating.

    Gym. Nice, updated machines

The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

Again I tipped 25% My phone has text alert and I noticed the bill was $42.62 for what should have been $22.00 max I bought it to my bar tenders attention and she was working things out on the registry and came back with a receipt that didn't have prices just my order but she had added 1 extra beer. I told her it was wrong and she said it wasn't that the first time she had only charged me for 2 beers and this was my third beer. I did not want to argue so I left it at that but I couldn't sleep thinking about it. I mean dang I even tipped her good. The next day I reached out. To management I don't mind taking care of my servers and I'm always a good tipper. But I don't like being taken advantage of because they think I had a few drinks. Or they think I won't notice extra things. This is not okay. The hotel you check into is supposed to be a safe place like home to enjoy a drink or two. The management offered to refund the first bill of 52.18. But I told him I just wanted what I was over charged refunded plus my tips. At this point I feel she had the chance to correct my bill and make things right but she chose to make me feel like I was in the wrong. After the manager added my first bill up after I told him what I had ordered it turns out she charged 4 beers the first time and not just my 3 and way over charged me the second time. This was our fourth consecutive year, and we were eagerly anticipating this trip with high hopes for the Omni Scottsdale experience. While the property itself was beautiful and the restaurants were excellent, the spa was an enormous disappointment. The setting had all the makings of a luxurious retreat, but the spa experience fell far short of expectations. Both the interior jacuzzi and the rooftop spa pool had a visible ring of grime made up of oils and skin residue. When I ran my finger along the edge, a chunk of sticky buildup came off--it encircled the entire tub. What made this especially concerning was that I was the very first spa guest to use the jacuzzi on a Saturday morning at 9 a.m. This clearly wasn't buildup from a busy day; it appeared to be the result of weeks or even months of inadequate cleaning and maintenance. There is simply no excuse for that level of neglect at a resort and spa of this caliber. I reported the issue immediately. To her credit, the general manager was gracious and responsive, ultimately comping two nights of our stay, which I genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, the spa manager did not seem to fully grasp how unacceptable and unsanitary the situation was. I was offered 10% off spa services, but after spending more than $600 specifically to enjoy the spa amenities, I found it impossible to relax or enjoy the experience afterward. Overall, it was deeply disappointing and honestly upsetting, especially given how much we look forward to this annual tradition each year.
