Given I travel for business most weeks, I am a big fan of the Courtyard hotels from Marriott. They are always a good hotel for the price, have the amenities that keep a business traveler happy, and are usually located just where you'd expect them to be. Such was the case with this Courtyard. The Bistro here pours a decent glass of wine (usually what I need after my long days of meetings) and the breakfast/coffee in the morning gets me on my way. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the prices are reasonable and there is coffee in the rooms. Pretty much checks off all my boxes for what I need in a hotel. If you don't need to stay at one of the fabulous resorts in this area, check out the Courtyard. A little hard to find as it is tucked away behind a strip mall, but a great night's sleep! read more

As convenient as this place is to the restaurants and shopping place. definitely won't recommend as we did not get what we requested for. I specifically asked for the mountain view room but even though the rooms were not full they were not able to accomodate their gold tier members Thank you Marriott for treating your customers this way and the guy at the front desk confused us to which way we have to get to our room.. also I asked for extras which were not available there. Will never stay at this hotel read more

I have to say this was a pleasant place to rest my hard after meeting with out of town family. My room was way more cleaner and fresher smelling than the room I just paid $279 a night to weeks ago and this room was only $99 a night. The lobby and bistro is really nice, gives you more of a corporate travel preference to stay. I did not have a chance to order from the bistro, but they're centrally located in the midst of yummy restaurants that all deliver in a timely manner The walls and ceiling are sound proof and my sleep was Awesome! The AC is a little loud, BUT the bed makes up for it The only thing I didn't like was the lack of towels and only could get a couple more during my three day stay. Staff was awesome and friendly no matter the shift. read more

Earlier this week, we spent two nights at this Courtyard location. The visit wasn't bad. The facility is located next to an adjacent strip mall. This particular area of Phoenix is filled with extensive choices of food and entertainment. You will definitely have plenty of options. If you have business in the area, this hotel will be a good selection; as the price is fair and you will have everything you need. (Centrally located, work station, internet, etc) Our room was decent. It could have used a bit of attention. There was an obvious attempt to repair a cracked tile in the bathroom. Unfortunately, when they completed the repair, they did a poor job of clean-up. There was dried caulk and adhesive on the floor, which resulted in shoe print marks that were left from prior guest. (Kind of gross) The shower head was also a bit of a issue; as it was heavily corroded with lime buildup. All easy repairs... just need someone to go the mile to care about presentation. The facility itself was clean and the staff that we interacted with were friendly. There are Covid precautions in place, to include hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility. I didn't see anything in the rooms that pointed to what they were doing to sanitize rooms or additional precautionary measures taken, but would suspect they were keeping up with what Marriott has mandated at each of their locations. I would likely stay here again if the rates were right. read more

First of all this hotel is all screwed up check on is at three but room wasn't ready till 4 hours later . Next found drug paraphernalia from previous guest not good . Courtyard is a very mid mid-level chain that is part of the Marriott Properties. So when you can find a good deal on the rooms, especially last minute, that's a good thing! My plans changed in the middle of the afternoon (Phoenix weather! Ugh!) and so instead of being in Flagstaff, I was searching for a room in the valley. The Courtyard stepped up and while it's not in the absolute best neighborhood, it's easy to access and I had a very quiet room. The room was nice and comfortable with a large bed plus a sofa and coffee table that faced the large screen TV. The work desk had sufficient power for my laptop and phone. Bathroom had all the amenities I expect for Marriott properties, including curved shower rod that I really need to figure out how I can do that at home! read more

Initial room was in in terrible shape with dirty linens in the cabinet under the tv and What looked like blood stains on the curtains and lamp shade. Sliding door was open and the room was very warm. All was made up for with the absolutely wonderful service from David at the front desk. He immediately changed our room and was attentive to our needs. David was the shining star during an otherwise frustrating room experience and should be recognized for his top notch customer service. read more

Not a good value for the money. 1. You have to pay for breakfast 2 Microwave in the hotel 3. No fridge in hotel. Great staff, Clean environment, buf come on NO free breakfast its ridiculous you even have to pay for a muffin. If your a celebrity or ceo with a cash flow then sure it good fir you, But I'll never stay at this brand of hotel again. read more

Good location for a hotel, it's a touch outdated so I assume they will be renovating the rooms in the next couple of years. Parking is kind of a bear, there are some spots right next to the hotel, but most of the parking is behind the hotel in a parking garage-which is free thankfully. Staff was all very helpful, elevators are a chore if you on any floor but one. The pool area is nicely kept, shade is on the pool most of the afternoon. They do not upkeep the towels for the pool, when I went inside to get towels bc none were outside they said it would be 20 min, j laid out for forth plus, no towels were ever brought out. Unfortunate...they offered to get me a normal room towel and they couldn't find any of those either. How that's possible, I don't know. Internet is good, had no issues at all. They offer points if you decline housekeeping. Your typical Marriott ( courtyard) set up with the bistro. I would stay again just because the location is pretty darn good, walking distance to shopping, Whole Foods, juicers etc. read more

This hotel is great and situated in an ideal location near the Biltmore Fashion Park, the Camelback Colonnade and Town and Country Shopping Center. This is the perfect spot if you are either a casual traveler or business traveler because of the price and location. The service was great and the rooms are well kept. It's located inside the same area of the Town Country Shopping Center so it makes it convenient to any guest at the hotel. They even have a business center with free/included internet access, which came in very handy for me. There's a large pool in the main courtyard and a jacuzzi as well. read more

Nice hotel close to a lot of restaurants and shopping where you don't need your car. ( in a shopping center of lots of places around-you can walk around which we enjoyed to be able to do) We stayed here a few weeks ago and it was very clean & pleasant. We would stay again when in the area. read more

Staff was nice. Low Priced Very clean! We played "Hotel Impossible" and pretended we were Anthony Melchiorri.. .the place was SPOTLESS - even on top of the picture frames on the wall! Centrally located - tons of places to walk to. Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Nordstroms Rack, Blimpies, Dunkin Donuts, etc... all in the same parking lot. Short drive to GCU campus We forgot our toothbrushes and toothpaste and the front desk hooked us up with complimentary ones. No free breakfast of any sort, but there's tons of places to eat within a 2-10min walk. I gave it a 4 star because I'm used to Residence Inn and it's definitely not the same, but it was okay and I'd stay again if needed to. read more

Pros: Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, Friendly check in, Clean rooms, Covered parking next to the hotel, Comfortable bed, Nice courtyard with pool, microwave and mini fridge in room. Cons: Hard to find. It's not right on the road. It's tucked back in the corner of the strip mall. Wouldn't hesitate to come back. read more

Tucked in the back at a strip mall in a congested area, this place is surprisingly quiet. Area has gotten more congested since I had last been here 7 years ago. Friendly front desk clerk, room was ok (but clean), and beds were very comfy. Coffee wasn't fully stocked though, and there was an open tea bag as well. Didn't give it 5 stars because of that as well as it's an older hotel, but it is centrally located to many businesses and restaurants in the area. read more

I really like this hotel. 24 gym. Around 15 mins drive from sky harbour airport rental car center. Strong AC. Pool is nice. Free parking outside with no need to register car. Beds and pillows are great. Free toiletries are nice. Only dinged one star for lack of in room safe. Otherwise a very good experience! read more

Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Camelback - Hotels Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

***This Courtyard is very similar to a lot of the Courtyards out there, which is a good thing, but it does not stand out in many ways with the exception of their very reasonable room rates on weekends*** Courtyard Marriotts are very similar state to state. They are typically in suburban areas and usually feature a 24-hr fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi and complimentary parking. They also usually have the same exterior and a three to four floor structure. The outdoor courtyard is also pretty similar no matter what Courtyard you are staying at. This Courtyard has all of these characteristics. Where Courtyards can be different is in the lobby. Most Courtyards (including this one) have converted over to the new Courtyard modern lobby and bistro concept with a variety of seating from communal tables to regular tables and pods/booths. There are lots of power outlets to make this hotel convenient for business travelers. Courtyard rooms tend to only be slightly different property to property. The decor tends to be simple and modern but still clean and comfortable. The nicer and more up-to-date Courtyards may have attractive red bed scarfs (this hotel didn't). The room was comfortable and clean enough though. The shower was good too. The A/C unit was an older unit, but if you get their auto temperature working fine, the room is cool enough, which is necessary given the very hot weather in Phoenix. There were times though when I did wish the room was cooler. Service was fine. It was friendly but not as friendly as you get at a lot of Courtyards. Room rates are very good here. Maybe it is because this Courtyard is a 10-minute drive to Downtown Phoenix or that hotel room rates in Phoenix area hotels are just less expensive than equivalent hotels in other big cities (it seemed that Phoenix hotels from Courtyards to full service Marriotts were all very reasonably priced). A weekend stay here is definitely much less expensive than similar hotels in Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, or San Jose. This Courtyard is a perfectly fine Courtyard. It is a very reasonably priced hotel so it makes a great option when staying in Phoenix since it is not that long of a drive to get to key Phoenix attractions. Given though that many Marriott brand hotels in the Phoenix area are reasonably priced, you may want to consider staying at a more frills full service hotel like the Renaissance and Marriott or options closer to Downtown Phoenix. As mentioned, parking is complimentary. It is easy finding an open space. read more

Disgusting! The bathroom STINKS! I go to the front desk and they give me a different room. Great. Bathroom doesn't stink but now I'm directly above the pool/children's playground. I thought Marriott was a reputable brand but apparently, even in the age of covid19, cleaning is not a priority. I won't be back! read more

Very good choice for an inexpensive stay near my friend's super ritzy resort wedding. When I saw that the $500/night resort wedding venue had wedding rates of ~$229, I was like...eh...maybe if I were making lawyer money still, heh. But not now. Instead, I chose to stay at this Courtyard, which is about 4 minutes away and was less than half that price. I thought it was worth the price paid, and the bed was SUPER comfortable. The lobby was clean and modern, and the staff with whom I spoke at check-in and throughout the stay was very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty far from the elevator, but once we understood the different entry points, it wasn't a big deal because it actually was closest to the parking area (and the secondary elevator near there). The room was spacious enough, and the beds, as I mentioned, were very comfortable. There are plenty of plugs and work space available, and the free wifi was reliable and quick. The AC unit is rather noisy, so we were lucky enough that it wasn't hot to the point of needing to use the AC overnight. A couple of things I'd change: (1) provide lotion among the toiletries (because it's freaking Arizona and dry as um...Arizona!) and (2) have a fan in the bathrooms. Otherwise, for the price, I definitely thought this place was worth it. The location is a little hidden (just look for the signs pointing the way), but ultimately it was beneficial because it's near grocery stores and restaurants. The pool is open late (until 11PM), and it was a refreshing way to end the day. Recommended for affordable accommodations if you're looking for something in this area. read more

People here have posted that this hotel is out of the way but I kind of liked the location. It was near great shopping and near an awesome restaurant called Snooze Eatery - breakfast all day! I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The staff make up for everything. read more

Good hotel in the middle of the Camelback strip. Easy access to lots of good restaurants and bars, definitely more lively than the downtown area afterdark. Courtyard offers the basics, including free internet, and a pool. Lots of parking, low key environment, i.e., definitely not the place for spring breakers and party people (and thats the way I prefer it!) Definitely a step up compared to a lower end motel. read more

There is a construction around the hotel so your shoes will get dirty pretty quick if you want to talk out. Checked in here twice, two consecutive days. Rooms are very clean and staff is nice and helpful. Gotta love free hotel parking, too! We enjoyed being able to walk to stores and restaurants from the hotel. That made dining and snacking very easy. Great restaurants within walking distance. The only disappointments were the state of the pool (doesn't appear to be very clean) and finding out the breakfast was not free! The location is a bit awkward, sort of tucked away from the street within the shopping center, but the nearby businesses make up for that! read more

Nice and quiet area. I stayed for one night. Used the work out room, that was lovely. I also used the pool and that was awesome too. The room was clean and everything else seem to be working. The bistro seem like a great place to get breakfast. (The young man working there gave me some recommendations about the city.) I would recommend the chai tea latte. Did not have a chance to eat there but guests seem to like the food. The night auditor was helpful and nice. This place was great and relaxing. When I'm Arizona will come back here. read more

I liked it. Great clean room, and bathroom. Didn't like that the bathroom had no fan in it. Good Soap provided. Refrigerator delivered upon request. Good lighting. Spacious closet for my suits to hang in. Quiet hotel, couldn't hear neighbors. They have HBO. Love how convenient all the restaurants are around me. Cafe Rio, 5 Guys, Potbelly, Chilli's, The Parlor (Great Italian food). Shopping; Trader Joe's, Best Buy, Book stores. I would return here. read more

We called ahead to see if we could check in early at 2:00 rather than the customary 3:00pm check in. Unfortunately, they could not accommodate our request and said the room would be available at 3:30. We arrived at 2:20 and we were told the room wouldn't be ready till 4. We'll 4 came and went and we went to dinner at 5. The room was finally ready when we got back. Overall, the staff was clueless. The room was dated and there are better choices out there. We were driving cross country and stayed at three Drury Inn And Suites along our way from Richmond, VA. Not only are the suites larger and newer, they offered breakfast and dinner along free cocktails. To your management. Train your people better. They are clueless and don't possess the customer service skills to do there job correctly. read more

As far as rooms and facilities, this Marriot is exactly what I expected. The rooms were very clean, there is a cafe in the lobby, and they have a nice patio. What stood out at this particular facility is how friendly everyone was. The front desk, cafe employees, and housekeepers were all very friendly, professional, and efficient. I was always greeted and welcomed on my return, the front desk clerk went out of her way to serve me from the cafe when I had missed the closing time by 5 minutes, and the gentleman working at the cafe made sure my fruit cup had fresh fruit. It is a strangely located hotel in that it is in a strip mall. If you're a bargain shopper the fact that it is DIRECTLY next door to Nordstrom Rack may be a bonus. There is also a Mexican fast food place, Pot Belly, Five Guys, and a Trader Joe's in the same strip mall. read more

This place is bizarre. Many great qualities alongside not so good ones, hence my middle of the road 3 star rating. First of all the location... it is in what can only be described as a strip mall, in the back of the parking lot. If you are looking for a landmark to spot it, be on the lookout for the restaurant Twin Peaks (whole other story... it is not named after two mountain tops as the logo suggests). When you walk in, the lobby has a modern, clean updated feel with a great little cafe that serves starbucks coffee and also alcoholic beverages. There is no room service so at least there is something that serves good food and drinks easily accessible. In the room, I was pleased to see that there are electrical outlets very clearly accessible on the wall above the nightstand. Finally a hotel that understands people charge their cell phones overnight and keep them next to them while they sleep... what a concept! I am normally THAT person who pulls out the nightstand and unplugs everything from the outlet behind it so I can plug my phone in. Nice not to have to do that. I thought the amenities were sub-par. For one, there was no lotion. What? Small bottles of Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner but no lotion. IT IS FREAKING ARIZONA where if you don't moisturize your skin will basically just fall off. In all fairness I did not call the front desk to ask for it. But in my opinion I should not have to ask. I appreciated that there was a fridge but it emitted a very strange odor. I couldn't quite place it but it just smelled off. The hair dryer barely put out any heat or force so it took forever to dry my hair. There was no rack to put your luggage on. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan. The thermostat had to be wrong. We had to set it to 65 degrees so it was comfortable but there is no way the air temperature was actually 65 degrees. I did not go to the gym but I was told there was 1 machine. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable with what felt like a tempurpedic top. Even though the location was bizarre it did come in handy to have so many shops and food options within walking distance. I traveled here on business so I did not have to pay the hotel out of pocket. If I did, I would not choose to stay here again. read more

Probably the worst night's sleep ever in the hundreds of hotels I've stayed at over the years. The bed feels like I'm sinking into it and has little support. The pillows are huge and are hard as rocks so bring your own if you expect to be comfortable. This place initially looks nice and the staff is friendly but the rooms itself is horrible. Our room had two beds. There was a funky smell in the fridge area. The air conditioning was either too hot or too cold. The wall by the television had red stains on it and worst of all we saw five cockroaches in the room. One fell on a family member while they were lying on the bed. One walked up the wall by the bed. Two were by the bathroom and one came out of the other room next door. And this was only what I saw so imagine what we didn't see. We only stayed because it was close to graduation. We slept there one night and stayed with friends on the other night due to the deplorable conditions. When we checked out the front guy said he was not normal staff and that he would have someone call us about this and it's been a week and no call. I added pictures I took to show as proof.
