I had moved away back to Canada for a family emergency and received a few letters that I needed in Canada to prove residency etc... Alan said he was taken to court because a art scam at his new store from California where I was calling from, but all he needed was to call the old owner instead of causing me MANY problems with his lies! Marlyn sold the place and the new owners are deceptive and can't rely on forwarding the VERY important mail to me as she did for years. The manager ALAN from New York took my letters home and misplaced them, is what he said Then I kept calling him and only lies. I would not trust these new owners with my mail or packages... Prices are a complete rip off. I dropped off a ready to mail USPS priority mail envelope, flat rate…read moreenvelope 12.5"x9.5". I just needed the flat rate postage. At the US Post office it is $9.85. The woman behind the counter charged me $17.71. When I asked if there was a mistake the woman behind the counter said post office rates have gone up. I said I sent one of these at the post office last year and it was less than $10. She said "no this is the current rate". I was in a hurry so I paid and left. Once I returned home I looked up the post office rate online and it is $9.95. I called and when I asked her about the markup that they have, she rudely said with an attitude "we are not the post office". I said "do you have a rate sheet so I know what I would be charged in the future if I brought another envelope?" She said "no, it is whatever comes up in the computer, I just work here. Complain to the manager." The envelope was already sealed and addressed, it just needed a priority mail postage. The way the price was presented to me was deceptive. I could understand if they charged a small fee or if they had to pack up an item and charge for that, but this was just a rip off. The woman behind the counter could have easily said that the price they charge has nothing to do with the price the post office charges. Instead she blamed the high cost on the USPS recently raising rates. Lesson learned, I will not be using A1A "rip off" Pack and Ship at Driftwood Plaza, 3830 S. HWY A1A Suite 4, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951 Tel. # 321-726-1667 for anything going forward. Do yourself a favor and avoid A1A pack and rip off. Go to a genuine UPS, USPS, Staples or some other place that has an honest and transparent pricing policy!

Almost ALL Post Office employees are bullied and demeaned by their supervisors for not working fast…read moreenough. Fact. This fosters mistakes, mistake, mistakes.
