It was an unexpected but very pleasant surprise. It's summer, so my car has been picking up a lot of bugs. Ew. So I decided to hit the car wash to see if I could knock some of the gunk off. It's a pretty standard gas station car wash, so my expectations weren't super high. Be aware: The line for a wash was long. Each car took about ten minutes to go through, and once in the queue, there's no way out. If you're in a rush, plan carefully. The nice thing is that the receipt allows you to use your prepaid code for about a month, so you can come back. Once in the car wash, it was a pretty average experience. The soap smelled like bubblegum toothpaste. Not bad, but noticeable. The washer flap things did move my side mirrors around, but nothing was damaged. Cons: The drying cycle was entirely too short. Not even the windshield got dry. My car also wasn't super clean - I had to go back over a lot of spots with a rag. They lifted easily, so that was a bit annoying, but again, I wasn't expecting perfection from this car wash. Pros: It did knock most of the dirt off and got rid of maybe 70% of the bug debris. If you're wanting your car to be super detailed, I'd spend a little more money and go to a hand wash place. But if you just want a quick tidy up, this was fine.
