Do not come here to get gas! This is the only place i stopped at to use my card for gas on the way from Vegas to LA and had my credit card number stolen at the pump. Per my bank, the card was swiped so the pumps must have had a credit card skimmer installed. Be cautious!! read more

This is always a pit stop for my friends and me whenever we head to Vegas. The Country Store is notorious for how many winning lotto tickets they have printed. Some people like to think that the place is lucky. I think the fact that it's renown for printing out winning tickets just attracts more customers. With more customers, there's a greater chance for printing out a winner. Why am I trying to rationalize lottery winning? Because I'm bitter. This has become a regular pit stop when traveling up or down Interstate 15 between So Cal and Las Vegas. It used to be Starbucks, but that has long since closed. The staff is always friendly, the restrooms are clean and it is always a quick in and out. They feature Farmer Brothers coffee, which I have never been a huge fan of, but this time around it was actually quite good. I think FB must have a new blend. They carry a wide variety of snacks, candy and beef jerky along with the standard faire as far as beverages go, plus their unique selection of specialty bottled soda pop. They also offer gasoline, but at "Baker" prices, so fill up in Vegas or Barstow. Don't forget the lottery tickets. This place never disappoints. We travel to Vegas often and stop here to go to the restroom, grab snacks and lotto tickets. The restrooms are fairly clean considering the amount of usage they get. The store is always well stocked and a bit pricey, but everything in Baker is. It's right off of the second Baker exit too, so no need to take the looooong exit going South or North on the 15. read more

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the call to fame of the Country Store - aka Wills Fargo Country Store. It boasts the claim as one of the top luckiest Lotto stores in the state. To date they have had 5 jackpot winners. We always stop by here to get some SuperLotto or MegaMillions tickets - you never know! read more

This has been the "Go To" store for 6 - 8 years because it has a 76 gas station. But the real reason we come is because my mom loves buying lottery tickets! She swears she wins something every time (but its not true lol). We have to stop whether we are coming or going to Las Vegas. Its the only stop we make so even without my parents its a must that I stop at least once on our trip because my mom got my boyfriend hooked on the lottery tickets. I never felt the need to write a review though because it was just an ordinary store to use the restroom and get snacks. All that changed yesterday! I cannot wait to go back to Vegas!!! They added an ice cream shop next to the lottery ticket machine!!!! I got a vanilla ice cream in a NUTELLA waffle cone!!! Yes, nutella inside the cone all the way in the sharks tail. I wish it would have been where the ice cream was at but it was still very tasty. The cone isnt crunchy but rather soft and as my boyfriend described it, like a "pancake" but not too soft because it holds the ice cream. I have never had anything like it! Even with this very cold weather i would take an ice cream over coffee!! You have to try it at least once! Maybe you'll like it as much as me or maybe you'll hate it but you wont know unless you try it! ;) read more

Always the best half way stop for me when going to Vegas! Specially for Lotto tickets!

Love this store! I made the trip to this store from Vegas for the billion dollar powerball. I decided to bypass the closer Primm store because of the unbelievable line I saw while driving pass and also from friends telling me it was a five hour wait at Primm -How that happens, I am at a loss for ideas. I am making the country store my go to California lottery store! Clean store friendly employees and got me in and out within a half hour during the biggest lottery ticket buying frenzy ever!! Go here Las Vegans, and leave Primm and its closing-the-doors-on-you-while-in-line far far behind! read more

Place is definitely a novelty stop! They got all sorts of cool sodas with, zombies, vampires, wrestlers, etc. But I gotta say their best stop is their ice cream bar, it's pretty bomb! Rude. I went in no greeting. I went in for Dole Whip soft serve no one acknowledged me. The sign said open and finally the older lady said they're closed. The younger women just stared rudely. The store was nice but service makes everything so only one star. Glad it was a one time thing and I was just passing through. read more

Lottery players cashing tickets beware here and everywhere! At this store (and everywhere) always check your tickets at the small lotto scanner on the left side of the cashier counter as you enter the door, not easy to see and know your pay out before you go to the counter. I did that and had two winners one for 10 dollars and one for 17 dollars. I took them to the cashier who scans them in their system, however you cannot see the scanning except, if you pay attention to the lotto screen facing you, as with all these lotto screens, you will see the amount in the bottom right corner. The attendant tried to give me $17 instead of $27, I pointed at the scan screen and said $27. The attendant said "oh how did I miss that", yeah right, how? I suspect if you hand over your tickets not knowing much they are worth and are distracted you may never know. There was an attempt to distract me during the transaction, too. Just know that you need to know the amount before you hand over your tickets. I will not mention the name of the cashier except the name on (her/his) shirt starts with an R. I know all this is common sense, but this was NOT an innocent mistake. I believe there is something going on here with cashing out lotto tickets. This was my first trip to this store and my last! read more

This is a one (horse) street town, Baker Blvd. That's it baby! As one of the only markets in town, it offers fair prices and a wide variety of products and food items. Gas is available, so it could literally be your one-stop shop in this here town! Friendly customer service as well. read more
