Just watched several employees walk in with no masks. People are watching and do care
Debra B.

Sign in the window says, masks required to enter. Watch 3 employees walk in with no face covering. I am a RN visiting from out of state and my parents are very high risk. Practice what you preach.

Domino and Nola looking they're best.

We've been going to CPS for 20 years for dog food and grooming. Missi, the groomer, is the best.

“When Missi gets booked up (which is a good thing), we work out appointment alternatives so I don't have to embarrass my dogs with giving them bad haircuts myself.”

Bridge The Bark - Dog Training - Peppy!

Bridge The Bark - Dog Training

We got our puppy early in the pandemic. From the time she was 9 weeks old we brought in a 1:1…read moretrainer every 2-3 weeks as well as attended group classes in positive reinforcement training at a very reputable school since we were first time dog owners. When she was 8 months old and in the throes of adolescence I trusted my gut that we needed to find the right fit for us in a trainer. Despite all we had learned in group classes and with various trainers she still pulled a lot on leash, we wanted more accountability to prevent separation anxiety since we both worked from home, and certain behaviors were increasing like alert barking and disengaging in our training sessions. We found Eric because he came highly recommended by a separation anxiety specialist. What really separated Eric's style from what we'd received so far is seeing the whole picture based on breed, personality of the dog and what they find reinforcing, extensive experience with local resources, enrichment tailored for who your dog is, and a style of teaching that was enthusiastic, warm, and emphathic. Eric keeps up to date with science in dog psychology & training. This is so important in a world that in unregulated. His mastery of the art and science of dog training is incredible, and it rests on a foundation of immense compassion and care for the dogs and families he works with. From the first session I experienced a huge exhale knowing we were finally in the right hands. Fast forward to today our now 16 month old dog can walk with 2 light fingers on her leash, clipped onto the back attachment of her harness. If she sees a squirrel, bunny, or other dog along our walk, she looks to us for guidance rather than impulsively pull towards it as she once did. We were given structured homework for home alone practice and she now just sleeps when we're away for hours. Her recall is impeccable due to Eric's fun and deft training games, and us following through with practice between sessions. We love hiking and were so happy that Eric is a passionate outdoorsperson too which meant he could teach us to train our puppy for exploring the backcountry safely for her and others in a myriad of ways. We can now read dog body language to keep play safe and fun, and know how to handle encounters with other dogs on and off leash. We know how to meet her specific needs for exercise and enrichment. We have learned about cooperative care for things like nail trims and how listening and respecting the pace and communication of your dog can pay off in spades in terms of relationship and less stress when handled. Notably, our journey through adolescence with her was so much easier because of his guidance. In these pandemic times, life is already stressful enough. (being science-based means he follows great Covid safety protocols) Eric has been a rock of support and help in navigating the complex and sometimes confusing world of raising a puppy. Finding Eric as our trainer was one of the best things that happened in 2020, some light in a dark year. We continue our training as we keep learning every session and our dog keeps growing. Dog training has become a fun and creative endeavor. The reward is a happy and fulfilled dog, a relationship of trust based on deep understanding, and the resulting impact on everyone in the home. Eric is a reliable, professional, highly knowledgable, caring force-free trainer. Highly recommend!

Rather than focusing on training the dog himself, he teaches YOU how best to work with your dog to get the results you are seeking! And i really feel that he gets to know your dog and how it communicates and behaves and works based on that, instead of having a one size fits all approach. I really can't say enough how much i appreciate and believe in how he works , and i am SO thankful. Peppy was a very anxious rescue when i got him, and with some super simple exercises and trust built through Eric's methods, im now giving him haircuts and working up to nail trims, his recall was non existent before and now he comes right away most of the time, and he even was able to do a couple flights with me with minimal issues. A+++++ service!! Thank you Bridge the Bark!!!

Einat, the owner, is very responsive and clearly cares about both her customers and her employees--and it shows in the quality of their service. Charlie typically had the same walkers at the same time each week. They were all professional, caring, attentive, and TRUE dog lovers! I loved Strut the Pup's daily walk reports and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing he was being well taken care of while I was at work. On a few occasions when I was working from home, I watched as his regular walker arrived--Charlie would be waiting at the window and greeted them with full-body wags every time. When Charlie's hips started bothering him as he got older, the team helped me adjust his walks so he could continue enjoying his outdoor adventures. Sadly, Charlie has since passed, but I've saved many of the walk-report photos his walkers took (like this one), and they remain some of my favorite pictures of him. Thank you, Einat and team, for taking such wonderful care of Charlie.

My dogs walked with several team members over time, from puppy care daily walks to twice weekly walks as adults. The walkers have all been very kind and worked well with our dogs. I appreciate their updates and photos after each walk. It is very easy to schedule and to modify service as needed based on your schedule. They are responsive, professional, and truly care about their clients. I highly recommend strut the pup and will use this service again.

I take care of my parents' 20+ year old African Grey when they are out of town (which is a lot, since they own a RV). My parents live in Port Orchard and have used Todd various times at POPP before, but I had no direct experience with him or his shop until recently. I left the bird with Todd to be boarded for just over a week. I brought food, but didn't need to. I did bring some toys out of her cage per Todd's recommendation. He took care of the rest. As far as the shop goes, he has a great selection of the Volkmann bird seed which is not only a very good seed, but the only one that our Grey happens to eat (she eats a variety of human food too). When I picked up the bird and took her home, she seemed happy and healthy, and immediately settled into her routine at my house as soon as we got home. Based on the high level of care I witnessed from boarding, I wouldn't hesitate to use Todd for any of the other services offered--and I will certainly be boarding with him again in the future.
