A father and his 2 children came in. He left his daughter, who I assume was somewhere on the spectrum alone at a table, while he and his son spent at least 10-15 minutes at a kiosk. I, too, have a child with Autism, so I had empathy as long as I'm could. His daughter made sounds (ticks?) that got louder and louder. He didn't go to her or even look at her once. She, at one point, shook her hair repeatedly. Still nothing. By this point, dad was in another part of the store and on the phone. My meal was ruined... I went up to the man and asked him to please pay attention to his daughter. The owner glared at me, and the father yelled at me. I will never go back there. Ever.

The shop is set in a funky old New England mill space that perfectly matches what they do: warm, a little rustic, and full of charm. It feels authentic right away, like everything coming out of the kitchen is made with care and intention. The pies are the main event, and they absolutely deliver. I went in specifically for a large blueberry pie to serve at our Easter brunch, and I'm absolutely confident it won't disappoint. Of course, I couldn't stop there--I also picked up a few of the personal 5" pies to stash in the freezer, which feels like a very smart decision for future dessert emergencies The ready-to-eat baked goods are just as worth your attention, but you have to time it right--they sell out fast. I managed to grab a lemon raspberry scone for the drive home, and I think it's my favorite scone now. Perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and exactly what you want from a great scone. Between the quality, the setting, and the variety, this is the kind of place that works just as well for a holiday centerpiece as it does for a spontaneous stop. I'm glad it's not closer to home though--it would be very hard to achieve my desired weight goals it if were. Just be sure to go early if you want the best selection of ready to eat goods.

The workers were so kind and you can tell they take pride in their job making customers happy. Also love the after 2 to close offer they have for $2 medium coffees and $3 refreshers which is such an insane deal. Not to mentioned CT doesn't even have this blueberry cobbler yet and asked for the last one and gave it to me on the house. Also flavored my ice coffee more with my pumpkin sweetener. Thanks again for your kindness and will for sure return when I'm in the Walpole area again.

If you were looking for a quick coffee or bagel or sandwich, this is not a bad option. I am impressed with the staff who works here. They are efficient, and the wait is never very long. They are also incredibly friendly, and they are always talking with their customers in a jovial manner. The girls they have working there are also not painful to look at... Which definitely is an added bonus. Being a Honey Dew inside a convenience store, there is really not much area to spread out and sit down and eat, but that's also not the point. Just don't expect to sit down and have a leisurely meal. The parking in this lot can be very tight, and it is a bit stressful. They do have a drive-through, but be careful with parking, as there are always people pulling in and out, even on the surrounding streets. Overall, this is a nice place to stop if you need a quick bite or cup of coffee. It's also a nice alternative to Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks. I actually really like their coffee, and it has a nice flavor compared to those two places.
