Quick. Easy. No soup nazis. Good menu. You can't go wrong ordering the Rhode Island Red chowda. Same building as Ship Bottom Brewery.

Country Kettle Chowda has been a staple of Long Beach Island for many years. The signature chowder can be ordered in a cup or with a bread bowl. There are several soups to choose from as well as a soup of the day menu. There's seating indoors and out. The soup is ready to go as soon as you order. The chowder was freshly made with alot of herbs. I didn't think the bread and chowder matched perfectly. Maybe the bread could have been more yeasty. It was a bit disappointing to see Styrofoam still used as the plate. I think its great to have the soup bowl on something rigid but perhaps a more eco friendly product could be used in the future.

I love stopping in here whenever I'm in the area! Country Kettle Chowda has been in the business for as long as I can remember, and they're easily the best at what they do in the area. The New England clam chowder is probably my favorite and most consistent of their chowder varieties, but I really love the fact that you can mix some of their options together (e.g. the clam chowder and lobster bisque) for even some more delicious variety! Their bread bowls here are also great, but one cup of this chowder is usually plenty for me. The staff are also very kind and service is always quick here. Wish they had more seating available, but if the weather is nice I love eating this by the water.

This spot is an LBI staple you cannot pass up! If you have a somewhat chilly day on your vacation or it's simply not a nice beach day, chowda (or lobster bisque) will make your day way better. I dream about this stuff during the off season. Get a bread bowl for an even better experience!

One of my absolute favorite!! I think this is true for so many others too! Whenever I'm on Long Beach Island I always like to bring some home with me cause it feels like bringing some of the shore home with you. Enjoyed it as usual. No brainer!!

We decided to take a drive to Long Beach Island and get some chatter at our favorite place @countrykettlechowda. It's a tiny place and take out only, but there are a few tables nearby outside to sit and eat at. They make a few different kinds of soup, but their clam chowder and lobster bisque are by far the best, especially when served in a bread bowl. It's even better that they are open during the off-season when LBI is empty and peaceful so we can keep getting their delicious soup during the winter months. Can't wait to return

This little place is simply amazing. Slightly pricy but you get what you pay for. Knocks it out of the park every time. We got the New England Clam and Lobster Bisque, both 10/10. Rich, creamy, delicious and piping hot. We stop in every time we're on LBI.

The service is very quick and efficient, kind workers. Not very many places to sit but it is in a very small alleyway so I'll give them credit. Absolutely some of the best chowder you'll have outside of New England with a phenomenal option of a bread bowl. Overall a very solid place for some soup.

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and kids for lunch. We had noticed signs around the area for country kettle chowda and let's be honest, who doesn't love a good chowder near the beach. So whenever lunch time came around we decided to get some. This restaurant is actually quite tiny and is located in Bay Village in Beach Haven. The inside consists of people taking your orders and then a couple of vats of their different soups. For my soup on this day, I decided to go with the New England clam chowder while my wife went with the lobster bisque. It was ready quickly and we headed over to the Taylor Avenue Waterfront to eat. The chowder itself ended being pretty good as it had a creamy base. Then there were lots of potatoes in it and it had a nice clam flavor as well. My wife thought her lobster bisque was really good as it had large chunks of lobster in it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both enjoyed our soups and I would love to have one in a bread bowl.

Must go if you're on LBI- went again yesterday- nothing like it- got the NE bread bowl- so good my wife and I took home cups of the NE and lobster bisque to eat today!

If you love chowder, this should be a must stop location for you. This no frills chowder hut is some of the best in the area. Their New England chowder is honestly some of the best I've ever had. Creamy but not too rich and packed with flavor, it would be a sin to skip out on this. Get it in a bread bowl and it's plenty to share! Who could resist the crusty bread and chowder combo. And don't be deterred with its cold out, you can easily get everything to go!

Full transparency - I've actually never eaten the chowder here. BUT - I have been coming to Country Kettle Chowda since I was a young kid, and their gazpacho is one of my favorite foods. Like...of all foods. I crave it during the year, and it really feels like summer when I am eating gazpacho from Country Kettle Chowda. It's light and refreshing with just a touch of spice from the jalapeño, I love that it's on the thicker side and not too liquidy. It's basically salsa meets vegetable soup...in the best way possible. Plus, the little storefront is so cute, nestled in a back alley of Bay Village. 5/5

The best clam chowder I've ever had. Make sure you get the full experience with the bread bowl. I also tried their lobster bisque and it was fire.

The New England clam chowder wasn't creamy as advertised and we got couples tinny peace's of clam for the price of the qt was a rip off.

You come here for the seafood and it doesn't disappoint. We had the lobster bake which had a mountain of clams and muscles. It could have used some broth in the bowl to keep from drying out. Lastly, the garlic Dungeness crabs - the menu description is spot on - get dirty with this one. Take the bib and have plenty of napkins on hand! Very garlic forward in a good way.
