We came up from the Chicago area for a nice quiet getaway during the kids' spring break. I was simply looking for a clean hotel with a pool for the kiddos to play. I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities :-) We had a king suite that had a separate sitting room with a pull out couch, mini kitchenette complete with microwave and mini fridge. The description of a "continental" breakfast is NOT accurate, there are so many items available, not just bagels and juice. Each morning there were different items in the hot buffet *(scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, omlettes) along with several different cereal options, bakery items, fresh fruit, I could go on and on. The pool/jacuzzi is clean and actually at comfortable temperatures, and is open late (until midnight) My kids were thrilled with the fresh baked cookies they provide in the lobby and grabbed one each time we passed through. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating. This will definitely be our new destination when looking for a quick getaway in the future. read more

I really like this place. I used to be a Hampton Inn girl. Decided to switch over to Country Inn and suites. It was a good decision. Refrigerator AND microwave IN the room. Country Inn has a nice breakfast area. They also have a nice hot breakfast to get you going in the morning. The room was just the right size. I chose two queen beds. I really like the shades. One you pull down and you can kind of see through it. It blocks people from seeing in. Then you have the option of pulling the other shade down. That one is a blackout shade. I have to say when you get up in the morning, you have no idea what time it is. Nothing to say about the housekeeping. I really don't like the whole new deal with housekeeping since Covid. Most hotels do not clean your room every day like they used to. Country Inn cleans it every third day unless you request otherwise. I decided to opt out of housekeeping altogether. The shining star of Country Inn is Angel at the front desk. She is kind, friendly and genuine. Any special requests I have made she has been able to meet. She is willing to help you with any problem you might have and try to resolve it. As soon as I walked in a he remembered me and called me by name throughout my stay. That made me feel valued. I'm glad I made the switch to Country Inn. I will be a returning customer. read more

Very dissatisfied. Very dirty. Had to bring our own toilet paper after using theirs for two days. Pool area not good at all, appearance of whirlpool cover. Didn't follow through. Manager informed us she would have them clean our room and they never did. read more

Pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of rooms and spaciousness, breakfast variety, open coffee/tea bar all day, free fruit and cookies in lobby, close to highway access, very close to gas station and a variety of restaurants and Target to pick up whatever you may need. The only criticism/feedback I'd give is to upgrade the computer desk chairs in the room. I've stayed on multiple occasions and each time the chair was wobbly/uneven. It didn't make for a comfortable or productive working experience. But the pros far outweigh the cons so that's why I still gave it 5 stars. read more

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Appleton, WI - All the basic essentials included - not bad! - Hotels Near Me - Appleton, Wisconsin

I reserved a king suite with a couch pull-out bed for the three people. The staff member who helped me check-in was friendly and attentive. They asked which floor we wanted. I chose the first floor. We were able to drop our stuff in the room 15 minutes earlier than check-in time. Never hurts to ask if you arrive early since the worst that can happen is they said no. The suite was roomy with two separate sections, one for the pull-out bed and the other for the king-size bed. The bathroom was between the two sections, and faced the kitchen area (fridge, microwave, and coffee maker). If you have never used a pull-out bed, read the instructions provided. I used it and found the set-up was easy. I was worried the pull-out bed would be uncomfortable; however, I fell asleep quickly on it. I must have been super tired. The pillows may has also helped since they were soft and fluffy. The extra blanket served its purpose and kept me warm. Breakfast was good and provided your usual variety: toast, waffle, cereal, eggs, sausage, etc. They also provided soy milk, which I haven't seen offered elsewhere before. It's great they provided a milk alternative, in addition to milk. My mom really enjoyed the breakfast sausage and wanted to know where they brought theirs from. During our stay, the following day, the pool was closed for repair. That was the only bummer about this experience since we wanted to use the pool before checking out. The pool was open the night before until midnight; however, we were too full to go swimming. I would return to this location. Easy check-in and check-out. Friendly staff members. Close to the highway and mall. read more

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weekday nights on a business trip. It's a perfectly fine hotel, and the staff is wonderful. That said, there wasn't anything special that stood out to me, and there was room for improvement. The room was clean, but felt very standard; plastic tub/shower combo with the shower curtain/liner in one. One thing I did enjoy was that they provide you with a loofah. The beds were OK; the mattress wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. The pillows were nice though; they had several different kinds that varied in firmness. I prefer a firm pillow so I appreciated it. The cable choices were fairly limited, and the wifi was fairly average speed-wise. The hotel itself felt very dated. I know that it's just been redone, but it did not feel that way. The carpet, especially the carpet in the hallways looked old, there were a lot of dings in the paint and walls. The hallways were otherwise white and bland. Specifically in my room, my tub had a chip in it and the desk chair seemed broken; it felt extremely wobbly when I sat in it. Breakfast was good, they had a lot of different options, so it's easy to find a selection that fits for pretty much any dietary restriction. The dining area itself was nice and clean, and the staff works to keep it stocked consistently, which was nice. They also kept an area by the elevator stocked with cookies and cold water dispensers. The front desk staff were very accommodating and helpful; they were happy to assist with any questions or requests you had. Overall, I would stay here again. read more

Was really happy with my stay here. The room was clean, and had a couch plus your standard hotel amenities. I should move in, it was bigger than my apartment! lol. Took advantage of the fitness center and could do my usual treadmill workout, and had the perfect view to watch TV while on my walk. The free breakfast was great! The food was hot and didn't taste like it was sitting around for a while. They had sausage patties, scrambled eggs, sausage and gravy, a yogurt bar, waffles, fruit, and cereal. The staff were on top of everything when anything ran low. The dining area was big, so if you're afraid of strangers, you could probably find a spot away from them. The one downside was, the food on tables and floor. It was near the end of their breakfast time, but maybe you need a staff person to focus on cleaning. Oh, check out time is noon. That's nice if you need to sleep in. read more

The hotel is very clean and is dog friendly however it is so HOT everywhere in this hotel I was sweating no matter where I was, the lobby, eating breakfast in the room... the AC would only occasionally cool it down and there was no way to force it on or open a window. I had sweat running down my back the entire stay and there was no way to feel "clean" due to constantly sweating. Would look somewhere else next time. read more

The reason I gave this 3 stars instead of 1 is because the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a good value included with the room (scrambled eggs, sausage links, and lots of cold items). The room smelled like old wet moldy carpet. The pillows were awful; they didn't hold any shape. The ac was either full max fan or none at all. So you either would sweat or freeze middle ground. I couldn't get any sleep because of this. I did not request a new room or mention this to the staff. Great people working there just not a great room. read more

Had a great stay at country inn & suites! Despite being under massive renovations while we were there, it was still well put together, organized and clean. The rooms were clean and beds comfy. There was even a recycling bin, not something you see that often in hotels. It was a snowy cold weekend and we really enjoyed the indoor hot tub and pool area to relax! An endless supply of cookies, coffee, hot tea and cocoa were always available and comforting in the cold weather. The breakfast had a good spread with eggs, sausage, corned beef hash, yogurt, waffles and fruit! All in all a nice stay and we would definitely return! read more

Be warned this hotel under major overhaul. I booked it without knowing this. Thought I should've requested a free cancellation when I arrived and had to walk thru a jungle of construction equipment and yellow tape, but I didn't. I'm hoping the room they put me in was one of the not yet refurbished ones. USB plugs weren't working, no USB plugs by the bed. Carpet was dirty, stubbed my toe on the lifted threshold going into the bathroom. Couldn't get the room to cool down. read more

First time to Appleton and this hotel. Clean, quaint and comfortable. Bathroom is dated but spacious. They have a fridge which is always a plus. Great location as the mall is directly behind the building and you can walk there within 5 minutes. Fresh cookies and coffee available in the lobby and a decent continental breakfast in the morning. I made a waffle and had blueberries on top - it was really good! read more

I arrived last night real late and stinkin' tired. The staff was soooooo nice and got me checked in quick...and even reminded me I could request a wake up call if I needed help waking in the morning (yep, I was that tired!). The facility was okay, but overall these sites really keep guest needs at forefront...definitely the case here. Nice and quiet and even fresh cookies that late at night. You rock!! read more

Country Inn & Suites in Appleton was great. Check in was quick and simple (literally in my room in under 2 minutes). The room was comfortable and clean. I was given a floor option, which I highly appreciate. Their staff was friendly and helpful when I asked about the area. I stayed in room 105 which looked out into a wooded area. This was the real icing on the cake. As a touring comedian, I end up staying in a lot of hotels. Not having to stare out the window onto a sea of rental cars made traveling much more comfortable. Appreciated the spread at the continental breakfast. You can't beat a hotel waffle! Located right near the mall, this hotel is a great choice. Would definitely recommend. read more

Stayed here for a night on the way to Door County. Rooms and overall hotel were extremely clean, staff was friendly. Took the kids to the pool - it was huge, temp was perfect and we were the only ones in there. For a free breakfast the burritos were pretty good. We ended up in a one bedroom suite - it was huge and great deal for the price. read more

This trip, I actually had time to get in the pool and swim a few laps after work. It was great to then be able to relax in the pool and then get a run in the next morning. They greet you with cookies so it's good they have an exercise room. Staff as friendly as ever and beds as comfy as ever. Can't say enough good things! read more

I stayed here last week in between gigs in Egg Harbor and Wausau. I was 100% pleased with my stay. The whole entire property was well kept and located in a quiet yet conveniently located area. The hotel is seconds away from a long list of dining and shopping options (less than a mile from the mall). My room was clean and was equipped with a microwave and mini fridge as well as two flat screen TV's and a lovely couch to sprawl out on. I had been traveling for a while so I took a couple hours to check out the pool. One of the nicest hotel pools I've been to. They also had a whirlpool. A stay here also includes a free breakfast, complete with waffles, sausage, eggs, corned beef hash, yogurt with fresh strawberries and nuts...perhaps one of the most uniquely extensive hotel breakfasts I've seen lately. I was very pleased with my stay here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Appleton. read more

I recently stayed at Country Inn & Suites and although it was undergoing heavy renovations during my time there, I still had a comfortable stay. The shuttle service for the hotel picked me up from the airport when I arrived in town. The driver was friendly during the ride and offered to help with luggage. The hotel's front entrance was undergoing a face lift and the entrance was temporarily moved to the side door to avoid all the machinery and construction workers at the main entrance. They have a nice, large pool area complete with jacuzzi and attached is a small work out room. The work out room has 3 treadmills and an all purpose weight lifting machine. It is a smaller space, but you can still manage a good work out. Their breakfast was very nice and had plenty of food options. Omelets and sausage links the first day and fluffy scrambled eggs and sausage patties the next along with their normal spread that included waffles, yogurts, oatmeal, bagels, etc. Their breakfast spread was very enjoyable. The front desk made sure I was picked up and driven to the airport on my final day. Thank you to the staff and I do recommend this hotel to anyone traveling for business or any families looking for a great place to take their kids. read more

We stayed here on our way to Lambeau and would definitely stay here again. The customer service was great and our room was very clean. Even though the hotel was full, we didn't hear any noise during the night. Amenities that we appreciated were the quiet hours, the breakfast, and the bus to Lambeau that the hotel offered for under $40 per person. read more

This was a really nice hotel! We will stay here again. We visit Appleton a lot to see family. We had the King suite which was huge. I got the room on the shoppers special and it was cheaper then some of the other rooms around the area. They have cookies and fruit in the lobby and every morning they put out a really nice little breakfast where you can make your own waffles, they have eggs, sausage or bacon, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, etc. Very nice place to stay and the ladies at the front desk were super friendly!! read more

This was a really nice hotel!! I stayed here two weeks ago. I was surprised at how clean it was and the staff are super friendly. I loved the comfy bed and hot shower, and especially the complimentary coffee, tea, cookies and fruit by the entrance (: The breakfast is also very good and was different! When I stayed they had biscuits and gravy with fried chicken patties and corned beef hash the next morning. It was a nice variety and the food was always hot and fresh. I did not get to try the swimming pool but it looked fun and will need to try it next time. The bookshelf full of books by the elevator also added a nice touch as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Country Inn and would definitely stay here again. read more

Stayed here while I was performing at a college in near-by Osh Kosh and it was worth the extra drive. The lobby was very warm and welcoming and the service was top notch. The room they gave me was huge, with a great office area to get work done. The bed was comfortable the shower worked great and most importantly, it was impeccably clean! I would definitely stay here again if I was going to be in the Appleton area. The continental breakfast was about as good as it gets for hotels and I definitely took advantage of the complimentary cookies they had in the lobby. Five stars and it's not even close! read more
