I'd say parking was the biggest hassle, as checking in and out were easy. Our room was clean, just smaller than we expected. The mini bar with snacks, food and soda would definitely have come in handy in a pinch, and the price list was decent. Having a restaurant/bar on site was also a big perk over other hotels in town. I think the biggest draw for us was CopperLeaf's downtown location, as there were so many things within walking distance.

I booked a room for last Friday- hoping to have a romantic getaway. Unfortunately, my other half was super sick and we couldn't go. I called the hotel Friday morning and asked if I could change the day due to illness. I was out on hold as they asked the manager and I was told no, that there were no changes allowed. I called customer service for best western- they called this hotel and were given the same answer. I travel a lot for a living and I will not stay here. I would not recommend staying here unless you plan to travel when I'll. I was charged $221 for a room I never used. Poor customer service and no empathy. Stay elsewhere

Snack choices in room.

My favorite hotel stop when I travel. There's nothing cookie cutter about it and you can get a room with a fantastic jetted tub. The suites have a fireplace (electric) perfect for cold Wisconsin winters. The fireplace will heat your room up in about 30 seconds. The rooms have an impressively stocked minibar (something for every taste) plus your basic pop to make a mixer. There is an adjacent parking garage, which you will have to walk briefly outside to get to. Not so fun dragging a suitcase through snow in winter but at least your car is covered. The adjacent restaurant Rye is top notch. Make reservations unless you just want a bar seat.

Absolutely love the CopperLeaf! It's been holding down the best downtown Appleton accommodations for over a decade. Rooms are always clean and well furnished with friendly staff. The hotel is often pricier than others in the area but the premium is usually worth it. It is also pet friendly. If timing permits, check out their spa and hotel bar. A parking ramp is attached with pricing that's a bargain!

I loved this hotel. The bathrooms were setup for women with lighted magnified mirrors, makeup towel (always hate getting my makeup on the white towels) and makeup towelettes. Also full mini-bar with snacks. Reception was super friendly and oh by the way...a great restaurant is within the hotel. Price was reasonable and there was a parking ramp next door on the same block.

Mini bar...a little bit if everything at reasonable prices.

This was my first stay here. Very impressed for a small hotel. Very clean and the rooms are nice. Parking garage next door. The Rye restaurant is just off the lobby which is super convenient and has great food. The road noise can be a little loud on a Saturday night and pregame Packers night, but subsides. I would stay here again.

The hotel was okay, but they banged on the door because we were 15 minutes late checking out. The woman was very rude to me.

She was great at answering all of my questions and any last minute fire drills that occurred. We had some guests complain about the rooms - they're a little outdated as is the hotel, but it's right on college avenue and the ballroom is massive which outweighs the outdated rooms. One other thing to keep in mind is the diamond package they offer - although the beer is 'unlimited', if you calculate it out on your own, it's much cheaper to just do kegs and buy them as they go. Overall wonderful experience! Would highly recommend them for any large wedding you are planning.

HAIR, TRASH, GRIME in the room. Stuff LEAKING FROM THE WALLS. I literally wouldn't believe it if I hadn't witnessed it with my own eyes! The pool area was also so gross. Greasy fingerprints on all of the games. Yes they were remodeling, but non of the things we experienced were because of that! SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Also.. We never mentioned our experience to the front desk. The lady working was always on the verge of tears. Upon check-in, even before she greeted us, she told us that she didn't know what she was doing. They were transitioning to a new system and she had no proper training. Management was not supporting staff and she felt completely overwhelmed. So I guess we just didn't want to add to her stress and be the annoying people complaining to her.

I was pleasantly surprised at the amenities :-) We had a king suite that had a separate sitting room with a pull out couch, mini kitchenette complete with microwave and mini fridge. The description of a "continental" breakfast is NOT accurate, there are so many items available, not just bagels and juice. Each morning there were different items in the hot buffet *(scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, omlettes) along with several different cereal options, bakery items, fresh fruit, I could go on and on. The pool/jacuzzi is clean and actually at comfortable temperatures, and is open late (until midnight) My kids were thrilled with the fresh baked cookies they provide in the lobby and grabbed one each time we passed through. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating. This will definitely be our new destination when looking for a quick getaway in the future.

Country Inn has a nice breakfast area. They also have a nice hot breakfast to get you going in the morning. The room was just the right size. I chose two queen beds. I really like the shades. One you pull down and you can kind of see through it. It blocks people from seeing in. Then you have the option of pulling the other shade down. That one is a blackout shade. I have to say when you get up in the morning, you have no idea what time it is. Nothing to say about the housekeeping. I really don't like the whole new deal with housekeeping since Covid. Most hotels do not clean your room every day like they used to. Country Inn cleans it every third day unless you request otherwise. I decided to opt out of housekeeping altogether. The shining star of Country Inn is Angel at the front desk. She is kind, friendly and genuine. Any special requests I have made she has been able to meet. She is willing to help you with any problem you might have and try to resolve it. As soon as I walked in a he remembered me and called me by name throughout my stay. That made me feel valued. I'm glad I made the switch to Country Inn. I will be a returning customer.

It took me COUNTLESS searches and tireless research to finally land on the Clarion. Come reviews are not good, but thought we could give it a chance and see. I received an email about our stay, mentioning check-in and such, but no where did it mention that the bridge right off of the college Ave exit off of Hwy 41 to get here is out and you have to go all the way out of your way (4ish miles) to get around it. For a Friday night in a busy area, they should Ed had two people working the desk. The poor soul working had four of us in line and the phone ringing off the hook. He did a great job with keeping his cool and making sure we were aware of everything that came with our rooms. We booked a king bed-room, and it was great. Yes, there are odds and ends for defects and things that COULD be repaired, but everything worked, bed and pillows were comfy, we got vouchers for a yummy buffet breakfast at the restaurant next door, and the atrium area is a really nice ascetic.
