Em is a great instructor. She is wonderful at breaking up the dance routines into small bites, so everyone can easily learn the dances!

I love that my brain still thinks I can whip out fouettes, when in reality, I'm far from even 50% as flexible as I once was. But finding the right studio is about getting to have fun and dance. I attended a Jazz Funk class at Play Studio and it was so fun! I appreciated that the class was a challenge. This studio is suited for people with dance experience. While there are likely people here training to dance professionally, there are also people who are just here for fun. But, I like that the classes are at a level that create a challenge and keep your brain moving as you move through the choreo. I hate a boring class and this wasn't the least bit boring at all. The class moved quickly! The vibe was good and it feels like there's a nice community here. I love the variety of options they have and I'm excited to try a pom class next. The studio is located on the second floor of the building. Parking in the area is tough. Although the studio has a parking lot, there are very few spots. There are paid spots across the street, but it's tough to find a free spot, so leave yourself some time.

This is such a great spin studio to come to. All of the instructors are fantastic, but my all-time…read morefavorite, Joey teaches classes here. He has such incredible control of his class. His voice is enthusiastic, his direction is clear and his energy is off the charts. The bikes were all upgraded in the past couple years. The studio is sparkling clean. And I do appreciate that they offer earplugs at the front desk, just in case you'd like them, cause it is LOUD in there! A lot of people complain about the parking situation, but there is always parking here. The lot is tight, but there's also an underground parking garage where the spaces are bigger and you can always find a space.

CYCLE BAR @ HILLCREST…read more Parking here is honestly a massacre. It gets extremely busy, especially on weekends. The parking situation just isn't the greatest. There are so many popular spots around CycleBar like Trader Joe's, Oakberry, and other busy restaurants so finding a space can definitely be difficult. But if you keep circling around, you'll eventually find one. I've been to CycleBar a few times before back home in Washington, and I was really excited to try this location for the first time. Unfortunately, my name got mixed up with someone else's and my reservation wasn't showing up on their screen, even though I had it on my phone. But the staff was super nice and got everything sorted out so I could still join the class. They gave me cycling shoes, and I loved that they wrote a cute little note on my locker. The whole vibe of CycleBar is something I've always loved the dark room with the red and purple lighting just feels so energizing. Our instructor was super upbeat and motivating, and I really enjoyed the flow of the class. The only critique I have is that it wasn't as challenging as the classes I've taken before; it felt more like a beginner-level ride. But it was still a great experience overall. I loved the music selection and the energy of the people in the room. Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying CycleBar for your first ride and seeing if it's your vibe. I absolutely love cycling and would continue coming back.

It was our first time taking dance lessons together, and she made the whole experience so much fun. We got to learn some of the basics while also working on a fun choreographed dance. Within just three lessons, we had a dance down that felt like the perfect expression of our relationship and who we are as a couple. Liza also joined us at our wedding reception to lead line dancing, which was such a fun addition to the night! She led our guests in dances to songs like "No Rompas Más Mi Pobre Corazón," along with some Bollywood classics. It was a huge hit and such a great icebreaker for getting everyone out on the dance floor. We're so glad we worked with Liza and would absolutely recommend her!

We were stressed because we only had a few weeks left before our wedding, but they were able to make it work. Liza and mark are amazing choreographers that taught us our full 2 minute dance in 4 sessions. They listened to our song the first day we went in and were able to choreograph 45 seconds on our first lesson off the top of their heads. It's nice having both Liza and Mark there to show us how to do the coupley moves and bounce ideas off each other. They were great at breaking down the dance into easy to digest steps. We are so happy with how our dance turned out. I like that they come up with the entire dance for you but that they are also very open to your ideas too, for example we saw some cute moves on tiktok that they were able to incorporate into our dance. Highly recommend.

This is my daughter's 2nd year at SDCAP. She (4 years old) started taking the pre-dance (Ballet &…read moreTap) class from last year. My main purpose for having my daughter to take this dance class is not only her enjoying dancing but also having her able to follow teacher's instruction and pay attention / listen to what teacher is saying while is not her turn to speak. Mrs. Laura is very patient with children and good at getting their attention as well. My daughter absolutely enjoys dancing at SDCAP and loves Mrs. Laura, she said that she did not want to go any other dance class but Mrs. Laura's. Recently she also started taking pre-drama class after having participated Year2015 spring production of "Wizard of Oz" and played a role as Mini-munchkin. I was so impressed how well the entire production turned out and also what is touched my heart was that my daughter played fairly well, I was concerned about how she would do at the stage as I had have seeing her at practice classes, she did not seem like she was getting it, but from begging to the end, she danced and sang perfectly. At the pre-drama class, I'm hoping that my daughter will gain the ability of speaking clearly and be confident at front of people. I cannot make her stop talking or listen to me when she is with me, but she gets extremely shy speaking at front of people, she mumbles and people don't know what she is saying. At pre-drama class, she has to speak clearly and sometimes requires her to speak her opinion at front of her lesson mates. This is her 2nd months of pre-drama class, but she has been enjoying every class she has taken so far and she seems more confident about herself and comfortable speaking her opinions. and not to mention, Mrs. Laura's tuition is very reasonable and affordable!!

I had my 2 daughters there for several productions. A…read moreDISASTER...! How: 1. Instructors were late MANY times. 2. A couple of times we paid for t-shirts and never received t-shirts "or" refunds. 5. I made the huge mistake of trying to promote this place with my friend/relatives through YouTube videos on Facebook and I got paid by Laura "reporting me" on YouTube ... (if one gets reported 3 times, they cancel your YouTube account), instead of telling me to take out the videos. UNGRATEFUL ! 6. Because of the negative environment and Laura's not being capable of keeping good instructors, tardiness, poor relations and drama, "many" children decided they did not want to continue. Run !!!
