Please keep in mind that this review will be about these classes. I think it's incredibly generous to offer this trial as it allows you to check out several types of dance styles and instructors. They have an app, which I found to be really easy to use. They clearly label which classes are part of the trial and provide confirmation and reminders. The schedule accommodated work schedules and if weekdays were too tight, they had classes on weekends as well. They have 3 studio rooms and they had a person checking people in which could let you know where the class you were taking would be. One studio was large and the other two were about half the size. Each has its own bathroom which was nice. I tried a few Bollywood classes, Latin dance, a barre class and a Tahitian class. While the Bollywood cardio and Latin classes were the most popular, the instructors were all very patient and energetic. The Bollywood cardio class wasn't geared to really teach moves but more for you to follow along as best as you can and hope you get it before the next move. My personal goal is to stay on beat and try to get 60-80% of any class I take which I was easily able to for the classes. There is plenty of parking and the rooms are clean. When I have some discretionary income I'll definitely come back to buy a package so I can keep shaking my groove thang.

I came for the workout but ended up finding SO much more than that- a welcoming community, supportive teachers, lifelong friends, and my passion for dance has been re-ignited. Larisa plans so many fun events to showcase our hard work. There is something for everyone! "Vaudeville Fever" cabaret shows, three recitals each year, holiday parades, performances on stage at Disneyland, Fringe Festival/ Taptastic shows, community events, and so much more. There is never any pressure to participate in the recitals. However, if we end up in a class together I might try to pressure you into it because a lot of people end up discovering how much fun it is to perform on stage! All of the teachers have their unique styles and their classes are all so much fun. I always leave feeling inspired and energized! The unlimited package is a great option if you want to try a variety of tap and other styles of dance classes. I take ballet, tap (technique, broadway, and cardio tap), and sometimes drop in for jazz. $600 for a 16-week session and I took about 150 classes- what a deal! They also allow people to pay for one class at a time, or packages of 4+ classes to use throughout the session. Also you can rent tap shoes for just $3! I did that for my first class and then immediately went home and ordered a pair of my own since I could feel in my bones that this was going to become a big part of my life again (after taking 20 years off from dance). I could go on about how much I love Tap Fever. Being part of this community has truly changed my life and I am so thankful to Larisa, Diane, Chantal, Chelsea, Andrea, and Britt for keeping the classes fun, challenging, and inspiring! You can tell you all pour your hearts and souls into teaching dance! I highly recommend Tap Fever to anyone of any age and any abilities! Teachers are all more than willing to work with you and offer modifications that you might find helpful. No worries if you have never put tap shoes before. My dad came to a cardio tap class and it was his first time wearing tap shoes. He did a great job and was smiling the whole time! No worries, we said we were flexible and could reschedule. She gave us another date and time. Booked it. That very night of the 2nd appointment, she cancelled again. Double booked, she said. Okay, fine, we gave her the benefit of the doubt, even if she didn't even bother apologizing. We said we can reschedule again. She gave us another Monday night. Booked it. That very night of the THIRD appointment, she cancelled again! No explanation this time. It was a very cold "I know I will lose you as a client but I need to cancel again". No apology again. We were done with her after that. Apparently we had given her 3 too many chances. I understand if emergencies happen such as an ankle sprain, but 3 times in a row? Come on. And normally I wouldn't even bother with a Yelp review, but she always cancelled right on the day of the appointment, she made mistakes that could have been avoided (double booking), and worst of all, she never even apologized!! How unprofessional can you get?? And now we're a little over a month away from our wedding with no dance teacher. Thanks for nothing.

It was so invaluable that she came to us, especially with our crazy work schedules and everything else going on with wedding planning during the last few weeks. On the big day, my dress bustle broke so I missed a few steps tripping over my train, but our dance was literally the highlight of our wedding. I suggest letting the check in person know it's your first class so they can guide you (like borrowing knee pads or grabbing a chair for certain classes). Liza and mark are amazing choreographers that taught us our full 2 minute dance in 4 sessions. They listened to our song the first day we went in and were able to choreograph 45 seconds on our first lesson off the top of their heads. It's nice having both Liza and Mark there to show us how to do the coupley moves and bounce ideas off each other. They were great at breaking down the dance into easy to digest steps. We are so happy with how our dance turned out. I like that they come up with the entire dance for you but that they are also very open to your ideas too, for example we saw some cute moves on tiktok that they were able to incorporate into our dance.
