They are a craft distillery + restaurant with a dog friendly outdoor patio. We grabbed a flight of four spirits and it is the perfect way to sample what they do best. Their menu also has cocktails, craft beer, wine, and mocktails. They serve classic American dishes and have a dedicated gluten‑free menu, which is a huge win for anyone with dietary needs. Parts of the patio are shaded, but the front area gets strong sun so keep an extra eye on your pup. The staff will bring out water and if you have one, bring a cooling mat. Great drinks and a dog friendly atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and hang out.

They have a seperate gluten free menu in with their main menu 5/5 The Brussel sprouts appetizer were delicious with plenty of bacon flavor. 3/5 The sweet potato fries while cooked perfect lacked flavor. A hit of olive oil and some parsley would have made them a home run. 4/5 The wings were again cooked well but could have used more sauce. 3/5 Shrimp tacos had two giant pieces of shrimp on them which made them difficult to eat but the flavor was decent

Another person had the mac & cheese with the pulled pork. The wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and they had at least 10 choices for which you could pick from you can't go wrong stopping at this place. The place was clean and had plenty of seating at the bar and in the dining area. Also, there was a outside dining area.

Kudos to her with drinks and noticing that my service was a bit slow. I ordered an average ale and mango Margarita. Which she made sure that my actual server Katie, was aware of my needs. I love the teamwork so I won't harp on how long it took for me to get my food. Three day cheesesteak with side of chipotle bbq- now I'm a lover of cheesesteaks and Roadie Joe's all the same especially since I lived in Salisbury majority of my stay in the shore. So why not stick with my go to classic?? The presentation? but everything else- Hard pass... the sub was meaty GREAT, but it was chewy and there was only a slight taste of flavor as if it literally 3 days stale I tasted meat and the sauce I put in it that's it. Mango margarita, was flavor, not much of a kick but easy on the palette I hate to do my place like this im going to have to come back and give them a second chance. Bonus: I love that they use sport cards as cup placements lets you read while you sip about the golden sport era.

The wild berry peanut butter J.R.E.A.M was surprisingly good, didn't know what to expect from a peanut butter beer but it was delicious. We also tried a bit of their pickle sour and it was definitely different, but strangely drinkable! Our bartender (didn't catch her name) may have been the only one in our section of the brewery, she was doing an amazing job handling the rush of customers!

Luckily, the band was playing outside and none of this impacted our experience inside at the bar. The beertenders were friendly and efficient, especially with how busy Burley Oak was that night. I loved the atmosphere. It was a great venue to spend an evening. It felt like we were on a night out and there was a buzz in the air. Different from another local brewery we enjoy frequenting to relax and soak up some sunshine. We started at one of the hightop tables in the main taproom but moved to the end of the bar after a couple paid their tab and left. Burley Oak typically offers flights and single pours, but there were no flights that night due to the size of the crowd (completely understandable). We still were able to try multiple different beers and styles. I think my favorite was the Brown Butter Apple Pie, which indeed tasted like apple pie--delicious! I also had Sea Heathen, their Lime Lager (wasn't bad but I've had better), and a couple different IPAs. Their taplist featured something for everyone. If you or someone in your party doesn't enjoy beer, Burley Oak also offered mixed drinks, cocktails, and wine. My parents and I of course stuck with beer since we were at a brewery and enjoyed our selections. I also happened to get into conversation with the owner at the bar and he spoke to me like we were regulars. He was very personable, had a great sense of humor, and brought a bunch of energy. It was nice to see someone who was friendly and passionate about their business. We will be back to try more beer during our next stay in Berlin.
