Turkey wing, collard greens, Black Eyed Peas, and cornbread
Denise P.

What a great place for soul food. The service is fast and everything is fresh. I have the smothered turkey wing. OMG still here. The price is very reasonable for what you get. But the best part is the people, great food comes from caring people. As they put it, the food is cooked with love. Go and have yourself a little bit of soul food you'll thank me later.

Well, how excited was I to find this place! I was on my way home and really wanted a home cooked meal (without cooking it). I do not know many places in the leesburg area that sell soul food, so I was surprised to see this pop up on my yelp search. It's a fairly new, small restaurant. The owner/ cook was very friendly and explained all of their weekly specials to me. I ordered the 3-side dinner, which was about $20 after taxes. This included any of the meats (meat loaf, Turkey wings and gravy, fried wings, etc.); I had the 10-piece wings (very good, but on the small side). My sides were tasty, not too over seasoned, but just right... I would have loved more cheese on my Mac-and-cheese (although us southerners over do it at times); yet, I still really enjoyed my meal. I'm looked forward to trying their cheeseburgers and other menu items (the green beans were delicious, and a great 1-side option for the healthy conscious folks). Thanks to the first person who reviewed this place! It made my night to discover a new local spot.

If you want delicious Southern food then proceed to Cotton's Kitchen. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The fried Chicken is to die for if you love chicken.

All I can say is what a hidden gem!!!! Soul food is hard to find and this place def is on point. The building is rather small inside so plan accordingly. The owner is extremely nice and was our server. We ordered the fried pork chops, fried chicken, and kids hotdog meals. We got Mac and cheese, collars, green beans, black eyed peas, potato salad and yellow rice with gravy as sides and everything was amazingly delicious! Please be mindful that they get very busy and since everything is cooked to order it did take about 15-20 food e our food but not was it worth every second of the wait. You need to check this place out.

Craving BBQ and have always wanted to try this spot, came here for an early dinner and was…read moresurprised to see parking lot was fairly busy and serveral tables occupied upon entering. Booth and table seating is available. Large menu to select from, I chose the I Bar B Que plate - Brisket with double Potato Salad. The Brisket was sliced very thin and dry and needed Bar B Que sauce which is on the table. The Potato Salad was very wet and overly sweet. Also ordered the peach cobbler to go ( sorry for got to get pic) but was missing peach slices and very doughy. Service was very good and staff was pleasant however with as many BBQ restaurants in the area it may be a one and done.

Very good BBQ with a friendly wait staff. They came and checked on us several times…read more Large menu to choose from and homemade sides. My friend had a lunch portion of ribs with 2 sides and cornbread. The ribs were HUGE. She had mac and cheese and collard greens and loved both of them. The cornbread was moist also. I had smoked chicken and brisket, dinner portion, with 2 sides. They asked if I wanted white or dark meat. I said white, which was a $2 up charge, which I didn't realize until I got the bill. My chicken was flavorful, but a bit dry. My brisket was good - I'm use to a little fat on it, which adds even more flavor. I had baked beans and collard greens for my sides. I really liked the beans - they have a slightly different taste than I'm use too, in a good way. Not your run of the mill baked beans. The collard greens were melt in your mouth, not bitter at all. They don't have meat in their collards, like I'm use too, but they were still delicious. We also split a fried green tomato appetizer, which was 6 tomato slices. For $12.99. I didn't realize they were that much until we got the bill. They were not greasy at all and quite delicious, but that felt expensive. We both thought that. The lunch prices are in the $13-15 range. Dinners are high teens, low $20s. My food with tip was around $40. They also do catering - my friend learned about them because they catered a party she had attended and wanted to try them in person. Definitely solid BBQ in the Leesburg area.
