And so far...so good. As for the atmosphere and the lovely ladies running the place, it gets 5 stars. I loved walking in and smelling caribbean food in the air, their fresh juices are something to not pass up and the jerk pork and palau was excellent. Its' a well kept, friendly and comfy restaurant. A place I will return to for more food adventures. Next time I'm definitely doing the goat curry. It really is something my heart was yearning for but because it was only my second time, I stuck with the basics and jerk pork it was. I feel like in order to determine how good a restaurant is, is to find out how well they cook the basics. The first time I had a gator burger (don't ask why) that was, well, just ok. I had a chicharrón taco but it wasn't my favorite. Chicharrón is typically crunchy but mine was soggy so I didn't like that. Tortas are my favorite so I am picky. The bread was a little dry, didn't have enough meat and I didn't like that it doesn't come with avocado and jalapeños. However, they included it for us. Now, the quesabirria was really good! It comes with consomé and you have to add the cilantro and onion in there and dip your quesabirria in it! It was great in flavor, cheese and meat! I loved that the consomé (birria broth) was super hot!
