I normally like Cotton Patch cafes but this one has awful service. Ordered for 4, nothing out of the ordinary, and we waited for almost 40 minutes. Waitress attentive, but almost ridiculous how long it took. Food okay but not as good as other Cotton Patch restaurants I have frequented. Then when started to leave, ask for a to go cup of iced tea. All they had were small child cups. How much does it cost to keep a supply of large cups? Did not ask for senior discount as I'm sure the answer would have made it even worse. Excellent service! Everyone was extremely friendly! And, my ribeye was cooked perfectly! Unfortunately, I probably won't be back because they are taking the ribeye off the menu and replacing it with a NY Strip. BIG mistake! The ribeye is a far superior cut of beef and to take it off the menu is not a smart move at all in my opinion. So, I'll probably not be back and if I do come back it won't be for a steak. I'm sure the menu is decided by "corporate" and that bad corporate decision should not be held against this location. The staff here are as attentive and pleasant as any I've ever encountered. So, thumbs up for this location, but thumbs down for a bad corporate decision to discontinue the ribeye. read more

Went here with a large group. We were all in town for a wedding. The place is small but we shortened our wait by splitting up into three groups. Everyone in our party said they enjoyed their meals. I had the Baja fish tacos. They were perfectly good fish tacos, nothing earth shattering but good. I upgraded my fries side to sweet potato fries for a $1.00 more but was ultimately disappointed. When my meal came out I quickly realized they did their sweet potato fries with cinnamon sugar, completely throwing off the flavor they should have and making them inedible as a side for fish tacos. My daughter had the country fried chicken with gravy and fries on the side. I sampled it and it was very good. My sister in law had the tortilla soup and it wasn't warm enough. They were very accommodating to the vegetarians in our group, which doesn't always happen in small Texas towns. read more

We were looking for a restaurant that had a little bit of variety. We ended up finding this place out in the middle of nowhere. We got fried green tomatoes,meatloaf, a steak and we all ordered desert. The service people were all very helpful and friendly. read more

First off, the service from the young staff is always good, (the management however, well better not to comment as it will probably change). They are friendly and seem to attempt to make you happy. And their desserts are, so far good. The food is basic chain style, but at times it is off - like Chicken and Dumplings Soup without the Chicken in it, and all of the fried items now can not seem to hold their crust - as if either the oil is not hot enough, or the cooker needs to be replaced. According to hubby, and by my one taste, the steaks are no longer seasoned, they are just tossed on the grill, though the last time they did get the temp right. The veggies and some items are normally decent enough, but after raising costs, and not fixing the problems I have no desire to go again. Everyplace is raising costs, and in this little town the main places, except for a few, don't seem to think that means better quality or at least maintaining it. If I were to get anything from here now it would be a quick lunch special of salad/sandwich type or just a veggie plate. read more

A couple months ago, my family and I decided to have dinner at Cotton Patch. We were seated by a blonde hostess, who was a very pleasant individual. Our waitress, a brunette with bangs named Taylor, was awful. Throughout our stay, she repeatedly checked up on the surrounding tables except ours. When she brought us our drinks, she forgot the straws. 10 minutes went by before we could flag her down. She didn't apologize for forgetting the straws. It was only towards the end that she showed any kind of professionalism - I suspect because she saw me writing this review. Whatever it was, she left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be returning to Cotton Patch. read more

To-go service is awful. I work at a medical facility where we don't get a lunch break, just pick up what we can, so this place is very inconvenient. Unfortunately not much to choose from close to us. I've worked in the food industry and was a manager of 40 employees for 5 years, should not be this difficult for them. Walk in to pick up an order, always have to wait and once it's your turn, the person taking your payment will make you stand there, mid-transaction, so that they can take orders on the phone. Why wouldn't she just ask them to hold until she's done running my card? This happened three times in one pickup. Got the wrong salad last time. I also saw about ten things within 3 ft of me that needed to be cleaned. read more

Went there tonight with my family due to our usual indecision we picked at random, the servers were polite, and prompt, the food was mediocre at best, my food was unseasoned and side was burnt, while this is what I've come to expect from our local cotton patch whenever I give it the benefit of the doubt I truly hope for more. read more

About Burger King quality at 2x the price. Long wait time for food, dirty tables and floors. Staff was friendly, although not effective.

Others are rigjt, great food. Had the Strawberry pecan mixed salad, with grilled chicken. Awesome! Service is no so great.

The children's chicken tenders were overly fried to the point of being dark brown instead of golden colored along with my fried okra which was crunchy and was unable to stick them with a fork with out them popping off the table. The bottomless chips came without salsa which is what the waitress had suggested when she asked if we wanted an appetizer. the mashed potatoes were flavorless and gravy less. read more

Lunch was good but quite pricey when considering portion size. We ordered a chicken fried chicken lunch and chicken was a breaded chicken tender--I don't think so. Also ordered a half sandwich and 1/2 salad, which price-wise was a better choice. Don't know if we'll go back. read more

Pretty good. The service isn't the best, but the food is very doable. I recommend the fish tacos or chicken fried steak.

Took an hour to get our food when it came we were told we had to wait longer for the side as it wasn't cooked yet. I could have gone to Walmart and bought everything and cooked it, in less time and for less money. Will not eat here again. Watch out. If you pay and tip on a credit card, check your statement when it arrives in the mail. I had additional $$ added. I had saved the receipt and the total was written clearly. Some people don't pay as much attention to verify each receipt with their statement. read more

Good food, good service - too bad my favorite waitress retired, or would have been great service! Got chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and mac n cheese and it was all delicious- not mushy, greasy, or cold. Kids and hubby enjoyed their food also. However----We sat at the booth close to the door and hearing the management staff - two that we saw and overheard- flirt with employees and say innapropriate things isn't how I pictured spending mine or my family's Sunday. Clean up the attitude -after all, this is a family restaurant- and my next experience will hopefully be 5 stars read more
