Best cottage inn location! Not just a pizza takeout place, it's nice to dine in. Good specialty pizzas and the pepperoni bread is amazing!

Best pizza in Davison. Not to mention all they do for the community, so much goes unrecognized.

Located almost at our back door, so we consider ourselves regulars. Wait staff appears to have a…read morehigh turnover because we rarely see a familiar face. Regardless, wait service is generally solid. Food is decent and consistent, not fancy, and is the Americanized version of Italian food. (We've spent a month in Italy. The food in northern and southern Italy does not include overcooked pasta buried in sauces and cheese.) We tend to skip the complimentary bread baked in the stone oven. It's a huge round of bread with not much taste. Order the cheese bread instead. Gooey deliciousness. Unlimited salad is a nice gesture and staff does not scrimp when replenishing the bowl. This evening I had the trio pasta combination: lasagna, manicotti, ravioli smothered in Parmesan cheese and baked. What's not to love (putting aside that it's not authentic Italian)? Some say their tomato sauce is too sweet. It is sweeter than any other we've tasted and takes a little while to get accustomed to, but it can make for a nice change. Portions are incredibly large and more than half of this entree was placed in a to-go box. Husband has fettuccine with tomato sauce. He said it was excellent. Just wish this Italia Gardens served spittini.

The food was ok. The chicken they use in the chicken Alfredo and scampi is not good, however. It…read morewas cubed and super rubbery, almost squeaky crunchy like. It's not like a good quality grilled chicken. The waitress was nice, but the elderly lady who seated us, was not super nice, or tolerant -seeming with a very young special needs child. The lemon cake was EXCELLENT! The cannolis were good as well.

We've been going to Villa D'Alessandro for years, even after the owner change. We understood when…read morethey went from all house-made items to some being frozen. And the servers have ALWAYS been great. But I've noticed the food starting to trend downhill. The calamari has always been well prepared, but last night was way overcooked. We were there for our anniversary. I ordered the Ravioli Formaggio and asked for the Lobster Bisque sauce instead of the Portobello Cream, (which they always do for us.) When it came, it had the Portobello sauce on it. The server gladly returned it to the kitchen to fix. She came back shortly and said that he was in process of making another, so he gave me that one. I thanked her and started eating, only to discover mushrooms under the ravioli. I pulled about 10 of them out. It was apparent that the kitchen had given me the same dish trying to switch out the sauce, and hadn't done a good job. I can deal with lazy, but lazy and sloppy is a bad combination. If you're going to try to lie to a customer, at least put some effort into it. If this had been a food allergy situation it could have turned out much worse for the diner as well as a lawsuit impacting every person who worked there. And kitchens that set their servers up to handle the feedback on the issue should be horse-whipped. Our server was terrific, so we in no way held her responsible. Also, take a close look at your check. The "suggested tip" percentages are way off. And I have notified the owner about it before. After the server offered to remove my dish from the bill, our total came to $64.66 (tax included.) The suggested tips start at 15% and showed $12.90 as the amount. Sorry, but basic math says 15% is $9.70. $12.90 is actually 19.995%. In similar fashion, the 20% amount actually came to 26.6%, and the 22% amount came out to 29.2%. I'm always a generous tipper, but I don't like being conned into it. For someone who doesn't want to take the time to tally the tip for themselves, you're getting stiffed. Take care of your server, but do so voluntarily. When I originally notified the owner about the percentage issue several weeks ago, he wrote back that he would "look into it with their card processor." Nothing has changed. Also, there is a sign at the door that there will be a 3% processing fee added to all credit and debit cards. Thankfully, they didn't add the fee to our debit card because that would violate a federal law. Credit cards, yes, but not debit. I think the processor handles that, but the sign is another red flag. Really used to love this place. But I think we're probably done. What a shame. By the way, when there was no response privately on Facebook, I posted this review. Rather than reach out to discuss it or try to retain a customer and make things right, their response was to block me. Lol. I guess that tells you everything you need to know.

I never did a review for this place? Really?…read more Today was my second time eating at Da Edoardo, for my Aunt Millie's birthday. It's very unlikely that she'll read this unless I happen to show the review to her on my phone...but when that happens, Happy Birthday Auntie! We had a party of 15 people. For appetizers, we had: Jumbo Grilled Shrimp: God-tier. Rosemary Fries: Crispy and flavorful, and the rosemary gives it a nice touch that you won't find in other fries. Lemoncello Chicken Wings: One of maybe two wings in the world that can give Redwood's wings a run for their money. If only they weren't so small. On the plus side, the name makes you picture a giant lemon being made into a cello. Calamari: tasty, but the sauce renders the batter quite spongy. I'm no stranger to the batter for squid being softer than actual air, but I'm really hoping to someday find some with crispy batter. I promised myself I wouldn't fill up on appetizers. Like every other lie I tell myself to keep the demons at bay, it didn't last. So long story short, the appetizers were good. Still, I did have some room for my entree, a Potato Crusted Halibut with mash and green beans. The green beans had a delicious seasoning to them. The mashed potatoes were okay, although I can't say that they're better than Redwood's white cheddar mash. It's good but it's just kinda there... The potato crusted halibut was also very good. Even after all the seafood I've eaten, I still largely classify fish as "salmon" and "everything that's not salmon," but the halibut was still quite delicious. So far, I can say I prefer it over red snapper, cod, and most definitely swordfish. Not a huge fan of swordfish, except maybe as an improvised weapon like in the cartoons. Conclusion: I want that pizza next tho.
