Here's a surprise: Amazing breakfast, served all day, at a good ol' Irish Pub! Seriously, the attention to detail on the hash browns alone, crispy or with onions--however you want 'em! Plus omelettes done to perfection, on top of the extensive menu full of expected pub fare. This is NOT a book you want to read by its gritty cover alone. It's a classic! A family-owned joint known for being a blast at night, with comedy, trivia , even the occasional drag night. (Talk about unexpected!) But it's as dark a hideaway as you'd ever want to lose yourself in over some whiskey in the midday hours, too. The perfect blend. Chalk it up to Theresa and her staff. The food was okay, nothing to rave about. The homemade chips were awesome but the portion was really little. Two things I disliked are the wait time and credit card surcharge. Wait Time - When the staff said pickup is available in twenty minutes, the food should be there for me to pick up when I arrive twenty minutes later. After I arrived, I had to wait an additional half an hour before they had my food ready. The unrealistic timeframe given had me lose all faith in their business. I understand being busy but they could have set expectations up right away. Credit Card Surcharge - This was at a whopping 4%. Now I understand businesses have to pay the companies whose credit card machines they use a fee but instead of charging customers, it would be ideal to roll the fee into the price. read more

Had the Pub Burger and fries. Really very good. Fries were perfectly hot and crispy. Burger was fresh and hot. Food came out fast. Service was excellent. The place was clean and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend. I will be back to try all of the burgers on the menu. read more

I wanted to bring my husband here to try their burgers. We took 3 kids with us in the middle of the day for lunch and I wouldn't recommend it as a family place The burgers and fries were good. The quality of the beef isn't the highest but it's good. They have a bunch of award winning burgers on the menu and I tried the "sauced up" burger and it was delicious! Everyone else went classic and tried the Pub Burger and they all enjoyed it. We'd go back to try more of the burgers. Prices are good. Service was not the fastest but our waitress was hustling all by herself and she was friendly. It isn't in the nicest area, it's run down and industrial but the food was good. read more

Timothy's is located on Flint's east side on Robert T Logway Blvd., just east of Dort Hwy. Starting life as a 'shop' bar for the workers from AC Spark Plug, it has evolved into one of Flint's hidden gems. The owner Theresa, takes a hands on approach to ensure the quality of the food and the satisfaction of the patrons. Quality and consistency are evident in every visit. No longer a 'shop' bar it is now a great restaurant and night spot. The majority of their food is made from scratch and is not just some deep-fried frozen concoction. For three years running they won the Burgers and Beers contest that happened in Flint. Those burgers included the Maggie Meadows "Boozy Burger", the Maggie Meadows "Sauced Up" Burger and the Maggie Meadows A-List Burger. All are still on the menu ($8.95 each) and are fantastic in their makeup and taste. My favorites include the Burgers, the Slim Tim, any of the omelets, the Taco Salad, the Walleye dinner, the Firebird Wraps or to be honest anything else. Weekday specials include: Wraps on Tuesdays, Tacos and Burritos on Wednesday, Walleye Dinners on Fridays and others. They some how managed to not get caught up in the whole craft beer craze, but still offer a decent choice of brews, including Oberon, Two Hearted, Guinness, and most domestics. I don't make it over this way very often, but when I do - I try to stop by Timothy's Pub. The staff is always friendly and the food items I have tried have always been good. This time around I tried their Cheesy Broccoli Soup and a Patty Melt with fries. The soup was good - it came out piping hot, it took a good 10 minutes to cool off. That first bite burned my mouth - after that I was able to enjoy a pretty tasty cup of soup. The patty melt was one of the best I've had - the bread was toasted perfectly and the burger, onions and cheese just melted in my mouth. So much flavor! When I visit places I like to try something new, but next time I am at Timothy's I might have to go for the patty melt again! read more

Four of us visited here last night and enjoyed the excellent thin crust pizza for sure. We also tried the Traverse City Salad but were a bit disappointed that this usually great salad only offered iceberg lettuce and really needed some extra crunch by adding maybe Romaine or other leafy varieties. Went here to see a comedy show, which was great/hilarious!! There were 6 of us, I know most of us enjoyed our food. I got (beer battered) fish & chips, very mild & really good. 2 others ordered burgers, with great reviews, someone else ordered a pizza. Had a great time!! Had to wait for waitress a couple of times, ran out of drinks. One of the most "un-Irish-looking" Irish pubs I've seen yet. It's an okay dive bar with inexpensive drink specials and decent (not great) bar food, but in no way do I feel this is an Irish pub. I know, I know, it's marketed as an Irish bar, but honestly, it just does not actually give off that vibe to me. Sorry, it just does not strike me as an authentic Irish pub. Well, for the ambiance- it's not dirty per se, but it's dark, a little dank and the interior could use a bit of a face lift. It's a tad dated, but it's clean, and staff is pleasant and friendly enough. As for the drinks and food- it's strictly middle of the road. They have a nice enough selection of beers on tap, with all the brands you'd expect, but the cocktails are a mixed bag. Whisky drinks are where it's at and where the bartenders excel. On the other hand, vodka-based cocktails are just not good. I'd just stick to the whisky-based drinks and call it a day. Everything else is fine and pretty consistent. The food is cheap and satiates the appetite while downing a few beers, but I wouldn't purposely stop in here just for lunch, unless I was drinking as well. It's basically pub food that serves its purpose- to keep the customer satisfied and the belly full while polishing off a couple pints. read more

This is a fun place to go..they have live music.. Karaoke..comedy nights and otber fun events throughout the year. Who doesn't love a dive bar?! All regulars, a band, fabulous waitresses, and good food..all of the makings for a good night. I got a Sam Adams and a patty melt.
