Cozy, new-ish, matcha/coffee spot in Ahwatukee! Came the day after thanksgiving so it was a little busy. He unfortunately ran out of matcha so we were only able to order 2 but they were so good. My brother got the vanilla rose matcha and I got the mango matcha. Vanilla rose matcha was light with a very strong matcha flavor. Rose was very light and didn't taste a lot of the vanilla rose but it was still good. Mango matcha was pretty sweet. The mango puree was fresh and a great addition to the matcha. My husband got the French vanilla coffee which was also pretty good. Overall, the coffee/matcha was great quality and the staff was friendly. Super cute interior and would definitely come back when I'm in Arizona.

Cotta Nostra is a sleek and modern coffee shop in the Ahwatukee area. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a nice and welcoming setup. For their menu, they have a good variety of different coffee, matcha, and hojicha drinks to choose from. I ended up getting the Miso Maple Hojicha Latte and it had a unique and interesting flavor profile. All of the staff here are friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend stopping by to grab a drink if you are ever in the area!

Came here today to check out the new coffee spot in town and it was such a TREAT!! I got the Miso Maple latte because I was feeling adventurous and had moderate hopes for it (because it sounded sort of weird), and it blew me out of the water! It was incredibly yummy with a lot of depth of flavor! The flavor was sweet, but not too sweet, and the espresso was really delicious. The menu was quite comprehensive - it took me a while to pick what I wanted, but when I finally figured it out it was very easy to order & I got my drink quickly. The storefront is easy to find and the inside is SO cute! I didn't get a picture but it is very aesthetic. Prices are reasonable considering the unique drinks & high quality ingredients - I will be back to try more yummy drinks!

I was around the area dying of thirst with no water in the car (bad decision) and my Yelp community helped me locate This gem in Ahwatukee foothills. I showed up to park (plenty of parking for a small plaza) and thought that they were closed because the window tinting was so dark and I couldn't see inside. Thankfully the door is unlocked. I was greeted by the barista immediately and instructed me to order on the device. The menu was clear and the ordering process was simple. I ended up ordering the yuzu mango sparkling Fresca. I took my first sip and I cool down immediately. It was a slightly bitter flavor from the matcha, but the yuzu mango flavor balanced it out. I tried not to stir it too much, but the drink got sweeter towards the bottom. P.S. - With a place painted in all black, it was surprising not stuffy in the middle of a hot AZ summer

Delightful place to hang out. Had the Curry Coquette, delicious savory treat, decently filling as a substantial snack. Loved my Iced Vanilla Rose Matcha Latte, adding in the vanilla and rose made it sweet enough for my preference (the original plain latte is more strong/traditional than sweet). Few couches and tables to lounge at too, nice chill vibe inside. Would recommend!

Cotta Nostro is a beautifully designed coffee shop with a clean, minimalist aesthetic that immediately stands out. The atmosphere feels calm and modern, with a real attention to detail that makes the space feel polished and intentional. That said, seating is fairly limited, so it's not the best spot if you're hoping to spread out with a laptop and settle in for a few hours. It works better as a grab and go stop or a quick conversational meetup rather than a co-working hub. With only one person behind the counter when we visited, it might not be that quick but I'm hopeful they'll figure this out! The drinks are presented nicely, though the flavors don't quite live up to the high standard the space gives. Tried an espresso and matcha each and they could use a bit more depth and balance to really shine, although I'm picky and a bit spoiled from my travels. If they invest as much into their menu as they do interior design then they could quickly take a top spot for coffee in the valley.

I've made 2 attempts to go here and they were unfortunately closed (during business hours). I'm glad I went back again since I was in the area because the mango matcha was very good. My cousin ordered the black sesame hojicha and said it was one of the best drinks he has ever had. They take time making the drinks so be patient because it's worth it. Like the clean interior and will be back

I love getting the Cotta Noir Matcha Latte! I have been here a couple of times during my lunches, and I love the atmosphere in this little shop. There is a couch seating in the middle and a small high chair seating area for about two people. Pretty small space, but a nice spot to grab matcha and coffee with some friends. It is right next to a pilates studio so you are a pilates & matcha fan, this place is for you! This week is their last week doing a soft opening, the current hours are from 9-2pm, I usually come on a weekday. I spoke with the owner, Patrick and he gave me some great recommendations for someone that is new to Phoenix!

Strawberry matcha and miso maple hojicha
    Emily L.

Decent coffee, matcha, and hojicha cafe with lots of potential! The quality of their ingredients is definitely their superpower (have you seen how green their ceremonial-grade matcha is?). I love a good hojicha latte, and their miso maple one was pretty solid -- would have loved even more miso flavor too! The strawberry matcha was good, but I was a little thrown off that it was just strawberry milk instead of puree like in the menu description (especially since the drinks came with boba straws haha). Definitely hope they bring back puree style -- I find that more milk dulls out the matcha flavor more -- but it was still an enjoyable drink. Overall, I did appreciate the attention to detail I saw from the people crafting drinks in the back. Definitely interested in trying out their espresso drinks, as well as their classic matcha and hojicha lattes.

This is a nice matcha spot in awatukee, the place inside is nice and cozy perfect for studying or doing work. The matcha took a long time to make, so if ur trying to get in quick and get out is not recommend here as I had only one person in front of me and it still took 10 min. The matcha was good overall and I'd recommend it if u want one at that part of town.

Place is cool, clean, swanky. Vibes for days. Order at the kiosk and the drinks come out quick. We got a variety of matcha drinks, matcha w/oatmilk, w/mango, and with hojicha. All yummy!

They are still in their soft opening phase - hours are M-Sat 8am-2pm. I went back to try the strawberry matcha latte, and it's different from other ones I've tried in the past, which have like a strawberry jam at the bottom of the cup. Cotta Nostra's seems like they have a strawberry milk at the bottom and then matcha on top, with strawberry pieces at the top of the drink. Not my favorite I've had, but it's still good and satisfied my craving.

Great place for a morning caffeine run! One of my go to place for matcha and hojicha during my travel! Love the variety and option available.

It tells you this isn't just a coffee shop, it's a hub for the neighborhood. They even put out a newsletter to keep people plugged into what's happening around the shop. That's one I haven't seen in a while - these things take time and heart to put together...so well done guys The menu is where it gets fun, especially the summer menu. Somebody clearly had a blast putting these drinks together. Looking around, the café is this unique blend of styles and tastes, and that blend just works...beautifully so. I grabbed an espresso and just enjoyed the energy of the place. There's a wall of records with a story behind it you'll have to go in and hear for yourself, and the vintage art scattered throughout ties the whole space together. Recently I was in need of a weekday afternoon boost and decided to check them out. The menu is fairly simple- single origin Ethiopian coffee in different versions to drink, and some snacks. The owner was super nice to explain what differentiates Ethiopian coffee than others... even gave me a hot shot of espresso to take to go with my iced coffee! As someone who basically drinks one cup a day, I definitely felt the caffeine in my blood the rest of my afternoon ::insert twitchy eye::. Definitely way less bitter than my usual iced coffee... and more potent. Hadas is in a former day spa in the northwest corner shopping plaza of Elliot and 48th much closer to Cactus Jack's than 48th St. They offer wifi and chill vibes for those who want to study/work. Would be a nice spot to meetup with friends too! Hope more people check them out and keep caffeinated by them!
