Paid $450 for two tires plus install. Won't be going back here. What a rip off. Paid $450 at CotaTires Looked on line a set of four plus install at American Tire Depot is $457.96 I thought the owner and his son were honest. Buyer beware.

Owner and son beat one of their guard dogs and starve the other. And take advantage of the common persons lack of knowledge regarding cars

Dear American Tire Depot Management,…read more I am writing to formally complain about damage to my vehicle's wheel that occurred during a tire repair at your Redlands location, as well as the way my concerns were handled when I returned to the store. On Monday, August 17, 2026, I had an appointment scheduled for 12:45 p.m. to replace the driver-side rear tire on my 2025 Toyota Camry. The previous day, I had experienced a flat tire and, because I was unsure whether it could be repaired, I ordered a replacement tire online through American Tire Depot. My vehicle has just over 19,000 miles and is very well maintained. It is covered under Toyota's three-year maintenance plan, and the tires have been properly maintained and rotated. Prior to bringing the vehicle to your store, there was no damage to the wheel in question, which I can document with a photograph taken when the flat occurred. I arrived at approximately 12:30 p.m., as requested, 15 minutes before my appointment. I waited roughly two hours before the vehicle was inspected. I understood that other customers were ahead of me and had no issue with the wait. The service advisor eventually informed me that the tire did not need to be replaced and could instead be repaired with a patch. I appreciated their honesty and agreed to the repair. I was satisfied enough with the service at that point that I even provided a $10 tip for the technician who performed the work. Approximately 20 minutes later, I was told my vehicle was ready. I left the store and drove directly home without any incident. After arriving home and allowing the vehicle to cool down from the very hot weather, I went outside to wash it. At that point, I discovered a deep, fresh scratch/gouge on the wheel that had just been serviced. I immediately called the Redlands store. Someone answered and placed me on hold, where I remained for approximately 25 minutes. Eventually, it became clear that no one was returning to the call. I attempted to call again, but the store had closed. The following morning, I called and specifically asked whether American Tire Depot had a policy regarding wheel damage or scratches that may occur during service. I was told there was no specific scratch policy and that the best thing to do was bring the vehicle back so the wheel could be inspected. I arrived at approximately 8:00 a.m., despite needing to be at work by 10:00 a.m. After looking at the wheel, I was told that the damage could not have occurred at the store because their tire equipment supposedly does not touch that particular area of the wheel. I was then told that I must have scraped the wheel against a curb after leaving the store. I explained that this does not make sense. There is no corresponding curb rash, scuffing, or impact damage on the tire itself. If I had struck or scraped a curb hard enough to cause this type of damage to the wheel, there should reasonably be some evidence on the tire directly beside it. There is not. More importantly, I have photographic evidence. I have a photograph from the day the tire went flat clearly showing the wheel without this damage before American Tire Depot serviced it. I also have photographs taken after the service clearly showing the new damage to the wheel while the tire itself remains undamaged. Rather than discussing this evidence or attempting to find a reasonable resolution, Richard, who identified himself as the manager of the Redlands location, told me that the damage was my issue and that he considered the matter "final and closed." When I asked for the name or contact information of the person he reports to so that I could escalate my concern, he would not provide me with any additional information. I find both the damage and the handling of my complaint unacceptable. I am not asking American Tire Depot to simply take my word for what happened. I am asking management to review the before-and-after photographic evidence, the service performed on the exact wheel that was damaged, and the circumstances surrounding the repair. I am requesting that this complaint be escalated to the appropriate General Manager, District Manager, Regional Manager, or Corporate Customer Relations representative for review. I would also like American Tire Depot to provide a reasonable resolution for repairing or restoring the damaged wheel. Please contact me regarding how American Tire Depot intends to address this matter. I am prepared to provide the before-and-after photographs, service documentation, appointment information, and any additional information necessary. I would appreciate a written response from management. Thank you, Sam

Today I stopped by because my car was making a strange noise. They didn't hesitate to take it for a test drive, quickly figured out the issue, and explained everything clearly. (1 Star) I rarely…read moreleave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. I brought my Mercedes-Benz to the Discount Tire location in Redlands because my rear tire was not holding air. Since I purchased all four tires and the warranty through Discount Tire, I expected the issue to be straightforward. My expectation was simple: inspect the tire, determine whether it qualified under the warranty, and explain the findings honestly. Instead, I received multiple, conflicting explanations over the course of two days. The first phone call informed me that all four of my tires were low on tread and needed to be replaced. I explained that all four tires had been purchased from Discount Tire and that I had also purchased the warranty. I reminded them that I came in because one rear tire was losing air, not because all four tires were worn out. I was then placed on hold. When the representative returned, the explanation completely changed. I was told they had accidentally inspected another Mercedes-Benz of the same color and that my vehicle was actually fine. The problem with that explanation is that I was sitting in the parking lot during that phone call. I could see the vehicles on the lot, and I did not observe another Mercedes-Benz matching mine. Whether there was an internal mix-up or something else, the explanation simply did not make sense based on what I personally observed. When I arrived before closing to pick up my vehicle, the explanation changed again. I was then told the replacement tire needed to be ordered. The following day, I received another phone call. This time I was told the tire would not be covered because I had not had an alignment performed after purchasing the tires. I was then asked if I wanted to purchase both a replacement tire and an alignment. By the end of the process, I had received four different explanations for the same warranty claim: All four tires needed replacement. My vehicle had been confused with another Mercedes-Benz. The replacement tire needed to be ordered. The warranty would not be honored because an alignment had not been performed. At that point, the issue was no longer about the tire it was about trust. I don't mind being told "no" if the decision is supported by the written warranty and explained honestly. What I do mind is receiving a different explanation every time I speak with someone. That makes it very difficult to have confidence in the recommendations being made or to believe that my warranty claim was handled consistently. I have submitted a formal complaint to Discount Tire Corporate requesting a review of this matter and an explanation of the written policy used to deny my claim. As of the date of this review, I have not received a response. I will update this review to reflect how Discount Tire responds and whether the company stands behind its warranty and customer service. I also intend to document and share my experience on social media so other consumers can make informed decisions based on the outcome. I genuinely hope I can update this review with a positive resolution. Right now, however, I cannot recommend this location based on my experience.
