After two visits to this establishment for a rear brake job, my daughter's 2022 Subaru Crosstrek was still making a terrible grinding noise on the left rear wheel. I removed the wheel and found that there was no brake pad on the outboard side. Only a remnant of the backing plate was there. The caliper was grinding on the rotor and of course the rotor was destroyed and had to be replaced. I have never seen this happen and it was probably due to either very low quality pads being installed or faulty installation. read more

Wonderful place, great service. I we've been going to this business establishment for over 8+ years. Gary and Ray who run the front desk always get us in promptly. Their staff always does a nice job. And we're always satisfied with the outcome of all three of our vehicles. I highly recommend them. They are honest and careful with your vehicles. read more

I made an appointment I got there. They took my car in right away. Said they would be done in an hour and they were. Great service and Gary was very courteous. read more

Honest - reliable - great prices. We've bought three sets of tires here over the last dozen years or so years. I just had a set rotated again, for free. I price tires at WalMart, etc and the prices at Gary's are comparable - the service, free rotation and quick service are a bonus. read more

Great service and fast. Easy to do business with I had new tires installed and three days later they wanted to make sure I was happy plus free tire rotation included can't beat their service read more

I highly recommend this tire shop if you want quick service, a quality job, and reasonable prices. I had a flat tire and broken rim, which would have cost me $850 anywhere else. Gary and Ray were very helpful and did everything they could to get my rim repaired and order a new tire within a few days. I walked out paying way less than I thought this would cost and am very grateful for their kind and thorough service. read more

I've had to use various tire shops in Yucaipa, Calimesa and Redlands over the years, really without much satisfaction with any of them. Gary's was recommended by Greg at Greg's Garage in Redlands. It turned out very well. Fast service with a new set of tires, no upselling and no flimflam. He even called me after it was done to ask if everything went alright. It did! read more

Always had great service from Gary until now. Had an appointment for oil change and tire rotation. I informed Ray, the manager, I would be waiting. After 30 minutes, the mechanic approached me to let me know I needed an air filter. So far, no problems. 30 minutes later, Ray informs me there is an issue with balancing one of my tires and has me follow him to the garage area. As my wheel is off the balancing machine, he and the mechanic, proceed to inform me that my wheel can't be balanced due to a piece of the rim (metal) missing near the lug nut. (The damage is clearly visible near the lug nut) I asked if the integrity of the rim had been comprised and the mechanic said it was not, but that their attempt to balance the wheel could not be completed due to the damage. I ask Ray how that damaged to my rim occurred. He stated I brought it in that way. I disagreed and was curious as to why, with such significant and obvious damage to the rim, they would continue to work on my truck without physically showing me the damaged rim first. Ray replied that he couldn't find me. I reminded him that I had been at the business the whole time and welcomed him to look at his cameras. As I continued to asked Ray why his business would proceed to work on a damaged wheel without showing me the damage BEFORE their work, he then stated "I got too busy." I asked to speak with GARY and was informed he was on vacation. The following week I contacted GARY over the phone about the situation. GARY stated he was informed that my wheel was damaged when I brought it in. After I disagreed, Gary stated he's known Ray for several years and would never lie to him. As a customer and person, it is very disappointing to be truthful and completely honest with someone only to have that person basically call you a liar. It was apparent it was going to be my word against Ray's and knew our attempts to rectify the situation was going nowhere. I now have a damaged rim/wheel that cannot be balanced. The most disheartening about this is not a damaged wheel, but a business that I trusted and let me down. I still believe in my heart GARY is an honest man, but is being mislead by his employees. I still have faith this will end with honesty.damaged wheel read more

Myself and my family have been going to Gary's for 15+ years now. They are reasonably priced and honest, which is so very rare these days. We LOVE Dennis and recommend reaching out to GVA should you need anything from tires to engine issues. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Honest and fair priced. This is now my go to tire store in Redlands and the surrounding area. Definitely recommend.

One of the best & honest places to go for service. Would highly recommend. The shop is very clean and Ray was very professional & friendly. read more

Gary's is the best shop in town for tires and maintenance on your truck or car. His prices are fair and his mechanics are top notch. I have been a customer of his for over ten years and he always takes good care of all our cars, trucks and even our RV. read more

Always great service. They are great people. I've been having all my repairs done by Ray for 4 years. My Brother has been doing the same for over 25 years. read more

I have to say with everything turning to large conglomerates, ie Pep-Boys, America's Tire, etc... It's nice to have a neighborhood "Mom & Pop" type shop around still doing business the old fashioned way. Gary and his crew do a great job of making sure we have the right service for our vehicles at the corresponding manufacturer milestones. in addition, he always goes out of his way to stay competitive with his pricing and the overall value. I have recommended may of my friend and family members to Gary and they too have been more than satisfied. So help keep Small Business alive in America. Go see Gary!!! read more

I am so thankful for Gary's Viking Auto and Tire shop. Both my daughter and I take our cars there for tires and servicing. There has only been one time when they have not been able to help with my problem, but they referred me to another shop with the same level of integrity. Having Ray and Gary to count on for our car maintenance is such a blessing. We always used to be afraid of car problems, but now we have the confidence that they have our best interest at heart and are experts at what they do. Also. their prices are fair and far more affordable than where we used to get our cars serviced. Oh, one more thing - I've referred several people to them, and everyone who has used them has been also very happy. read more

Honesty. Integrity. Ethics and character is what keeps me coming back for over 15 years. Jeeps and Cars and Trucks, plus transmissions and engines, tires and brakes, and anything else... I've never needed to worry about what they tell me or recommend. And they've told me plenty of stuff.. read more

Hallelujah!!!! for Gary's Viking auto, I hit a pothole and damaged wheel rims. Tesla dealership told me because my suspension/steering might be bad (tesla would not touch the car), I need to take my model Y to a collision Auto shop. My steering wheels was shaking, my brakes felt as though they were damaged and grinding, and my car was riding rough. Gary's knowledgeable staff member diagnosed the problem immediately within 5 minutes and corrected it within 20 minutes. I have to say, I feel sooo blessed because if had gone to any other dealership for repairs or automechanic, they probably would have diagnosed misalignment, damaged shocks, probably numerous other things and cost at $5,000. I live in victorville but from this point and all future work will be done by Gary's Viking auto. Thank you the wonderful service. read more

I work in construction and drive my truck through job sites on a daily basis. Long story short I get my fair share of flat tires. Stopped into Gary's tire shop expecting to wait a least an hour to get my flat tire repaired. I was really surprised when the gentleman at the counter said they would get right on it. It was surprising because when I pulled in all the lifts were full and they looked busy. I got in and out of there in less than 20 mins. I highly recommend going here for your tire needs. Great customer service with no up selling. Thank you Gary's Viking tire shop! read more

Scheduled a four tire rotation and balance. Staff was very courteous, professional, and on time.

My parents have been coming here for years. My husband has brought his work truck here a few times as well. Today we brought our Jeep Liberty in. I had taken it to Pep Boys a few months back and they said I needed tie rod ends, bushings, new tires and an alignment. I waited to do the work. So when we brought it in today I was prepared to have a lot of work done. Turns out my suspension was fine. All I needed was tires and an alignment. I will never go anywhere else after today. read more

Gary's Viking Tire is the best tire repair place I've been to in a long time. Gary takes care of his customers and doesn't take advantage of us. I had a razor blade tear a half-inch hole in my right front. It was too big to patch but he replaced it and steered me away from spending more money to replace the others. I have never had an issue with the tires he has used and I've had three cars since I started going to him five years ago. read more

These people are honest courteous and provide excellent tire and auto repair service. Each time I've dealt with them, I've saved over 2-300 dollars below what a car dealer charges. I've been dealing with them since they were Nemo & Jack's in San Bernardino. If you are looking for an honest car repair shop, then look no further. I highly and wholeheartedly give Gary's my highest rating. read more

Worst customer service. Don't take your cars here unless you have hours and hours to wait. Answers were condescending and clearly he didn't have time for me nor have any desire to help me out with a flat tire. Going to Les Schwab. read more

These guys know their stuff. They don't just sell you tires, they evaluate your vehicle, your driving habits and the roads you drive to determine the best tires for your needs. I own two SUV's, a Harley, a Motorhome, a service truck and two trailers and I live in the mountains, so I buy a lot of tires. Although they seem a bit higher than the "production" shops, I've never been happier with my tire performance (and I'm old, so that's saying a lot!). read more

Gary's is an amazing place to take your vehicle, I was so stressed out last week when my front driver side window fell down in the door panel and would not go back up. Took my car to the dealership where the car was purchased and they wanted over $600. 00 to fix it. My daughter called Gary's place and they said they could fix it for less and when I dropped the car off Gary said they would have it ready before noon. They did an awesome job and were very kind and friendly.. I use to live right next door and always took our vehicles to them, they NEVER disappoint.. We need more businesses like this one.. Thank you Gary and all staff.. read more
