Five stars, and honestly it's not even a debate. This is my go-to Costco whenever I'm out in Arizona. We've got a second home nearby, so this place ends up being part grocery run, part "how did I just spend that much" experience every single time. This last trip was a perfect example. I walked in thinking I'd grab a couple things and walked out with a garage-ready refrigerator, a matching freezer, a rack for smoking ribs, and of course a few racks of ribs to justify the purchase. It escalates quickly in there. The store itself is exactly what you want from a Costco. Clean, well-stocked, and organized enough that you don't feel like you're navigating chaos. The staff has always been solid too. Friendly, helpful, and they actually seem willing to point you in the right direction instead of just gesturing vaguely across the warehouse. Parking, surprisingly, has never been a headache for me. For how busy this location gets, it moves. People cycle in and out fast enough that you're not circling forever like a shark. And yeah, it's a busy spot. No getting around that. But after a couple visits, you kind of find your rhythm and it stops feeling overwhelming. Prices are what keep pulling me back. You walk in for paper towels and leave questioning your life choices but also feeling like you somehow still got a deal. It's dangerous in the best way. Bottom line, if you're anywhere near Tempe and need to stock up, this place delivers every time. Just maybe bring a bigger vehicle than you think you need. read more

The overall quality of Costco's food products has declined to a degree that is difficult to overlook. Many bakery items no longer resemble the high-standard products customers once relied on. The cupcakes, for example, have shifted from a rich, flavorful treat made with real chocolate chips to a noticeably smaller, bland product lacking any meaningful taste. The Danish pastries have experienced a similar decline, the dough has become tasteless, and the cheese filling appears diluted to the point where any actual cheese content is minimal. Longstanding staples such as the dinner rolls are also affected, as they no longer maintain their signature light texture or flavor. Even the rotisserie chicken, historically one of Costco's most consistent and valued items, has become disappointingly bland. The tuxedo cake, previously a standout dessert, has lost the distinctive filling that made it a customer favorite. Most concerning, even the Kirkland Pate, once dependable, has deteriorated in quality to the extent that it is no longer accepted by our cats. These consistent declines across multiple categories diminish the value of maintaining a membership. I hope Costco reviews these concerns seriously and restores the quality standards that once set its products apart. read more

It baffles my mind that anybody would PAY money just to get in to this store. Costco has an OnlyFans style business model and what do you get out of it? An absolutely horrendous experience every time you go into a Costco. The way that Costco warehouses are set up is like a hoarders mansion. You want a specific product? Good luck finding it. Costco throws a bunch of products on the floor (literally) and says take it or leave it. There are more people in a Costco than at Disneyland, and the experience of trying to navigate through a Costco is like driving on the freeway and encountering an accident every mile. Costco is to Walmart as sewage is to gourmet food. So that's really saying something. I never thought I would be grateful to step foot in a Walmart but after surviving the gates of Costco Walmart comforts me. You would have to PAY ME a large sum of money to get me to ever go near a Costco again. I rarely leave reviews but due to the egregious nature of my visit, I felt compelled to do so. read more

Four stars because nearly everyone there was super friendly and the store is very clean. Subtracting one star because the two ladies working the customer service counter are ridiculous. I was the only one waiting and I waited quite a while because one older brunette was flirting and the older blonde was checking out pants. I got the blondes attention because let's face it, a lady trying to be a costco cougar is awkward in itself and I did not want to see how the mess would have played out. The lady playing with the returned pair of pants snapped that she'd be with me in a minute. Great! most of my trip was spent waiting in the customer service line. I would have just left, but I had a deli order to pick up. Thankfully, this store only has a few bad apples and their teammates seemed to pick up where they lacked. read more

This was my first time visiting this Costco location in Tempe, and I have to say, it made a great first impression! The warehouse was super clean, organized, and easy to navigate, which is always appreciated when you're tackling a Costco run. Everything felt well maintained, and the store had that nice, orderly flow that makes shopping just a little less chaotic. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming, which definitely stood out. And can we talk about those checkout lines?! They were moving SO quickly, which is basically a Costco miracle and always earns bonus points from me. Overall, a really pleasant first experience at this location. Clean store, friendly staff, organized aisles, and a speedy checkout--what more could you ask for during a Costco run? Definitely a location I'd happily come back to! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have been a member for many years. From California to Colorado, to Arizona... I have never seen such a rude, untrained staff as I have seen here. The "Card Check Clerks" at the doors are very aggressive and rude, and don't seem like they like their jobs. The employees have an attitude like they don't care, and also it reflect on customers service. This reflects on the Management... I've seen other reviews and it looks like a pattern for this particular store... rude employees, with lack of customer service skills. This store is close to my home, however I will not be back... I will go out of my way and drive the extra mile to the other location. read more

No surprises when you enter a Costco - warehouse environment, large sizes, and boxes to carry your new found treasures home. The staff was friendly and the store was clean. The lines were long (Saturday morning) but moved quickly. I will be back - probably every month for the rest of my life. read more

I love buying bulk, with my family it has to be done. I always like to grab a small bite at the food court after shopping, it's my alone time. Great place with great staff, everyone is always helpful. Even if it looks busy in the parking lot you can usually still get in and out. read more

I always recommend Costco, and always will. It's like Apple / iPhone or any other cult. You either love it or you don't.
