The manager i believe general manager at the Surrey Costco has absolutely no idea or common sense on how the transportation industry actually works. He expects drivers to waste time buzzing at the door and standing around waiting for someone to come out just so he can be called to watch you break a seal on barn doors, this is by far the dumbest thing I've ever seen or heard of in this industry. This kind of power tripping serves no purpose other than to feed his micromanagment ego. The trailer is already on Costco property whether its in the dock or not, its their responsibility. Delaying signing paperwork or insisting on these ridiculous steps doesn't change that. The manager clearly lacks professionalism, courtesy, and basic respect. He talks down on people, acts like hes above everyone else, and makes up policies that have nothing to do with how freight or liability actually works. Its time someone teaches him how the real world of transportation operates because hes completely out of touch with reality and has no clue. I dont know how he got his position. Absolutely terrible service at this tire center. I ordered new tires which didn't come in on time for my appointment. No call or warning from the shop, I just showed up and they informed me there. I'm currently driving on my spare, so I asked if they could patch my tire that has a slow leak so that I don't have to drive on my spare while I wait for the tires to come in. The employee proceeds to tell me that lots of people drive on their spare tires for months and that it's actually safer to run on the spare than to patch up the leaking tire. Best part is, he doesn't even look at the leaking tire. He just tells us that they aren't going to patch anything and that we've waste our time coming to the appointment. read more

This is a review of the Bellingham Costco Tire Center. I feel I got great help from Tyler and Josh. I had no idea how to evaluate possible tires for my Pony. Tyler was incredibly helpful and informative. So I feel I made a good choice. An appointment was made and they were ready for me. Little tip: they seem maybe short staffed at the customer area, but my solution to getting someone's attention was to tap on the glass to the work area. Josh was out to help me immediately. I got a great warrantee and they will check the torque soon to make sure all is good. Very happy. read more

Turns out there's a Costco smack in the middle of Surrey. Parking is available in the large lot around the building. This location is super busy though. Getting into the parking lot is already bad enough. The lot itself is a war zone. The property was obviously not designed to handle this much traffic. The inside of the store is typical of the other locations. However, the food area is unlike any other one I've been to. One does not simply order and pick up food at the same time. Instead, one pays for the food first and gets a receipt, then takes the receipt to the adjacent counter where another staff member looks at the receipt and gets the food. Lost several minutes and my place in line hanging onto the receipt and waiting at the cash registers. Rookie mistake. Once my beloved hot dog was in my hands though, all was well with the world. read more

Surrey Costco king George hwy terrible tire care install appointment at 3 pm didn't get car back almost 3 hours later asked for Manger staff says they can't find him . Car sat on lift with tires on just needed to be torked went to staff said lower car I will do it myself all of a sudden the manger magically appears says will be only a few minutes and just stands their laughing . There's a lot of negative reviews - generally because it's too busy? Usually when something is too busy, it's because it's got some redeeming qualities. Personally, my husband and I have shopped here since it opened. We find the #1 thing about this particular Costco is the staff. They are always helpful, always friendly, even when things are crazy. They do their best to make things easier for you. No, we don't work here. I just came back from a CORVID senior early opening. I found the staff so hard working in this crisis. And so organized, and patient with people who are obviously under a lot of stress. I applaud them and I'm grateful that they are here for us in the midst of such a crisis. read more

This location is consistently very busy which detours me from shopping here near as much as I would like. The returns line is so ridiculous that I just take the hit on cheeper items - I won't even bother with items anything less than $20 ( which is on me but it's just not worth the time). We stopped by for a snack at the Costco food section. It seems like this location is more busy than the Still Creek location I frequent. There were 3 staffers working in the food section and I was confused as to why the line was not moving much. There was a staff member standing, with other staff members with clip boards, near the cashier section telling customers how to line up. The line up was getting really long and some customers were not standing in a straight line. I think it would have been great if the clip board staffers were all cross trained to jump into the chaos and make the food! It turned out individual customers were buying large quantity of hot dogs and pop to take home. Some customers were packing 5 plus hot dog combos. The staff working behind the food counter do not know what was ordered until they look at your receipt. The line up system is more chaotic than the Still Creek location. People ended up clustering around the pop station waiting for their food. I did manage to get my slice of pizza to snack on before shopping :)! read more

Thuis is strictly the Costco-Surrey Pharmacy. I`ve been going here for 25 years. All my pharmacy records are there. I go in today. Saturday, Oct 29th in the morning and giv ethem my dailt=y medication oprescriptions. The lady says come back on Monday. MONDAY I said. Why does it take 2 full days to process a simple prescription when at anytime of day there is at least 10 people working here. This is the closest Costco to which Iive and when it gets busy (which is at the most predictable of times) it is an absolute joke how busy it is. I have never been to a Costco that i so busy. It's almost like they need to make the lanes at this Costco wider because there are people who are always looking to pass you, because they are in some sort of hurry - or they just want to get to another food sample stand before the old lady has to prepare another round. Costco Food Court is one of my favorite places to go for a lunch. The food there was always cheap and fresh. $1.50, you can have a Hotdog plus a pop. $6.49, you can have chicken strips and fries. $2.49, you will have French Fries. We had Poutine at Costco, which is only $4.49. It was very fresh and a large portion. My boy friend and I had to share it. Lots of Cheese. So Tasty. We love it. read more

If you don't mind crowds and love good deals - this is the place for you... but please be prepared to stand in massive lineups (especially if you come on the weekends). Costco is great for large families, but if there's only 1 or 2 people living in your place, then unless you have massive amounts of storage space - you may be better shopping at Save-On or Safeway. The good thing about Costco's is that all of them all very well organized despite their huge size.. and if you've been to one Costco - you've been to most all other Costco's. Don't get me wrong, I love Costco in general, any time when there's a membership involved, but for the design of the parking lot & main entrance, it falls short. Every time you try to turn right, it's a bottleneck, to the main parking area. Sure, it's easier to turn left, the section facing King George, but a lot smaller. Overall, it's a smaller store; even the Returns line doesn't have as much space, about 10 feet shorter before you bump into the staff who check your receipts on the way out lol. But one added bonus here is the Photo dept, better located than the Richmond one where you have to fight thru the end of the cashier mayhem. Possibly more stations too. For now, it's a '50%" promo on printing 4 x 6 photos, normally 15 cents, now 10 cents, no limit, regardless of how many you print. read more

I get very frustrated with their pharmacy. I'm a diabetic and have been one for nearly 50 years. Its not easy, but Costco pharmacy gives me continual frustration questioning me always; making me feel as though Im trying to pull a fast one on them. Always making it more difficult. I don't see the staff sold here cheaper than the Walmart but you need to spend 60 dollars to have a membership card so that you could buy staff from here. However, this is not the reason I gave such a low rating here. The reason I give a low rating is because of the service. The first time I walked into this Costco, I told a female staff who standing at the entrance that I do not have a membership card and I will go inside and check out if I really want to buy some things. She gave me a look that made me feel really uncomfortable, as if she was saying you did not have a membership, get out! Then she just looked at somewhere else. An awfully busy place regardless which time or day you visit. On my last visit it took me 30 minutes to buy one item. First 10 minutes cruising around the parking lot trying to find a spot. 5 minutes to find a cart, get inside through masses of people and pick my item. 10 minutes standing in a long lineup to pay and another lineup to walk out. Plus 5 more minutes to drive out. Painful and stressful! This Costco location desperately needs a bigger parking lot, at least double the current size. And probably a bigger space too, it's overcrowded at times. Some ethnic groups seem to make shopping and sample tasting a family event and you can spot one cart surrounded by 4-6 family members easily. MORE SUGGESTIONS: Open another Costco location in Surrey or extend the shopping hours from 8am - 10pm daily. read more

first of all I love Costco ; the surrey store has become far too busy for the few items I purchase there, now that the parking has increased so has the customer base, most of the time I go the lineups are past the clothing area on both sides,wish there was an express lane and more cashiers, I don't understand why customers don't mind waiting here but not in a safeway line up. As much as I like Costco, the savings do not reflect your time it will take to get those savings. There are 14 checkouts at the Surrey Costco and you will NEVER see them all open, irrespective of how many customers there may be. Very poor management and extremely frustrating. Customers can be lined up half way through the store and still they don't put more workers on the tills. I have actually abandoned my full cart of groceries when confronted with a long line of maybe 8 open tills. Total gong show. I only shop online with regard to Costco and watch my local fliers for groceries. My time is too valuable to waste shopping at a store that disrespects it's customers the way Costco does and an express line for only a few items would go a long way. Recently I have had some really great customer service from Costco! 1. we bought a gorgeous fire pit only to have the fire department show up letting us know that there was a bylaw that we were not allowed them. I spoke with the people at Costco and they said 'not a problem bring it back. 2. We bought 2 toilets (water saving ones) and one of them had a hairline crack in the tank - I spoke with the people at costco and they said 'not a problem bring it back and we will exchange it for a new one. Not only did they do that, but they also gave us $20 off for the hassle! Costco really had an amazing return policy and worth buying things from there because you know that you will be covered. We recently bought the deal that they had for new gutters - now we will be covered by the lifetime from the company and Costco. read more

They kept bringing in vehicles ahead of her and she waited over 2 hours before finally asking them to give her car back. At this point they started working on her car. Poor service from cashier Ro....（didn't want to show her full name just to protect privacy） I went to Costco Surrey few days agoto When I inserted my payment card, it was declined. I decided to go home and get another card and asked the cashier if she could save the stuff for me for an hour, she refused, and I said ok I'll just come back and shop again. I left the cashier area and realized I didn't get my membership card back. I went back to the cashier, who apparently just put the card aside without calling me. I got the card back, and walked away. Almost immediately after I left, I heard her saying:"What else do you want? No money..." and she started laughing. At first I felt sorry because the staff would have to put everything in my buggy away, and after I heard the laughing, I was shocked. She is one of the people who likes to start conflicts, and Costco hires her to deal with people. Are you serious? At Costco, we don't just buy products, we buy service also. What kind of service is that? Luckily I found another card in my purse and bought the stuff. After someone ran into my car in the parking lot and drove off, I will not be back to this Costco. It cost me $300 to get my bumper fixed on a brand new car. Been going to this Costco for years with only good things to say. That is until Jan 5, 2017 when I tried returning a cell phone that was 2 days over the 90 day return policy. I spoke with the manager and explained my situation and he said it's company policy and even if were to contact head office no one was going to be able to reverse this. I used to love my Surrey Costco. Now, I dread going. It's gotten insanely busy. The line-ups are always long, and there are never enough cashiers open first thing in the morning. I used to enjoy a leisurely shop, checking out all of the clothing, and new items. Now I focus on my list, and how quickly I can get out of there. Someone commented on having to show our card on entry and I must agree. Why are we showing our card at the door? We can't make a purchase without it.
