Lots of kendamil here

We finally ventured out here after the initial hype has died down. Getting to the location is quite a bit of work due to traffic in Queens borough. However, getting into a regular Costco is hectic too. Things i like a out the business centre: it is a lot more spacious, way less people and much more variety in everything. Contrary to what most people believe, there is a lot of regular sized merchandise being sold. It also sells a lot of items that you'd find at regular Costcos. I saw quite a lot of interesting items. For example, industry sized stock pot and a huge barrel of maple syrup that costs $2000 something.

Costco Business Centre just ooened and we went on day 2 of operations. Day 1 was madness with bad traffic but the customers got full sized samples. No samples on day 2 when we were there. We spent about 90 mins exploring the entire store. Parking can be busy as with all Costco. It took us around 15 mins to get a spot after we stop circling. There were traffic marshals for the opening weekend to help with traffic. Overflow parking is available at the casino. Look for the sign. Pro tip: just choose an aisle to wait instead of going around looking during busy times. There are always people leaving. The business center is focused on huge quantity and single serve items for small businesses and restaurants. But I'm glad to see there are also things you can get at the regular Costco here. There is a huge refrigerated room for meat and produce. In here you will find boxes of meat and flats of eggs, huge wheels of cheese and many more. It's super cold in here. There is no food court and toys and clothings. I didn't see much electronics either. It is mostly a food and food related products store. From what I saw today, dairy is definitely a good deal. Things on sale in regular Costco are also on sale here.

curiosity won and we decided to check out the 'first of its kind in bc' (finally) new costco business centre in new west, the one the news claims has single handedly destroyed traffic as we know it. it's on 1085 tanaka court, right next to value village and the starlight casino. we arrived around 5:30 pm on a sunday, mentally preparing for crowds, chaos, and possibly fighting someone's aunt over parking. honestly, the place is so massive it basically swallowed the entire population. at 146,000 square feet and about 3,000 items, it makes sense. this used to be a lowe's, and it's perfect for cafés, restaurants, or anyone who wants to stockpile for the winter, throw a huge block party, feed a small village, or just buy in ridiculous bulk, assuming you have the space to store everything. it wasn't busy at all, and even the cashier lineups were surprisingly orderly. there's no clothing, no roast chicken, and no concession stand, so no polish hot dog and soft serve swirl to reward your bravery, but they do carry some truly outrageous bulk items and commercial grade restaurant supplies. we're talking a $900+ full wheel of parmigiano reggiano, that infamous 208 litre drum of evoo (perfect if your fridge is roughly the size of a studio apartment), a 15 kg tub of pure desi ghee, and a heavy duty 60 quart mixer. they've got plenty of the same items you'd find at a regular costco, plus supersized, on steroids versions you'd never see anywhere else. great for businesses, cafés, restaurants, big families with even bigger homes, or a group of neighbours willing to split industrial quantities of cheese and oil.

This place is a hit and miss. Some items are cheaper and some just doesn't make sense. If you run a…read morebusiness or a restaurant than maybe it will work out for you. Otherwise, it really depends on what you buy. Some items require you to buy in multiple of 2 or 3 or even a dozen. Not all items are in bulk or sold in multiples of many. I can find better prices elsewhere for most of the items here. I am guessing that is why the store is never busy.

I sometimes come here to buy plastic disposable gloves among other items for food prep. It's like a…read moremini costco where it's basically a big warehouse and everything is on very large shelves. Unlike Costco, you DON'T have to buy a membership in order to buy stuff here. It's entirely optional. The membership includes perks like member only discounts though. Typical of warehouse stores, a lot of the items are packaged in bulk. For example, you can buy a 6 pack of giant condiment bottles instead of just one pack. Another thing is some discounts are only given if you buy multiples. For example, a bottle of sweet chili sauce goes for $4. But if you buy 4 or more, you get 50 cents off each bottle. All in all, this place is really good for people who buy in bulk. One small negative is that the price tags are hard to find. I came with old relatives who had to look very carefully for the price tags because they were jumbled up with other product price tags for other items that were nearby. Other times, you would have to stoop to the very bottom and peek under a not so see-through plastic lining partly covering the price tags. Also, some prices are more expensive than other grocery stores. I didn't buy a 12 pack of pop here because they were more expensive than other places. Came around 8pm and the checkout line was long. It stretched to the middle of the whole store. The line moved relatively fast and I got to the checkout lane 10-12 minutes later. They have a Walmart style checkout line where one giant line is for 4-5 checkout tills. As far as I know, there are no self checkout lines at this store. Staff here are pretty nice. I forgot an item and they let me run to get it and come back. They chatted about personal stuff with another staff member as they rang my stuff up though. Interestingly, even though Wholesale Club is a sister store of No Frills and Superstore, you CANNOT earn optimum points but you can redeem them here. At least that was what I was told by the cashier at the time. All in all, I would come back once in a while for the restaurant or food prep supplies which aren't really sold in other stores or buy items i need in bulk and get a small discount. 3 out of 5 stars.

Not bad in some stuff but it takes a lot of cinnamon in my morning rolled oats to hide the unwelcome flavour that oermeates everything. Even airing it out at home for months has not removed that. I love curry. Just not in everything, including baking supplies.

I bought a whole rotisserie chicken and intentionally bought one that was slightly lighter in color. Unfortunately, when I was eating it, I noticed some parts could have been cooked a touch longer, so I thought it best to cook the chicken a bit more. My cashier was friendly and talkative.
