Okay. Originally this would have been a complete negative review…read more I went to Costco today after work. Checked the app on the way and it said membership expired. Shucks. Fine. I will renew. Normally mom does. Messaged mom I will renew today don't renew it online. She tells me she renewed it already. Huh . Okay will find out what's wrong with the account when I get there Get inside and line for membership is long. Not waiting what looks to be half an hour. So. I go right past it to the front end supervisor booth (pro move, very little they can't handle there by the way FYI for those who read this review) Explained what transpired. They looked into it. No no it shows it wasn't. Could she have mistaken it for a previous renewal? I dunno but I need to shop today. So I paid the renewal at the supervisor booth. And then shopped. Paid at self checkout all works Ordered a Lyft home and while riding. Looked at the app to send mom a pic it's all done. And. It still said expired Sept 30, 2026 okey. Log out. Log in... still expired. Okay. Check for updates. None for Costco or my phone iOS. Now this is aggravating. Called to try and get it resolved. After all the song and dance on the self directory. Our office is now closed. Called the store I paid at. Picks up right away. Transfer to supervisor. Any supervisor. After a very brief hold someone picks up and sounds like they accidentally hung up. Argggg!! Okay called again. Same thing. And then I was connected to a lady. Whom after i described my visit. She's like. I think I was the one helping you. At the front end booth? Yesss!!! She then tells me. Yes. It's renewed. Because you were able to check out at self checkout. It takes 24 hours for the app to reflect that you renewed it. And the system has safeguards in place that even if you managed to renew it twice it would issue a refund for the second payment. Now if only the Costco app showed "expired... and a tiny heads up memo like. Renewals at store level takes 24 hours to reflect" would have removed this whole issue of panicking that the renewal didn't apply on the account. Now. Mom still thinks she renewed it in July or September cuz she shopped last month. So. They did say. Have a look. And see if you have payment history in the account for that amount. But. They are fairly sure we didn't renew it in July. Overall. Costco app is a bit laggy on that. Should find way to update it to reflect right away. That said. Self checkout. Moved. From near pharmacy. To near entrance. And I went all the way to self checkout. To find out. It moved. And then the crowded area I decided to line up at checkout "1" which was taking so long I left and went all the way back to the other side of checkout to self checkout. And get told by the man managing checkout flow, that NEXT TIME you should go down the candy aisle to get it the line up for self checkout, not drive the cart through the checkout line up area. . If you had proper signage indicating that self checkout moved, or. That self checkout starts somewhere I would. But. Ya know by now I've had my fill of aggravation and delays that I just want to checkout and go home. Normally Costco is like a 30 min visit for me. Grab and pay. Today I was there like an hour!! All for toilet paper, paper towel, Kleenex, and garbage bags. . Oh. And they moved the household goods aisle. To the bread area. So the only thing now that remains was the paper products. Soaps cleaners bags detergents etc. have now moved. To the most illogical area of the store. Think I might after this stock up for annual supplies. I feel like I aged a decade from just this visit. Costco used to be fun. Now it's a mess. Nothing in areas together. And checkout is absolutely chaos. And no one manages the carts outside either. And now the wheels all lock to lmao so if you go near a curb then you can't move your cart unless you run into a cart wrangler. Which is what happened when I was waiting 45 seconds at a spot for Lyft to show up only for stupid taxi to park & my wheels locked. and I couldn't move my cart to the spot behind this taxi for my Lyft ride which showed up. Membership is $136.50..... I kinda expected to have a better visit but right now today superstore is less aggravating . Oh. And I got told. You can't do separate bills at self checkout. Lmao I lost it and went semi psycho on the dude who tried to tell me I couldn't. I told him I'm so done with all the nonsense today. I'm checking out. Here. And I'm splitting it into two bills. And I did. he's like okay you can this time (he's smart. He could tell how annoyed I was by some thing that happened outside his knowledge and just decided to let it slide) just know next time you can't. (We will see about that )

We had to return our air conditioning unit because it was delivered broken (not Costco's fault) and returning is always daunting but the representative we dealt with (and the other so could hear close by) were very courteous and understanding. No grumpy servicing and hopefully that is because no grumpy customers haha - line seemed long at first but many only had one item to return and the staff were fast and nice for the most part! I also got my eyes checked at the optometrist and saw Costco staff for their contacts trials. The staff are so patient and kind but can get very busy if there aren't enough staff allocated to this department. I appreciated the calm and educated demeanor the staff had with me as I went through contacts lessons for putting them in and taking them out. Physically I have smaller eyes/lids and particularly struggle with touching my own eye. I stated I wanted to practice for certain events or occasions where contacts would be more beneficial and even though I was insecure and nervous - the staff made me feel safe and understood! There was no belittling or rushing me out of the appointment. They were encouraging and positive!

The entire staff in the hearing centre department were so kind and patient towards my family and I. They made the process seamless and efficient. I am unfortunately terrible with names and had written them down, but I lost that piece of paper so I do want to stress if management does ever come across this review to please give extreme kudos to the hearing center team. The rest of the staff that we encountered at this location were also kind, and there were no qualms. The space was clean and the food court staff were also very efficient and quick. This location is not the typical one that we go to often, but I would recommend people to come here for their hearing aids easily!

Contrary to what most people believe, there is a lot of regular sized merchandise being sold. It also sells a lot of items that you'd find at regular Costcos. I saw quite a lot of interesting items. For example, industry sized stock pot and a huge barrel of maple syrup that costs $2000 something.

It's a little bit off the beaten track, but easy to find and in a nice clean safe area slightly off Main Street. You don't have to have a Business Licence to shop there , but they will set you up with an account. From what I read you can set up a Net 30 day credit account, but I just paid cash so not sure the specifics on that, but I'd assume for that a licence and or application would be required. So the store space is fairly large. It's very clean, spread out and well merchandised.a There is pretty much everything you could need ! And what a variety to choose from including: Hangers, tissue paper, bags, carts, baskets, Covid safely supplies, fixtures and more fixtures ! Boxes - all sorts! Jewelry displays, ring sizers, stamps, pricing & tagging guns, Bubble mailers, and my favorite part of the store - the mannequins and dress forms.
