Costco is wonderfull if you need...and storage space for all things bulk. They have reasonably priced electronics, a full pharmacy, food, clothing, books, textiles, housewares, perscription eyewear... They cover everything in some way shape or form. I like this store as it is well maintained and...well...close to home. It's a tough place to "dart into" for an item ir two. Inventory changes. Deals come and go...and just to make sure you have to go almost everywhere in the store...products migrate from one isle to the next in some areas. All in all...I've been a member for years, and am really never disapointed. The imprtant part is actually usung ones membership to justify it's initial cost.

I love Costco! This location was no exception. I still believe that Costco has the best meat in the city (and surrounding areas, since this one is in Sherwood Park). They also have pretty darn good produce which is surprising for a wholesale store. But you don't have to buy produce in bulk if you don't want to. They have small containers of berries and stuff so don't think that everything is bulk and you have to eat bananas 3 meals a day for a month straight. Costco is great! I love it and you will too!

Review Highlights - Costco

The gas bar is really easy to get in and out of, and the parking lot never seems to be as congested as other locations.

I started going here about 12 years ago when I moved into Old Strathcona. Back then, I found this…read morestore to be dingy and disorganized. I could not stand the long lines at the registers, so I quit going. Yesterday, curiosity got the better of me. I noticed they spruced things up a bit and I wanted to see for myself. I asked a staff member if I needed a membership because it had been so long since my last visit, I wasn't sure if things had changed in that area. Happily, I didn't need one and I just picked up a couple of things. Produce mostly. I was pretty happy with what I saw, but they still try to hock their near-expired meats and veg on certain racks. It looks disgusting. Overall, it sure is a lot cleaner and brighter inside. At 3:30 pm, I did not have to wait long to pay. I think I'll be back in the very near future.

Superstore Warehouse requires no memberships to come in and purchase . There is no one there…read moreverifying receipts when you walk out either. The store has a variety of cooking / baking and kitchen needs. From home cooking to restaurant / buffet equipment ( I even noticed they sell hot dog machines !! ) . The meat / deli bulk fridge is well stocked as well. I usually buy the bigger cuts of beef and pork because during the time I spent at home I learned how to cut them into meal portions ( thanks YouTube ). I actually save quite a bit of money when I buy in bulk. The freezer section has a lot of different products - not just your normal frozen chicken / beef. The seafood area is also well stocked with a lot of choices. Sadly Edmonton does not really have a fresh fish market. Lots of frozen pies and cakes as well. One thing I also like here is the wide selection of spices and dried goods . I use a lot of spices when I am cooking . Spice is the variety of life isnt it? There is also a wide variety of drink crystals, syrups and other choices. Once i have loaded up, off to the tills. Due to covid, you have to stand at a spot on the floor and wait your turn but the wait is never too long. While you wait they tease you with racks of candy and snacks.. tempting though. The one thing I like is bagging my own groceries. It always amazes me how much I can actually put into one plastic bag vs staff who pretty much insist on using far too many bags. I dont really care the loaf of bread is sitting on top of a carton of eggs. A few bags later, I am stocked up for awhile and dont have to go back to get more every second week or so. I love how the staff there wear t-shirts that say " be kind ". How sad we have to tell people to behave themselves.. but then again there are some that just feel better yelling at staff . Good store if you want to stock up for a long time.. worth going just before winter so you dont have to go out in minus 40. Yea there are things that are slightly more expensive than other stores but the idea is to buy in bulk and stock up. Definitely worth going for your bulk needs without having to buy a membership.

We're quite happy that this place is here and that we were able to find the items we were seeking. There is ample parking here as well.

I heard about this store via Twitter - the mama-twitterites were all a-twitter about this new store coming to town. It piqued my interest. So, because the hubs and I are such wild and crazy partiers, one night we decided to go crazy and visit the Bulk Barn - because hey, you only live once, right? We went in with absolutely no intention of buying anything and walked out with a bag or two. I thought I had no expectations but I guess I must have as I was a bit surprised by the store. Mainly, I was surprised with how much gluten free food they carry. We grabbed a huge bag of GF pretzels, some chocolate bars, pure oatmeal (VERY hard to find!). The inside was jam packed with not only bins of bulk items, but also a lot of extra stuff like cake decorating supplies, snack foods and even a Sponge Bob Square Pants pinata - I mean really, does it get any better than that??? Overall, I was most impressed with the large variety of selection they have available. I will be returning, if for no other reason than to gaze lovingly at Sponge Bob.

I really like the new location as there is lots of parking, the store is spacious and bright inside and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The wall on the right side of the entrance changes with difference themes periodically. The store is laid out so there is lots of room to look around without getting in other people's way. The paper is displayed by theme along with stickers and embellishments. They carry some unique papers like printed acetate. Ink, markers, ribbon, stamps and die cuts are located near the back of the store. What I was so excited about was to see stamped images on watercolour paper. There was a selection of different images and greetings for cards, each sheet was $1.79. The images can be coloured with Copic markers, watercolour pencils or aqua painters. You cannot walk in and not buy anything. If you spend over ten dollars and you get one scrap buck which does not expire. They offer Saturday crops as well as the occasional weekend crop. They had more dies, more stencils and to my amazement they even carried gilding flakes ! The staff are wonderful and friendly. I was also impressed with how good their website is. I spent a fair bit of money there but was very pleased that I was able to buy products that even Michael's doesn't carry such as Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink pads and the inkers to go with them. The selection of dies to be used with Cuttlebug's, BigShot's etc. are AMAZING ! I LOVE this store!
