I needed to pick up some prescriptions so decided to get my meds here this time to see if their pharmacy is any good. At the door, I was told that from 9am -10am, it is executive level hour. I told the woman checking IDs that I am going to the pharmacy and she let me proceed. I showed up here at 9:03am and I told the guy working the register I was there to pick up my prescriptions. First thing he asks me is, "Are the prescriptions for you or your pet?" I almost busted out laughing because we here in America are so good with our pets! We love them so much! I mean why wouldn't you love a dog more when you got crazy AF humans roaming around?? Doggies are loyal, sweet and predictable. In any case, my meds were ready, however, I presented additional Rx insurance for the clerk, so he told me to wait, so they could run it again. I waited about 10 min and the price for both my meds were slashed well over 50%. Thats just ridiculous, if you ask me. I had a prescription shampoo price slashed from $30 to $15. And a 90 day prescriptions price of $40 slashed to $15!! What the heck honestly? In the 10 min I waited, the Rx line just got longer and longer. And the poor clerk looked so deflated. This place felt so busy at 9am! Wowsers. Deducted one star cuz I hate fighting humans and avoid them at all cost. Clerk was super nice to me and he also allowed me to purchase a few other items from the med area. I'd come back here again but would want to avoid the crowds. Definitely come here when they first open. Also note that the pharmacy is closed on Sunday. They are also offering flu shots, I may come back for that. read more

Another excellent experience getting COVID booster and annual flu vaccination. I made our appointments online, and all we had to do here was sign the authorizations. We were in and out in less than 12 minutes. Booking vaccination appointments on Costco.com is definitely the way to go. read more

Disappointed. I went through the trouble of making an appointment for the flu shot and entering all the information ahead of time. We were early for our 10 am appointment and were made to sit outside the room waiting for 50 minutes. They need more pharmacists! Next time we are going to CVS or Ralph's. read more

Customer service is abysmal and they always roll out new useless ways to get your prescriptions (lockers). Now you can prepay but still have wait in a long line and deal with surly counter folks. Costco, how about taking the money for the lockers and putting in another register? read more

Go somewhere else. I only go there to pickup my mom's meds. The customer service on the phone is horrendous. Enrique Pharmacy Tech is just plain rude. Costco Carmel Mountain is the worst Costco location ever!!!!! Avoid it like the black plague especially on the weekends!!! read more

Thanks Costco Pharmacy for taking care of me for all these years! From Faroz, Mary and Melissa to the Pharmacist - Dave! The crew at this location is the best! Excellent customer service provided, time after time after time. Consider this location when needing your perscription filled. You can thank me later. read more

I go here for my mom and myself. I have had one good interaction, i believe he was a pharm tech by the name of Simon. He's great! Everyone else i've interacted with at this pharmacy has been more than unpleasant. I feel rushed and judged every time i pick up or try to ask questions. I will be transferring everything to another pharmacy. Simon is appreciated, everyone else needs to work on it. be more like simon. read more

This pharmacy location doesn't even deserve their 2.5 star rating. I called to ask a simple question regarding cost for my dog's allergy medicine prescription. The woman currently working was so rude and flippant with me, proceeded to put me on hold, only to then hang up the call after two minutes on hold. I called back twice just to be hung back up on. I am in the service industry and I understand that Fridays can be especially busy, as I'm sure the Costco pharmacy is no different. However, I would've wished that she simply would not have answered the phone rather than to receive the treatment that I did. We're all just human trying to do our best, and at the end of the day, you never know why somebody is calling into the pharmacy. What I do know is that it's obvious the woman who is currently working (6/23, @ 3 p.m.) needs to find another job, or better yet, maybe even a new career. How disappointing. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere for kinder service. read more

Very rude staff. I had some RX issues and this was about the worst pharmacy experience I've had, especially out of "Beth" the head pharmacy gal. Can you imagine being an older person trying to navigate these people that clearly hate their job and really must be overworked and miserable? This Costco is nice but this may well be the absolute worst most rotten pharmacy in town. Don't use them! read more

We save more than half of what we were paying our vet for our dogs prescriptions. My only regret is not knowing they filled pet prescriptions sooner read more

We go here often for my prescriptions as well as our dog. Literally almost every time we try to fill a prescription its a complete shit show. More times than not when my doctor calls in a med, if the pharmacy doesnt have it in stock, they dont call, text nothing to let you know it is not ready for pick up. They let you know after you have battle the Costco parking lot, crowds and stood in line to tell you they will need to order it for you. I recently had all our prescriptions transferred to CVS and was amazed at how seamless the process was of obtaining my meds. Who knew! read more

This pharmacy is terrible. They are unwilling to talk or help you and they will hang up when they don't want to talk to you. They are very rude and lack any sort of compassion. I spoke to Helen on the phone and she would not listen to me and would not provide additional information when asked why they refused to fill my prescription. I would not recommend going here if you have a medication that requires timely fills. read more

We just found out my dog has bladder stones so she was prescribed a couple medications. The antibiotic I had to pick up at a human pharmacy as it was way more expensive at the vets office. The hospital ended up calling in the prescription to this Costco pharmacy for me which was a big time saver. When I got there the person at the pick up window was extremely nice and prompt. It only took a couple minutes to put in all my information and my medication was ready about 8-10 mins later. I was in and out in about 15 mins which is really good considering it was my first time picking up a medication at a Costco. I also got a really great discount for being a Costco member. Will definitely be using them for any future medications. Thanks Costco! read more

I was lowballed on a prescription by a considerable amount. It was cheaper at CVS. I now know why this place has only two stars.

Avoid at all costs. My family and I have been going here for years, and it's been getting worse year-over-year. This place is terrible is being stocked with pharmacist that literally don't care if you get your medication or not. No calls, no guidance or advise when something goes wrong with your prescription. Just terrible workers that do not care. Just think about how much they may care screw up by giving you the wrong medication. read more

I had the worst experience in Costco pharmacy today regarding my mom prescriptions. So when I was in there, the pharmacy technician told me they will txt us when it's ready, however the number on profile is not even her number and I was asking if they could change to the number that can reach out to her, but they told me that she can't change to the number she wanted... that's ridiculous that patient can't have the right to change the phone number ... after everything they finally changed. After 45 min of waiting, me and mom finally can pick up our prescriptions, and I was talking to the pharmacy cashier about why is our prescriptions got transferred from rite aid to here, which nothing related to the previous argument, then suddenly the pharmacist jumped into our conversation( without even introducing herself.. nothing...) and spoke about previous " phone number problem" .. i was so speechless( i didn't even mention anything about that..) , because I'm trying to let it pass, but she brought over again... At the end, I understand during this time, everyone is not happy, but I just want them to know, the patient is here with me and she does not speak very good English. She has the right to choose her care. AGAIN! SHE IS HERE WITH ME !!! SHE HAS THE RIGHT! read more

If Yelp ever needed a "negative stars" designation, this would be the place. Don't be fooled by a few pennies difference in price; there is precious little in the way of customer service and the hours are ridiculously inconvenient. The pharmacists are rude and arrogant. In a report on NBC dated January 19, 2017, "Costco will pay $11.75 million to resolve claims that some of its pharmacies filled improper or incomplete prescriptions for controlled substances in violation of federal regulations, the U.S. Justice Department said on Thursday." Steer clear of those people and their incompetence! read more

Second time I have come in and they didn't have my meds even though I was given a time to pick it up. I should have been given a courtesy call if they weren't able to fill it. They need a new procedure because this lack of service can not continue. read more

Great prices, abysmal service and speed. We're new in town and had high hopes based on our experiences back home. Unfortunately this location is either consistently short staffed or just slow. I consistently wait 15-20 minutes every time prescriptions are picked up. I'm a big Costco fan otherwise, but if you're in a hurry this isn't the place to send your prescriptions! read more

When I brought in my script they called my doctor, which is normal.the frustrating part was when they told my doctor they refuesed to fill it, not because he filled it out wrong, but because they were" uncomfortable" with the amount. so I had to make another appointment so he could write out a different one, THEY ARE NOT DOCTORS! That is just one out of the many bad experiencesI had there. They are unprofessional and I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to this place.its almost like they are a seperate entity. When you shop in the store everyone is nice. but once you get to the pharmacy, customer service goes out the window. I now go to a CVS with a drive through.they text when its done. And they are polite. read more

It is a rare occurrence that the prescription is filled on time. No apologies given. I will be changing to a pharmacy that has the time to call me when there is a delay due to their lack of stock. I will gladly pay a little more to get the service I receive at at Walgreens on Felicitia in Escondido. read more

While Costco works pretty well, their pharmacy is patchy. It is not usually the corner drugstore for most of us so when you go for a prescription, you want it ready. The latest debacle was a trip to get a prescription that I had requested they hold. Well, they didn't and it had to go back on the shelf. This is a pretty simple instruction and bumbled by the same people you hope put the right pills into the bottle; pay attention to drug interactions; and have many other responsibilities. If their system can't hold a prescription, it makes you wonder what their error rate is on filling them. read more

I agree with the other review that customers' time is not a priority. I am guessing the delay in filling prescriptions is to make you wander around and be tempted to buy unnecessary stuff. I am planning on having this prescription transferred elsewhere soon!!! read more

Gonna keep writing negative reviews till this pharmacy get their customer service in shape. I spoke with Bethany (Beth) who works at the pharmacy and was a real pain to speak with. I called because they ran the wrong payor for the medication and she said I needed to bring the insurance card in. I asked her why and she said it was expired, I asked her multiple times, "are you running the correct card?, the Blink Health card?". And she said yes yes multiple times and blamed me that I don't know what i'm doing. Finally I asked her to read me the member ID card and low and behold she was never running Blink Health to begin with even after I confirmed with her many times that she did.... Sigh, frustrating right.. And then once she realized she made a mistake she was really choppy and cold. At the end of the call I said "thanks, Bethany", she said "No my name is Beth." Even though she introduced herself as Bethany,(I wrote it down at the beginning of the call). Okay "Beth".. I hope your day turns up and I hope you can learn to treat customers better please. :)) read more

The staff at this location are wonderful! Twice have gone above and beyond their duties to help me by calling other pharmacies.
