Leo is The Absolute Best!…read more Honesty Quality Customer Service Speed of Service Wide Selection Excellent Value for your money You really need not go anywhere else. Dont take my word for it or my whole family's for that matter -- we've been going to Leo for almost a decade -- Try it for yourself, once -- and you wont ever go to any other optical shop after. He also suggests new & fresh perspectives on what frames compliment your facial shape. We just picked up my wife's new prescription sunglasses today and we love the new style & shape of sunglasses Leo recommended. Their name should really be Very Good Optical -- better yet, Excellent Optical!

I had to be off the contact lenses to recover, meaning I would need glasses. I didn't have any glasses, so I needed one quick. My optometrist referred me to Good Optics. I was greeted by a pleasant Korean man who I believe was the owner. He accommodated my bored children by giving them ice cream. He had me try out many glasses and help me conclude which one to buy. He had my lenses and frame ready within 15-20 minutes. The frame was fair value considering this economy. The lenses I paid out of pocket giving I already use my insurance to pay for my annual set of contact lenses. Unfortunately for me, i won't need this place probably ever. I will be going to Japan to buy more pair of glasses for a fraction of the price and once my condition fully recover, I will start using contact lenses throughout the day again. Anyways, if you need glasses and frame ready within minutes, I recommend coming to Good Optics.

I came in with a very simple issue involving my eyeglasses, and he took the time to help me out while being incredibly reasonable and fair. It's refreshing to experience this level of customer service, especially when someone is willing to go out of their way to help without making a simple repair into a big ordeal. I genuinely appreciate the service Kee provided and would absolutely recommend Eye Glasses Direct to anyone in the Santa Clarita area looking for eyeglass or sunglasses repairs, prescription glasses, or general eyewear maintenance. I wasn't able to wear them as they were, but I wanted to keep the frames. Most of the optometrists in my area were unwilling to just do the lenses. This is when I discovered Eye Glasses Direct. They were a referral from Walmart optical of all places. The owner is very thorough and made some recommendations I'd never thought of before. I won't lie...the prices seemed high, and I'm not sure he bills insurance, but for the first time in a long time I actually have glasses that work! I paid about $450 a pair for just the lenses. These were progressives that included a lightweight lens, with blue light protection, and non-glare and scratch resistant coating. Turnaround time was exceptional and my glasses were done in less than two weeks. This will be my new go to for filling prescriptions. Highly recommend.

When I found out I needed glasses and contacts, she was very good at explaining the different types of contacts and which ones would work best for me. I had no problem picking my glasses and lenses and within a few weeks, I had all of it in my possession! Now they are a phone call away and in a matter of a week, I can go and pick up my next set of contacts. Cleanliness and safety are emphasized. The Dr. wore a mask throughout the examination and when trying on glasses, everything was sanitized afterward. I appreciated the various equipment to measure eyesight. Cons: Prescription won't be released, until you've purchased through them. Seems unfair since the examinations were paid for. My prior provider was transparent with my prescription and I could have a copy, if desired. Frame options were limited to the more stylish and costly version. Lastly, limited hours of availability could make it difficult for some to schedule an appt. outside the hours of 8am to 5pm. They are open some Saturdays so you have to inquire with the office.

On the most recent visit there was an error with my frames. I had the great luck and pleasure of getting Ericka (manager) to help sort things out. She went above and beyond and I couldn't be happier. I was looking for a more affordable option but still wanted quality lenses and a professional experience. When I called, the person I spoke with was pleasant and assured me that they offered quality products. Based on that conversation, I scheduled an appointment and brought in five of my existing name-brand frames to have new lenses placed in them. I also purchased one new pair of eyeglasses and one pair of sunglasses. The doctor was nice, but the exam felt extremely rushed. I was in and out in less than five minutes, and there was very little explanation about my vision or prescription change. The bigger concern happened during the measurements for my progressive lenses. The process felt disorganized, and the measurements had to be repeated several times. The representative also had to mark the progressive lines multiple times because the pen was not working properly. When I received the glasses, my vision was blurry. I was told it could take time to adjust because my vision had changed. Unfortunately, almost nine months later, all six pairs are still blurry and uncomfortable to use. These included some of my favorite frames, including name-brand glasses, and now they are basically unusable. My original lenses were removed, so I cannot even go back to using them the way they were before. I am very disappointed because I wanted this to be a good experience and possibly switch from LensCrafters to America's Best. Instead, I feel like I paid for lenses I cannot use. I believe either the prescription was not done correctly or the progressive measurements were off. I hope management or corporate takes this seriously and helps correct the issue. I would like the lenses reviewed, remeasured, and replaced properly.

He made sure I received my refund promptly, and I really appreciated how quickly and professionally he resolved the situation. Because of Craig's follow through and customer service, I'm updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars. I just had YAG Laser treatment for the return of cataract symptoms. "Symptoms" not the cataract,…read moreitself, because the new lens is artificial and won't cloud up. I had cataract surgery about a year ago. Within 6 months, I had to set aside a couple of books because I could no longer read the small print. At the time, I just thought that I needed stronger reading glasses. Over the next 6 months, I noticed a decline in distance-vision. So I came in for an exam and found out the problem. About 30% of patients who have had cataract surgery experience a return of the symptoms. Blame it on your immune system: healing cells conglomerate at the back of the capsule holding the new lens, clouding it and preventing light from going to your optic nerve (I think). While this sounds scary, the fix is so simple. Dr. Helm used his laser to blast away the membrane formed by the healing cells. It took about two minutes per eye. No sedation, no surgery, zero pain sensations, and you can drive yourself home. Piece of cake. Like everything else at Helm Vision, the process was competently managed by the staff, and you end up sitting across from Dr. Helm who is forever cheerful, calm and reassuring. You rest your chin on the same kind of apparatus for your eye exams, only this one has a laser. Those books I had set aside? I can now read that small print without any difficulty. As to distance, I'm 20/20 again, at nearly 80 years of age. Dan Carrison Santa Clarita
