Stopped on a Tuesday morning up from Key West to do a stockpile shopping run. This store did not carry a few of the products I was looking for which are available in other greater Miami area locations. Real drawback to this location is the literally amazing amount of clueless "deer in headlights" SHEEPLE!!! About ready to have cart rage multiple times here at the amount of sheer idiocy and rudeness of other customers all with a vapid glazed look in their eyes which also carried over to the parking lot and total cluelessness in the etiquette of driving! The checkout person was personable, but I guess I shouldn't have questioned why the cart unloader had to remove every single (when there were multiples) large items from cart when there is a scanning gun. went to get a membership and was greeted by some blonde kid. He kept pushing us to get both memberships as a bundle but it was extremely aggressive. When we said no, he got about 4 different people to try to TO him to close the sale. They ALL ended up lying and tried FORCE us to pay for a membership we didnt want. There was a ghetto girl with tattoos that was sleezy and sneaky with aweful sales tactics. We were there for 40 minutes trying to sign up for a membership because they kept trying to upsell us. I ended up not signing up with them and signing up online myself which took 10 minutes. They need proper sales training. They also need to have some integrity because lying to the customer and forcing them to get different packages is not a proper sales tactic. The manager "Manny" was also not helpfull. Love shopping at Costco. Great selection in all types of items: computers, electronics, office supplies, jewelry, furniture, appliances...they even have name brand clothing at reasonable prices. Also love to come here to buy food and wine. This place has an extensive supply of different types of wine ranging in price from relatively cheap to relatively expensive. Also has a large well stocked liquor store. The ability to buy food in bulk is especially a great money saver. I come and buy meat and then use my handy vacuum food saver to be able to freeze all this food. The vacuum food saver I got from Costco too. Another great thing to buy are detergents and other household cleaning supplies....very cheap compared to supermarkets. Costco really helps my family keep food and some daily essential costs down. After going to this Costco for over 13 years, when they were originally at the Loews location, I have never seen or experienced the worst customer service. After spending an hour shopping with my wife, when I went to pay they did not accept AMEX. Which I can understand because it's a business decision but what pissed me off was that the Visa that I was paying with did not have my wife's name on it. Are you kidding me? I'm not sure why I've never left a review for Costco; I love this place. I'm here easily two or three times a week. I've had a BJ's membership in the past but, in my honest opinion, the two are apples and oranges. Costco sells just about anything you can think of including, vehicles, spa's, beds and even caskets. I do the majority of my grocery shopping here and focus on the fundamentals like meats, eggs, almond milk, and veggies. Costco also sells clothing including Polo's, Shirts, Slacks, Jeans, Socks, Underwear, Shoes, Boots and even seasonal winter items. Pros: 1. Great place for deep discounts on electronics (especially TV's) 2. I figured out long ago that you can come here around lunch time and have an adequate amount of free samples that will leave your tummy satisfied. 3. Greatest return policy of all time. 4. Check out their SquareTrade warranty deals. 5. The Kirkland brand name is great and in my opinion synonymous with quality. 6. Costco gasoline is available to all members and is usually cheaper than the leading brands. Cons: 1. Customer service line takes forever. 2. I bought the 2 lb. feta (divided into 2 separate sealed packages), opened 1 of the packages for consumption and the next day the cheese had turned green. I LOVE COSTCO! we all know that buying bulk is really the way to go, especially during these dark times. So Costco is 'THE' choice to get your stuff on the cheap. Perfect to bulk up on necessities like paper towels, toilet paper, water, etc. But beyond the cheap, its offers food at a spectacular level of quality. The steaks, ribs, pork chops, even the pizza they sell are all restaurant quality and priced at levels that would kick Publix, Winn Dixie, AND Wal-Mart butts. Its also a great place for electronics, blu-ray/dvds. they carry some 'cool' clothes as well like buffalo and lucky brand. Plus they sell tires, and cheap cheap gas (but be wary of the lines..especially on sundays) costco also has a little food center right by the registers. They offer literally the cheapest bites. hot dog+soda for a $1.50..a WHOLE 18" pizza for $10..jeez. it doesn't get any better than that huh? Annual Memberships are $50..which is the only drawback..but it is definitely worth it, especially when you consider how much you will save throughout the year. Everything you will ever need in one place in Bulk. You need a membership to enter and buy here. They have them for the individual and business. Located in a large strip mall by the Tamiami airport. This place gets packed before holidays and especially the weekends. Most of what you find here is either in bulk or super-sized. They have clip less coupons so you don't have to cut them or worry about if you brought them. They accept cash, debt card, and American Express. Staff is bilingual and helpful in finding what you're looking for. They have large shopping carts and large dollies for you shopping needs. They also have plenty of parking in this location. read more

I've always been impressed with this Costco, even at it's previous location closer to Kendall. Always stocked, always organized and reasonably priced. Another thing that speaks well for it as a place of employment is that most of the employees have been there since I've been going there, since 1998 or so. What brings me here today is a nice experience that I had today, even though it started out not-so-nice. I must first say that even though I love this store, I also must say that in general big warehouse spaces always wig me out. I get hot and sweaty while at the same time my skin is cold. By the time I'm done there...I A.M. D.O.N.E.!!! So, I wait in line for about 10 minutes and finally, it's my turn...{{{{{{Angels sing AAAAAAA}}}...so she rings me up (I have no extra money today, it's basically, pay for what's in my basket and stay home till hubby's payday on Friday) and says, it's time to renew, I am going to add $110 (when did it go up AGAIN??!!) to your bill. I tell her, "oops, I don't have the money today, can you ring me up and I'll come back on pay day to renew?". I have done this before and it's not been a problem. They ring me up and keep my card (I assume so I don't try to do this again;) She says, "Nope, sorry, I cant do anything about it, Luis, put her groceries back" and hands me my card. I walk away empty-handed and a little stunned but the kind soul that saw me coming in earlier sees me at the door and asks me what happened. I explain to him (pretty sure I was teary-eyed at this point) what happened and he calls over the manager who is a nice-looking tall black man (I'm only describing him because I didn't get his name and I'm hoping he reads this review;). I tell him what happened and he tells me that he will take care of it. He leads me over to the "put back" carts and helps me collect my stuff in another cart and then leads me over to that register way back over by the cigarette section, opens the cash register, calls over an associate and tells the guy, "take good care of this lady for me, just don't scan her card". The guy scans my stuff, I pay him and Mr. Manager comes back around, looks kindly in my eyes, and says, "I am so sorry that this happened." Pretty sure I fainted at this point. In Miami??!! If the world was at the apex of ending from a zombie attack, the one place I would like to be is Costco Wholesale Club. Why? It is humongous, stocked with different types of non-perishable food items, and since it is a warehouse, the aisles are wide (for your shopping carts), and you can definitely find anything you need. You can even stock up for months on produce, batteries, canned foods, clothes, and baked goods to bring home all for an affordable price. Quick tip-- They also sell bicycles and car batteries to aide with a quick getaway. What?! You are running low on gas? Don't look any further. This Costco has a gas station-- which may cost less than your average Shell station. Would you rather be drunk during your fight with the zombies? This place also has a section of the warehouse sectioned off, all filled with discounted alcohol. The only thing that would hinder your chances of survival would be getting stuck in one of those industrial freezers you have to walk through if you want to get to the vegetables (at the produce aisle) or a gallon of milk, towards the back of the store. Can you say "frostbite"-- or even worse the dreaded hypothermia. But I must warn you, some may be prevented access to this "sanctuary"; you need to first secure a membership, which can ultimately be your passport to freedom! Costco... the one place you should go to stock up on food, gas, booze, and everything you would ever need. Now time to prepare for that zombie attack.... bring it! read more

Do NOT order appliances or large items from Costco. They claim to stand behind their products, they offer a "concierge" telephone line to take care of members. We have had an LG refrigerator from Costco that is under warranty, but has not worked for 49 days and counting. We've had the same repair company sent from LG three times and have spoken to various departments between concierge and major appliance and internet within Costco upwards of 30 times to no avail. In almost every instance it was because we had to call back to try to get any resolution. In most cases the Costco departments don't talk to each other and you can only get to the appropriate department by being routed through one of the other departments. If you ask for management involvement, good luck with that. The only thing worse than Costco's response through this ordeal has been the response or lack thereof by LG. Finally after 46 days without a working fridge, that again is still under the two year warranty, and getting the constant run around from LG, Costco has agreed to take the unit back as a "return". However, we are still waiting to find out when they can pick the unit up. Having gone a month and a half without a working fridge, we felt no choice but to simply buy another refrigerator, which we did from Home Depot. However, when that refrigerator gets installed today (thankfully) we will be stuck with the non working unit sitting in our house until Costco can dispatch someone to pick it up. The entire experience has been pathetic to say the least. As a loyal Costco member since 2002, this will be my final dealings with them and as someone who once bought into the myth of their customer focus and customer service, I would advise anyone against ordering anything from them. read more

I have a BJ's right next to my house, yet I travel 20 minutes to costo. I've been a costco member for about 10 years and love it. Their brand is fantastic. Here are a few musts: egg whites, milk, eggs, organic produce. I also make purchases there for clothing and toys for my daughter. I love that they give out samples of products as it is always good to try out new thins, and with this, they give you a chance to taste them before purchasing. It is a bit busy during weekend, but what isn't? The employees are helpful and most of them have worked there for years and years as they love their jobs and feel valued. Great company and perfect place to buy in bulk. I recommend becoming a member. Their cafeteria is also good. They have pizza, hotdogs, sandwiches, desserts, and much more! This Costco location is not for the faint of heart. The parking lot is a clusterf*ck, the whole entire store is even worse, and then you have to wait in line to exit while they check your receipt. I seriously need an anti-anxiety Rx to step foot in the door. Tom W. sums up the clientele to a tee, I have never seen so many stupid inconsiderate people in one place in all my life. Maneuvering the giant cart around the store could be an Olympic sport it's so difficult. But, at the end of the day I will keep subjecting myself to the extreme annoyances because they have a lot of stuff I want and need. Buying my toothbrush heads and razors here pays for the membership with savings on those two items alone. They have a lot of organics available at great prices and much of the produce is an amazing value. I try to stay focused and only get what I came for, otherwise the bill can really add up quick. There doesn't seem to be a good time to shop here, it's always nuts but if you stay focused you may make it out alive. EVELYN at the food service was very disrespectful towards me as a customer she made me wait 40 minutes for my order. When my order was ready a long time ago!!!! My husband and myself asked her several times about our order and she kept looking up where they place the Pizzas, and told us the order is not ready yet. I had to wait 40 minutes standing in front of her when my order number 615 was ready, she kept asking all they way up to number 650 and I had to call the manager on the floor to assist me because this woman EVELYN which insulted me after the floor manager left. She started insulting me and took my receipt and threw it in the trashcan. I cannot believe how rude this employee is!! How inefficient and low class she is. I had my daughter with a fever waiting for her food. This is totally unacceptable and she didn't even apologize to me. She will get reprimanded for this bad behavior!!!! My experience in this store has rarely been pleasant there is always an issues with the lines payment type and nasty attitude from the staff, I always try to give companies a chance but with this store it is impossible if I'm not returning something because it is expired I am waiting in line for the non existent customer service. The staff acts like they are doing you a favor by buying there not like you are spending your hard earned cash. I just wanted to take a moment to write a review, which I never, ever do. And I should. I work a full-time job with a long commute and my time is limited. BUT I HAVE TO WRITE AND COMMEND THIS COSTCO for my experience yesterday, March 29, 2020. Of course, we are living through a pandemic with social distance guidelines issued daily and we're all on edge, many people with family members who are sick, including myself. My husband and I have been dreading going to the grocery store for weeks, but yesterday we were low on supplies and off to Costco we went. We were both wearing masks and gloves, and about 50 percent of the customers in Costco were were wearing masks, though most were wearing gloves. But what I was most shocked by was how empty the parking lot was and how few people there were in the store, very carefully maintaining social distance. Obviously, locals are getting the hint that we should stay home as much as possible. And Costco's staff did several things to make this experience more efficient, including putting a large list at the entrance of all the items they were out of that day (the usual suspects, paper towels, Lysol, etc) AND they were wiping down the grocery carts as we walked in. They also arranged the entrance in such a way that we had to go in single file in order to maintain social distance. And aside from the aforementioned sold-out items, all the other food was well-stocked. And a manager made a point of telling our check-out staff that they had to spray down their station constantly. BRAVO, COSTCO! A BIG THANK YOU to your staff for working on the frontlines during this health crisis and providing a friendly, efficient and safe experience. FIVE STARS read more

Let me start by saying that i am a Costco fan.. Always have been.. All their products are very good in quality , however this is the third time that I have encountered an issue with their rotisserie chicken from the deli department ... It is not well cooked. I have addressed the issue with them and they have offered me my money back or another chicken for free but really who wants raw chicken . It is very dangerous and it is disgusting . Not to mention the fact that when you are buying a rotisserie chicken you are buying it for the purpose of arriving home with at least 75% of the dinner or meal ready for your family .. You don't want to cut up your chicken and see that is raw and go back to the store to exchange or stick it in the oven to cook it .. It defeats the whole purpose. I was hesitant to post this because I don't like to post negative reviews but fact that I have addressed the issue with them and they have yet to resolve it. I just want to put out here that a lot of people can get sick from consuming raw chicken.. Salmonella! They really need to fix this issue .. And look into this . What's not to love about Costco? One of my favorite stores. The only downer is the long lines that always seem to be present. Fortunately, they just added self check out lanes to diffuse the problem. I also wish they would stay open later on the weekends. What can I say, I love to shop at all hours. Costco has all the best products at the best prices. Their very own Kirkland brand is better than any store brand product and just as good as the name brands. I've tried everything from their toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, dish detergent and even organic chocolate milk! It never disappoints. Their deli is top notch, with interesting platters/meals made fresh every day. I've bought furniture here and love using the Photo Center service. I even buy movie tickets for cheaper here. This location wigs me out. All Costco's follow one of about 3-4 layouts. This style replicated the one in Davie with the hard to access produce and dairy in the opposite corner. It's easier to not have to walk in a cooler but the way the coolers are arranged allow for a bunch of broken eggs, and hard to handle corners. Once your familiar with the store, try to rely on staff help as minimally as possible. Chances are, if they don't work in that specific department they will be little to no use. I asked where the Perrier was and the guy tried shooting me over to the oil section before telling me they were out of stock. Literally, two seconds later I found the flavored Perrier and made sure I told him they did in deed carry it. Que roña me da! Try to fuel up when you're here before getting back on that dreadful turnpike. As always, grab some wine as their selection is pretty good. Make sure to spot out some sturdy boxes around the store for the items you buy as there's no bagging system here or at any Costco. read more

So I took the plunge the other day and joined. Saved more money that day than the membership cost me, so it was certainly worthwhile. It is, however, a bit more hit and miss than I realized. For non-food items, there's a pretty wide selection so that you can either find what you are looking for or a useful equivalent. Food is a little trickier. If like me you want organic products you're pretty much out of luck and really for produce generally you'll want to shop elsewhere. But if you are a big meat eater, and you like large quantity items, it's hard to go wrong here. We have been a member of Costco since 1989 when they open their store on flagler street. it was a pleasure to experience the warehouse shopping. When we moved to Kendall we started using the kendall store and it was fine until they had a change of management and employees. Things changed,they are rude and lazy they don't want assist you! They treat you with a condescending attitude!!. We were regular customers all the time and purchase everything from costco. Until someone at the door said to us she has birthday coming up. My wife and I congratulated her but her attitude changed, She started following us around and calling other employees... This was upholding!!! our experience there was really terrible. This Costco location has a lot to offer. I'm also very surprised that they even sell herbs like basil. The prices are very reasonable especially on the liquor. A bottle of Johnny walker blue label was $176 ....that is fantastic considering it was $225 in Alaska. The staff is very helpful here too. I will join the others in saying... I LOVE Costco!!! It's in a nice area with a lot of other shops and restaurants. New and pretty. The store is big, high ceilings, well lit. Always very clean. The first time I went, I lost count how many times I said "Wow look what they have!" Very impressive what kinds of things you can buy in bulk. Gourmet quality stuff! I haven't had any problems with the fruit, always fresh and good quality. I love the bakery, with their delicious breads, muffins and pastries. They also sell birthday cakes. This is the place to go if you're entertaining. They have large platters of shrimp, sandwiches, salads, pizzas. They sell Legal Seafood soups, though I haven't bought them yet. The Kirkland brand is their generic brand, and it's just as good as other brands. I also love buying personal care products like shampoo, deodorant, face wash etc. So much cheaper in the long run!! The only thing I don't like about this store and why I gave it 4 stars is that there's no signage as to what's in ever aisle, and sometimes what's grouped together doesn't make sense. So if you're looking for something specific, you have to ask someone who works there (I usually can't find anyone...) or just wander through the store until you find what you need. Everytime I come to this Costco I find something new to love! Not only do I shop for groceries here but I get my tires, glasses, and gas here! They also sell clothing, books, and furniture. Pretty much a one stop shop. The workers here are usually nice and helpful. It can get vey packed, even in the early hours. The only downfall is that they only accept American Express credit cards. As expected, Costco is always filled with swarms of people almost as if it is forever Black Friday at this store. If it wasn't such a good store, there wouldn't be so many people. On top of the heaps of money you already save by buying in bulk, Costco sends out cupons to save a couple dollars here and there. My favorite aisles are always the produce, and the meats. Somehow Costco has managed to sell cherries way out of season. I don't know how and I don't want to know, but I am grateful! After shopping here a couple of times, you get really greedy going into other stores and see that you are paying the same price for smaller quantity. The self-checkout lines can become somewhat of a pain, with such heavy and oddly shaped items, the itty bitty scanner is nearly impossible to work with.
