I used to have an aversion to the blatant "Simpsonian" American over-consumerism that is Price Club style America. I find such levels of cookie cutter big box style buying to be abhorrent! However... After we joined I started to SLOWLY warm up to the idea. We've come in along with the hordes and had an actual healthy smoothie or not so healthy pizza & ice cream at the easy price food area before or after indulging in the warehouse that IS Costco. Are the prices worth it? Yes, IF you really need that 10 ton feedbag and will use it. Electronics are well played here, lawn furniture, comfy Thomasville couches, electronics, pots & pans, kitchen, bathroom, all manner of meats, wines, cheeses, produce, seafood, salads, boxed everything foods, beauty, jewelry, health, etc AMAZING inventory. It's a never-ending rows upon rows ala the Backrooms horror movie! If you come with list in hand, can control yourself from impulse buying and genuinely use large quantities specs or special big ticket items, this is IT. It's crazy, tho. One can definitely become overwhelmed quickly! Try it out with a Groupon special, or similar. Don't expect to get in & out quickly, but it is reasonable. Come at off peak hours. I've always loved Costco but I love it even more now after getting new tires. I've been needing new tires and visited the tire center to get a quote. The guy, who I recall is named Angel, helped me. He told me which tires the car needed and the best time to purchase them to get a better deal. As suggested, I waited. When the sale began, I returned to the tire center to make the purchase but Angel informed me that they are sold out. However, he provided the item number of the tires so I can either check online or call him to find out if they are in stock. For the next week, I checked daily online. I finally found the tires in stock and made the purchase. The tires arrived to the center earlier than anticipated and I had the opportunity to change my appointment to get them installed earlier. When I went, the tires were installed right away. Within an hour, my car was ready. Overall, I absolutely loved the guidance I received from Angel through this process and how fast and easy it was to make the purchase and have the tires installed. Receiving texts from Costco providing updates truly made the process easier. And lastly, the best thing is the price. Nobody beats Costco prices. read more

Refrain from visiting the optometrist at Costco in Kendall Square. The customer service there is subpar. I recently left a location due to an expiration date on my contact lenses, which would have expired within a month. The staff was unable to extend the expiration date despite my request to do so while I was traveling out of town and had limited time to schedule an eye exam. Their inability to print my prescription further exacerbated the situation, leaving me feeling as though I was being held hostage and extremely annoyed. Additionally, the doctor was not present in the office. Instead, a front desk attendant provided subpar customer service. She was unable to provide me with a specific time or the doctor's expected arrival time. However, she was able to inform me that the Doctor should have been at work by 10:00 AM, but it was 10:38 AM, and the doctor was still not present. read more

This Costco is super out of the way in a very annoying neighborhood to drive through (crazy long red lights, crazy drivers, and school zones) if you aren't a local. The gas savings is negligible for the 7 miles you have to drive to get here and unfortunately, there is no closer location to the Keys than this one. read more

Buy in bulk for a party, for household, or to stock!!! The quality of the items is good, fruit is good too - quality is great!!!! Refilling your propane tank is the easiest thing, leave it, do your shopping and pay, pick up your tank! They will charge you for the amount that your tank will be filled, but to a certain point there is a cap on how much they charge you. VERY reasonable.... other places will charge you more for filling your propane gas. I really like Costco but it's far from my house. I would be here every day if it was closer! You can't beat the prices for the hot dog with a soda for$1.50, a large pizza for $9.99 and the rotisserie chicken for $4.99. If you don't like crowds, you need to go early. We usually get the steaks, beef tenderloin, baby back ribs, 2 whole chickens, salmon, tiger shrimp, butter, organic eggs, pesto sauce, Jasmine rice, spring mix salad, and frozen fruit for smoothies. The prices are usually cheaper than a supermarket. Today we got a Christmas tree. I've been getting my Christmas tree here every year for the past few years. You pay for the tree in the liquor store and then you pick up the tree by the trailer. I usually get one right after Thanksgiving. There is usually a line but it goes fast. There was no line today but they didn't have many trees left. We got a small, skinny tree for $53. I know that I have to go early next year. read more

My house is filled with so many great purchases found at Costco, last year I purchased a Dyson fan at a remarkable value. The produce at Costco is consistently fresh and of the highest quality. The meats are outstanding and well priced. I love their selection of cheeses, and the fresh pasta always makes for a quick meal when I'm in the mood for cooking. Welcome to Costco, where I can say they really love you:) I was deep in the boondocks of Kendall taking care of errands where I figured I'd do my monthly Costco run here. The physical store is about the same size, if not a little larger than my usual Miami Lakes store. The highlight for me are their fruits and vegetables! They seem to have a steady supply of large & fresh fruits (especially blueberries and cherries) at what seems to be bigger portions than the regular South Florida supermarkets. Oh and let's not forget their prepared hot foods - that rotisserie chicken - and their sandwiches. For times when prepping for a party or food gifts, they have a nice spread of cheeses and wine. Their liquor store - where the harder stuff can be obtained - has a separate entrance due to Florida's archaic mentality on liquor. Sadly because of "You Know What" the samples aren't consumable anymore. However, the staff is friendly and really helpful. The store looked pretty clean as well. read more

Holy cow this Costco is big. This Costco is mammoth. I don't know if these guys have different floorplans but the one near where I live would fit inside this one with room to spare. What does all that mean? It means tons and tons of everything to choose from. I went and did some food and some bed and bathroom shopping last week and got everything on my list no problem. My problem started at the DOOR with my accurate membership card. I had an expired rewards from Citi but called ahead to see if I could still redeem it since I was ill but needed to 'stock up'. I asked if I could redeem my Citi Rewards at the cashier or did I need to wait in the huge line marked exchanges or membership. The very unfriendly young lady said I needed to have the Citi Mobil app on my phone that I never use. I explained I had my email with the barcode, reward info plus permission from Costco to use it. A young man witnessed this crazy interaction as I kept repeating I had the credentials but wanted to know which line to get in. She attempted to open my mobile app to 'update' but the updates weren't accepted on my device. Whatever she did, my perfect info on my email got wiped out because it was expired. She turned away many people with not current memberships very sternly. I know this is her job but I did as I was told and she wasn't nice at all to me either. I then proceeded to speak with a manager and got totally ignored. (I'm 83 so guess us old ladies....) Finally a nice lady 'Betty' (manager) helped and mentioned 'Citi will not issue another rewards'. I shopped spending $255 and stopped at Citi who said to call the # on the card. I did and got disconnected. I called back to be told NO NO AND NO by a very not nice lady. I then phoned Costco corporate and spoke with a VERY nice person who understood my LONG story and the girl whose hand my phone was in when my reward info disappeared. I still have the main Email that said how much it was for but without the certificate am the one losing out SO FAR. I am getting if you have a Costco membership and Citi card, this is a bad idea although I've not had a problem with Citi and had only a few problems with individual people at Costco. For the most part the staff is very helpful and I love the products. Corporate was going to try and resolve this and I am braced to begin a membership at BJ's. I understand rules and grumpy people but 'this' did NOT need to come to this over a small rewards. Why pay a membership to a store I've been a member of since '92 and before that when it was on Kendall Dr to be treated badly. I repeat, at age 83 this COULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED AT THE STORE!! COSTCO GAVE ME PERMISSION TO USE MY OUTDATED REWARDS, and A STORE CARD CHECKER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MY DELIMMA WHY DO I HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO FIX. read more

I have not been to Costco for a long time. I loved how most of the employees are still the same!! I go many things I needed. Prices are ok. But the best part is the food corner where they sell: Pizza Salads Hot Dogs Ice cream Acai bowl Sodas and more to eat right there. In regards to their Gasoline station. Despite the fact that it's CONSTANTLY backed up, they've recently implemented a new system where you can ONLY join the lines from either 120th or 128th. Basically you must wait in the longest of lines and be directed into one of the queues. I underuthey want to alleviate the traffic flow but they're just causing MORE traffic this way. I have not shopped at Costco in years and the reason we were able to make the trip today was because we wanted to buy a few things for our international trip to visit some relatives (e.g. chocolates, candies and coffee in bulk). This particular Costco is located in the London Square shopping mall and what's great about this location is that they have their Costco gas station on site, too. Prices are usually comparibly lower to other gas stations. Parking is usually packed but the turnover rate of customers coming in and out of the warehouse is pretty quick, so you'll usually find a parking spot closer to the store (at least it has happened with us). As you walk in, you can identify items in each aisle as you try to locate things that are essential to you. Otherwise, if shopping in a wholesale store is new to you, it is worth it to peruse items and compare prices online or to other stores to make it easier to make a decision on the spot. I have compared prices to BJs online and found that some things are pretty much priced the same, but something like the Taster's Choice instant coffee is about $2-3 cheaper at Costco. You got a variety of categories to go through and I kinda wish each aisle had an identifiable label to indicate what's what and where. I think one of the best things about this Costco is the fairly quick checkout lines. Pretty much every register was open and we've only had to stand behind one customer before getting our stuff checked out. My only issue was that we were using my sister-in-law's member card which meant we could not pay through credit card or Google pay since it wasn't under her name, so we just used our debit card. (We're currently NOT Costco members, but are considering becoming one soon). Overall, our shopping experience with this Costco was nice and smooth. We knew what we were looking for before stepping foot in the store, so we could be in and out quickly. Our interactions with the store clerks have been satisfactory--friendly and helpful. read more

The best time to go to Costco is when you have no real need for anything inside Costco! This store is usually pretty well stocked and I love to just walk around and see what's new! Always have good samples and usually 4-5 samples being given at one time!! I will say this location is pretty busy AT ALL TIMES so be ready for that.
